WIP Wednesday!!

trebuchet / 123RF Stock Photo

So what's happening on the WIP front...not much. Okay, that's not totally the truth. I mean, things are happening.

Rhiannon from Savin' Me got her story told. I had no idea she wanted a story and then she started talking. Grin. Love when that happens.

Arran and Mindy have started talking again, too. Apparently, and yes, Toni, this is for you, there's trouble in paradise, but not the trouble one might think. Grin. I won't disclose a lot, but let's just say there's jealousy there. I love torturing my characters.

Summer from Please Remember Me has come back. I had a lot of people asking me about Jude and Drew from When You're With Me and that got Summer talking. I'm excited. Now if Maggie would start talking, I'd be in like Flynn....

Oh well, back to the bat cave!

Sunday Snoggin' With Please Remember Me

I love Sunday Snoggin' Time. Why? Because there are so many hot snogs just waiting to be discovered. There are! I want to thank Victoria Blisse for having the Snogs because it's a great idea! Now, what's my snog? Please Remember Me!

Here's a little bit about the book:

Erotic Rating Total-e-burning

And now for that snog!!!!

“Jaden?” One more moment and he’d be able to get her out of his system.

Who was he fooling? One kiss and he’d be sunk.

In the doorway, she turned. “Call me Jaden Marie. My mom always called me that. I like it better. It seems more like me.”

“Well, it is you.” Good gravy, he sounded smooth. “I mean…”

“See? My awkward social grace is catching.” A giggle swept past her lips. “I’ll see you tomorrow?”

“Yeah, come by around ten and we’ll paint the town.” Oy, that sounded even goofier. He clamped his mouth shut but still reached for her. As much as his conscience dictated he let her go, he yearned for her. She paused. Should he go for it? Why not? Jaden beat him to the punch. With lightning speed, she touched her lips to his. Her eyes fluttered shut as she leaned in to him. With his tongue, he traced her mouth, her lips soft as petals on his skin.

Wrapping an arm around her waist, he tugged her close. The stiffy grew. When they parted for air, he gasped, “I’m glad you didn’t disappear, Jaden Marie.”

Her voice came out in a whisper. “I am, too.”

New Book Video for the Crawford Boys Series!!

I love Goddess Fish Promotions. Why? Because they created this fantastic video for me. That's right. I love it.

Here are the tag lines, since it is Flirty Friday, for the books mentioned!

Right Where I Need to Be - Sometimes the love of your life isn’t the one you expect, but he’s the one you need.

Please Remember Me - Sometimes the hardest role in life is being true to yourself.

Over My Head - What happens when two opposites realize they have more in common than expected?

When You're With Me - A topless dancer plus a cynical cop doesn’t equal a lifetime love...or does it?

New Review for Please Remember Me!

Rose from Talking Two Lips had this to say:
"The scenes between Jaden and Marlon are highly enjoyable; they have great verbal and physical chemistry. Jaden really wants to start over and she’s determined to make it on her own but at the same time she does want Marlon in her life. Marlon can’t seem to decide how he wants to be involved, which creates additional tension and angst in their relationship. Ms. Zwaduk really does a good job of developing their relationship; it takes time to build trust and these two go back and forth a lot as they get to know each other both emotionally and physically.

The secondary characters in this story are well developed and very important to the plot. I especially liked Judi, an older woman in town who hires Jaden to work with her dog and gives her a place to live. She was just the kind of person Jaden needed in her life to help her start over. We also get to meet Jaden’s dad, Rex Weir (Rex Haydenweir), who really was a piece of work but eventually comes around and recognizes the damage he’s done in his daughter’s life. There are several antagonists in the story who make things very difficult for Jaden and Marlon, and they provide additional angst and action in the story."

I'm stoked. 4 kisses isn't bad either!

Guest Blogging Over at Whipped Cream!

I've got a guest blog up over at Whipped Cream. Whew! Forgot I'd written it. Check it out while I finish mopping and scrubbing the house. First day of school always means I need to get lots of laundry done, mop the floors-no one in the house so no one stomping through the wet floor-, scrub the potties cuz apparently the males of the household don't believe that hitting the pot is important. Blech. So read the post, comment and I'll get my chores done so I can comment, too!

Flirty Friday ~ Updates and Stuff ~ Where I'll Be

So this whole business with the hurricane, and justifiably so, is crazy serious. It's gonna get bad if things go the wrong direction.

The businesswoman in me says that if you're gonna hunker down, why not load down the nook, kindle, ereader with my books? Gives you something to do while being in safety.

The mother in me says, just make sure you stay safe. Find somewhere that hopefully won't blow away, get soaked and make sure you have lots of drinking water and food and blankets and batteries.

You're in my thoughts.

But if you aren't in the path of the hurricane and have nothing to do...

Please Remember Me is out in print and getting rave reviews. Pick up copies of Ever Fallen in Love and What Might Have Been while you're at it. And do enjoy!

Savin' Me comes out in September (the 12th!) in the Treble Anthology from Total-E-Bound. It's my first time in an anthology, so I'm stoked.

Tomorrow I'll be over at Whipped Cream's Yahoo loop chatting. Come check it out. Random prizes all day, Nook/Kindle/$150 GC up for grabs. Megan's chatting on Sunday so yeah, you should be there.

I've got my usual huge load of WIPs going. Gypsy's story got a huge bump when Allan and Todd finally told me their stories. Thanks, guys.

And, I signed the contract this week for When You're With Me. Yup, the stripper and the third Crawford Boys book, (it's a side story to Right and Please) comes out in March of 2012 (wow that seems to close yet so far away) from Total-E-Bound.

I turned in the Greek, so we'll see what happens to him.

Have a great weekend, stay dry, read, and check out the chats!

Anniversaries, Tours, and Releases....OH MY!

I'm starting the tour today and heading over to Romance With Attitude. Go over there, AFTER you do something for me here and hey, you could win a GC to Amazon or BN.

So what do you have to do here? Well, this is my tenth release and the first story I'd ever written, so today is a little anniversary for me. A special occasion. Now, do you want to win a GC to Amazon or Total-E-Bound, today? Comment. Yup. BUT, you have to give a little about your first love. Megan was Tucker's first love. Mine? He was the son of a friend of my mom's. We're still friends, even if things didn't quite work out. So now's your turn.

And while you're at it, nab a copy of Ever Fallen in Love and a print copy of Please Remember Me. Both are out today!
Tucker lost the love of his life once, but this time, he’s not taking no for an answer.

Once a driver, always a driver...

Racing consumes Tucker Poston’s life. Until he sees her again...Megan Rodney. She’s the one person to come between him and his ride. She’s the only woman to understand him. The only woman he’s ever loved. Circumstances tore their love apart. Now he’s determined to show her the contents of his soul, even if it means losing his heart.

Being a driver doesn’t warm his lonely nights. Too bad she’s not interested.

Megan’s not about to fall for his smooth lines and slick image. She’s got a good life as a team owner for a stock car team. Still, memories of their love affair burn bright in her mind. What’s a girl to do when the man of her dreams, the man who pushed her away, wants a second chance at forever?

Reader Advisory: This book contains a little spanking, anal play, and domination shared between former lovers, but no one’s complaining. For good measure, there’s the sizzling use of a Camaro hood for outdoor pleasure.

Flirty Friday

So it's Friday. Time to talk about what's on the schedule, what's coming up, and what I'm up to.

On the Schedule?

Ok, I had a guest coming 8/15, but circumstances have put the interview off for a time. Nichelle, my heart goes to you.

Monday! Monday! Monday! On Monday, I'm talking about my latest release, Ever Fallen in Love. This is a near and dear to my heart because it's got a racing arc to it and it's the first ever thing I'd written. It's very much edited and revised since that originally penning. But in celebration of the release, I'm having a contest. Want to take part? Win a GC to Amazon, BN or TEB? Stop back and comment on Monday about your great love. Easy Peasy. And while you're at it, Please Remember Me comes out from Total-E-Bound in print. Want a copy? Click here. It's sure to be a treat.

What else is happening next week? I'm the Spotlight Author over on Whipped Cream. Cool, huh? There's a contest going over there, too. Read my spotlights. You'll learn new things about me and should have some fun.

What's Coming Up?

I'm chatting on the Whipped Cream Yahoo loop on 8/27. Come on over and have a blast for the Anniversary Bash. You could win a kindle, nook or $150 GC to Amazon or BN. Cool, eh?

September 11th, I'm blogging over on Hitting the Hot Spot. I'm not exactly sure what I'm going to talk about as well, it's a heavy day. But come check it out and maybe we can swap stories.

September 12th - Treble Antholgy releases from Total-E-Bound. I'm really psyched about it because it's the first anthology I've ever taken part in. Parkur, Jacoby, and Juniper were fun to write and I hope the fun I had translates into the story.

What am I up to?

I'm always working on Gypsy's story. Seems she gets sullen and doesn't want to cooperate. It happens.

I've had a request for me to finish my firefighter story. I gave bits of it to a friend and she wanted to know how the whole thing comes together. Might have to dust that one off and get moving on it.

I'm still wavering on finishing the sequel to Careless Whisper. Lis really wants her story told, but I don't know. Thoughts?

Anyway...unless I'm helping Megan or working with the CPs I'm going to get some writing done this week. (I hope.)

Monday Moans ~ When Characters Won't Talk

I try to do a Monday Moans every week, you know, to let the characters run for a little bit. I like to let them loose from the cage here and there. But I've got a little problem. They don't want to talk.

If you're a writer, what do you do when the characters won't talk to you? Why do I ask? I'm stuck, that's why.

It's like they know they should be saying something, but they're staring at me with petulant looks on their faces. You want something, we don't want to put out...deal.

BUT I DON'T WANT TO DEAL!!!

Oh well. Maybe they'll be chatty next week.

In other news: I got a review! Yup. For Please Remember Me. I have much love and respect for Whipped Cream Reviews. I guess it's because even when they give a lower rating, it's done with tact, eloquence, and you learn something.

The author puts the reader in the position of not knowing what the truth is and what should come next. When you think you have it figured out, here comes another curve ball. The emotions, the heat and the conflict are almost tangible and suck you in like a vacuum.

Not bad, eh? I'm pretty pleased.

Flirty Friday

It's that time of the week. Time to do the Friday Flirts.

I've got news, but I want to be cautious about spreading it, so I'll wait a little longer. Hey, can't blame a girl for being cautious.

I'm working diligently on the stripper story. It's almost there. We'll see.

Megan and I have been on a super Queen jag, so maybe I'll pop in the cd and we can crank out the stories.

I got the print cover for Please Remember Me. No idea when it will be available in print, but I'll let you know.

Found out Savin' Me will be in audio form, print form in the antho, and a single title release. I'm psyched.

The plan is to finish stripper story, then get moving, really moving on Gypsy's story. We'll see.

I'm taking Ever Fallen in Love on tour through Goddess Fish in August, release week. August 15-19. I'm stoked. Also in August, I'm going to be a spotlight on Whipped Cream. Cool, I know.

Ta for now. I've got essays to write.

Peer Review For Please Remember Me!! I'm Squeeing!!!

Please Remember Me
by Wendi Zwaduk Reviewed by Sam Crescent

Please Remember me is a story about a young woman trying to discover who she is and gain her independence.

Jaden Marie is twenty three years old, has a very precarious past, a bad relationship with her father and just wants to be left alone to discover the woman she was meant to be. For years she has been living a lie, making sex tapes and living the high life where she didn’t care about anyone.

When she meets Deputy Marlon Cross, he makes her want to be a natural woman. She wants to be loved and wants to love someone in return.

I do not want to delve too much in discussing the main story line. The book speaks for itself and talking about the plot would ruin the experience of reading every single word.

Every page deals with Jaden and Marlon moving past their insecurities to find the love they truly feel for each other. Their relationship is filled with twists and turns but all of it is worth the roller coaster ride to the end.

I found this an emotional book to read. Any woman who has spent time wondering who the hell they were, will be able to relate to this book. Wendi Zwaduk really works on the emotions and describes the character’s fears and hopes wonderfully. The relationship was brought together beautifully, each scene working together into a wonderful ending.

There were moments that made me laugh and then made me want to cry, I got angry and sad. Please Remember me is a must have and I highly recommend this to anyone.

Thanks!!! Love It!!

Friday Flirts ~ This is the Day....

So I sat down to write my weekly Friday Flirts post when I happened to be channel surfing, too. I mean, are there people who don't multitask and watch tv while listening to the ipod? Probably. And they are the energy saavy. Sorry. Not one of them. I have the attention span of a gnat sometimes.

Point is, I was watching the good ole VH1 Classic, kept typing Vlassic...must be a pickle reference...and happened on Empire Records.

Now I don't know about you, but that's like a slice of my high school life. No, I didn't work at an awesomely cool record store (but yes, I know what a record is and have many of them). I worked at a teeny tiny not quite department store that's no longer in business. And no, I didn't work with anyone nearly as super hunky as Johnny Whitworth or Rory Cochrane. Trust me. If I had, I would have soooo many more ideas in the memory bank.

So now that I've totaly rambled, I promise, I'll get to the point. It made me think of those songs and those times during high school. I wrote What Might Have Been thinking about my high school days. Good times. And speaking of good times, I've had some requests for Berto and Remi's story. I'm not sure how much they'll want to tell me, but hey, I'm game.

I'm still plugging away on Gypsy's story. She's being...well...Gypsy. I'll get there.

Turned in the prequel to Tangled Up, so for those of you who loved Arran and Mindy and wanted to know the whole story...well, fingers crossed.

I've got a story about a couple of teachers brewing, so we'll see where that goes. Got a request for Rhett's story and one for Felicity. Oh and while I'm at it, I'm supposed to write Maggie and Ray a story, as well as flesh out the one for Summer. Sheesh. I'll be busy.

Good thing I like busy. TTFN.

Two New Reviews!!!!

I opened the email and the Review Faery popped in. Yup. Two. Double squee!!!

The first one came from Whipped Cream Reviews. Foxglove enjoyed What Might Have Been and I'm am thrilled. She gave it five cherries. How awesome is that?

I love Wendi Zwaduk’s small town atmosphere in her romances. It makes me feel like these are people I know, or would like to meet and be friends with. The characters in this are all too familiar: the arrogant jock gone to seed, the society queen of the prom, all those folks left behind as you grew up. This is a very hot story, and the scene where Tanner gives Macy complete trust and control is one of the best scenes in the book.

The second review to pop into the box was courtesy of Literary Nymphs. This one is for Please Remember Me and I am tickled pink. It got four nymphs and I can't complain.
Both Jade and Marlon have a lot of mistrust issues to work out. Between the plot twists that show up, and the scheming by those around them, it was very easy to see why. I thought the last twist in the scene between Jade and her father was a wonderful one that I did not see coming. I also enjoyed the way the author resolved one theme that showed up in the book.

Thanks to everyone and I hope you continue to enjoy the books!

Flirty Friday

What's happening on the Wendi front?

Lots!! Starting Monday, I'm taking Please Remember Me on a blog tour, courtesy of Goddess Fish.

Also on Monday, What Might Have Been, my newest contemporary romance releases from Total-E-Bound. I can't wait.

I am also working on a prequel to Tangled Up, as asked by popular demand. The plan is to get moving on the follow up to My Immortal, soon.

I'm still recovering from the Cincy trip, but it was so worth it!!!!!
