How many secrets can the Queen City conceal?

Charlotte, NC - 1966

After a head injury on the basketball court, Tony Malone, a firefighter, confides in his best friend and captain, Steve, about a strange dream he had while unconscious. It was as if he were living a different life. Steve brushes it off as related to his injury, but Tony begins to experience more phenomena with these new memories, unbeknownst to his wife, Lana. Tony struggles to live with his secret until a fire opens up a whole new world.

Charlotte, NC - 1996

Chuck Thomas began his ascent to greatness at a graphic design firm headed by Elizabeth Wheaton, the battle-ax of the Queen City corporate scene. A series of Chuck’s immoral decisions leaves the very powerful Wheaton with a raging vendetta. The playboy eventually meets Valerie Meyers, a shy girl with a complicated past, and the two marry. Their idyllic life is halted by a suspicious brush with death leaving Valerie once again picking up the pieces.

Two Souls, Too Many Questions

Literally torn between two worlds, Valerie must once again deal with the loss of her husband and come to terms with what happened to Chuck Thomas and who Tony Malone really was.

Read an Excerpt:

“Hey, so what? Oooh, I said ‘Shamu.’ Big whoop. C’mon man. You know she's been called that and worse before. Besides, she knows she’s freaking gorgeous now. That’s how she stole you from me. We had a good thing going and she messed it all up!” Grant’s demeanor was gradually showing more of his intoxication, but Chuck couldn’t help himself. In one swift motion, Chuck lifted Grant off the chair by his collar and pinned him against the brick wall beside the door.

“I’m done with you! You have always been an entitled narcissist, but I will not… hear me, Grant… I will NOT allow you cause problems in my marriage. I put up with all of your snide remarks and inability to take responsibility, but I’m just as bad as you if I let this slide.” With his forearm pressed firmly against Grant’s windpipe, Chuck was thankful for the shadow he noticed creeping over his friend’s face by the headlights of a cab making its way up the drive. “Your ride is here.” He released Grant from his grasp and took a step back.

“You’ll be sorry you overreacted tomorrow, Chuck. I’m the one who has always been here for you.” Grant readjusted his collar and cut a look at Chuck.

“No. When you sober up, you’ll be sorry. I need you to understand that you’re not welcome here anymore. Don’t call, don’t text, don’t step one foot on my property. Do you understand? I’m done with this, I’m done with you.”

Blurb Blitz ~ Nothing is Predictable by Adalina Mae

This post is part of a virtual book tour organized by Goddess Fish Promotions. Adalina Mae will be awarding a $20 Amazon/BN GC to a randomly drawn winner via rafflecopter during the tour. Click on the tour banner to see the other stops on the tour.

Zara is eight years old, her father, in a drunken rampage, accidentally shoots himself dead.

Her childhood memories leave her struggling with romantic attachments and hinder her from developing healthy relationships.

Seeking answers, She meets a monk for wisdom, and a gypsy for insight.

The journeys Adalina Mae takes us on are interspersed with heartbreaking moments as well as hilarious escapades.

This is life and nothing is predictable. The story keeps you on your toes and offers mysteries to solve.

Why does Zara have recurrent nightmares of her last night with her father?

Why does she struggle with love?

Read an Excerpt:

“Please, try your best, then when you are ready, come to the pavilion and find me. This discussion is not over. I need you to do this first, okay?” She stood up, nodded humbly, and started walking down the hill.

“Don’t forget, drop it like a sack of potatoes, and focus on your breathing!” she called back politely.

She wanted me to grasp the moment, and to focus on cultivating the art of a controlled mind, to increase wisdom and mental awareness. In return, that should give me the ability to focus on my childhood years with controlled thoughts that would no longer affect my emotions, if I learnt to have empathy and to forgive.

“Oh God, how on earth am I going to forgive? Okay, let’s try,” I mumbled to myself.

“Drop it like a sack of potatoes, drop it like a sack of potatoes, sack of potatoes, potatoes. Oh my God, I feel like French fries.” Clearly, meditating about the sack of potatoes wasn’t helping. I tried again, closed my eyes and began to focus on my breathing. Then I took myself back to my childhood years to try to find a way to forgive all that had happened to me. I failed endlessly with that task; a minute of silence seemed like an hour. I kept getting distracted, thinking about French fries and what bills I’d forgotten to pay.

Series: Shifter's Mates (#1)
Length: Novella

I'm the last of the Andreyev tigers. My species is extinct, except for me. Tigers used to be considered royalty. Atlanta is cold and dark now, and no safe haven remains in the once vibrant city. The devastating solar storms a hundred years ago saw to that. There is no prey and no chance for a mate in this poisoned world. Hunger and attrition have no respect for the shifter hierarchy, though. I am empress of a dying empire.

Aliens from a place called Ximera offer safe haven for humans. They want mates, too, and they offer fresh air and green space. It's very tempting, and my tiger is hungry. My misgivings are put to rest when I go to the Exodus Authority and see the face of my mate. He is arresting. Not human, but his otherness is enticing. Even through a vid screen his fathomless brown eyes bore into my soul, and I want him. He is mine. And I don't give a rat's ass about who I have to eat to get him.

Sendra closed her book and peered down at me, her brown eyes sharp. She adjusted the fussy lace collar buttoned to her chin and brushed a stray hair from her blue dress. "Did you enjoy the story?""Yes, but I still prefer Shakespeare."
Chuckling, she patted my head. Her patronizing touch made me feel like a cub, as did my uncomfortable position on the floor at her feet.
"It's important to explore literature, Miss Andreyev. You might find something else you enjoy just as much." Her smile faded as she took the book and put it on the table next to her chair. "We have to talk."
I stood and stretched, my back cracking. "What about?"
"I want you to go to the Exodus Authority."
"I don't need or want a mate." I returned her teacup to the kitchen. It hadn't held tea, of course. It was just filtered and boiled water, but she liked the tiny reminder of life before the storms.
"Have you considered cubs?"
"Why bother?" I left the cup in the sink and went to her bookshelf. "Do you want me to read? I can almost do Gulliver's Travels."
I refused to talk about cubs. That wasn't an option for either of us. Sendra was too old, and I'd never found a male worth a mating bite. Though the few Ximerans I'd seen hadn't been cruel or unappealing, I had no idea if one of them would make a good mate. Living on Earth wasn't easy, but I had no idea what Ximera was like. The Ximerans promised a bountiful, healthy environment, but what if they lied? If things didn't work out with my mate, would they let me stay?
I couldn't come back to Earth. Even if I found someone to take me home, I was slowly starving here.
"Pussy. There will be prey there."
I ignored my tiger's caustic comment as Sendra sighed and shook her head. "I'm going to ground. I want you to give a sample and --"
"No." The book I'd chosen tumbled to the floor, my fingers unable to hold its weight. "I keep you safe here."
Chuckling, she said, "I'm afraid not even the mighty tiger can protect someone from old age, Renata. My jackal and I have seen too much, and she's very tired."
"I said no." I picked up the book and slammed it into place, making the bookcase shudder. "It's a stupid idea. I won't let you do that."
"You can't stop death." She was silent for a moment, then added, "It comes for everyone, sooner or later."
I shivered at her hollow whisper and replied, "Try me."

To Catch A Thief by Nan Dixon

What would you do for your family?
  When Carolina Castillo’s once vivacious mother becomes ill, she gives up her singing dreams and comes home to Savannah. She’d do anything for her Mamรก, even work at Fitzgerald House for the family she should have been part of. She’d even steal.

Carolina’s decisions make perfect sense until she comes up against the immovable rock that is gorgeous FBI agent Sage Cornell. The honorable cop sees the world in black-and-white. He would never understand the difficult choices she’s had to make, the secrets she’s been forced to keep close. And he could never love a woman like her. Or could he?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now for an Excerpt:
He boosted his butt onto the stool, moaning like he was Gramps after being in the saddle for a day.
Two women worked behind the counter drawing beers. He closed his eyes and took a couple of deep breaths.
“Sage?”
His eyes blinked open. “Carolina?”
The napkin slipped out of her fingers and floated to the floor.
“You got the job.” Did that make him feel better or worse since she hadn’t called?
“First day.” Her deep blue eyes had that stunned look, like a white-tailed deer caught in a four-wheeler’s lights at dusk.
“How’s your mother?” He schooled his voice, hoping she couldn’t catch his disappointment.
Her shoulders moved up and down with her sigh. His eyes dropped to her chest. Even in the modest polo, he didn’t need much imagination to remember how she’d pressed against him as they’d kissed.
So why in blazes hadn’t she called?
“They can’t get her seizures under control.” Her fingers crushed the second napkin she pulled for him. “She’s still in the hospital.”
He caught her hand. “I’m sorry.”
“Thanks.” She stared into his eyes.
The noise of the room slipped away. He wanted to make the pain in her deep blue eyes disappear, too.
She shook her head. “Um, what can I get you?”
“What’s on tap?”
“First day.” She winced. “Lots of Southbound.”
“I’ll have their seasonal.” He could have one beer and make it last through dinner.
“I’ll get that.” But she stayed right in front of him.
He smiled. Maybe she hadn’t been blowing him off. Warmth flooded through him.
“Sage?” she asked.
“Yeah?”
“I need my hand back.”
Cripes. He let go and the warmth faded like a leaking balloon. He was an idiot. “Sorry.”
Over her shoulder, she quipped, “I didn’t mind.”
 “Like I said, I’m available for dinner or just a shoulder to cry on.” Preferably in bed, but even he wasn’t crass enough to suggest that to her. He wanted to help any way he could. It was the Cornell way.
Now for the interview with Nan!!
Describe yourself in three words.
Nurturing, Optimistic Author I wish I could use “kind” but I’m working on that!
Cast your book. Tell us who would play the main characters in a movie and why (send pictures!)
I create a Pinterest Board for all my books, so there are pictures of characters and places I’ve saved there. (I also have a recipe Board. Check them out!)
I love this picture of Rodrigo Guirao Diaz and think he would be a great Sage. (Apparently, he’s from Argentina.) If I was casting Carolina, maybe a young Catherine Zeta Jones – but this is the picture I gave my publisher. (She needs to have blue eyes.)
What’s your favorite love scene from a movie?
I think one of my favorite romantic moments is from You’ve Got Mail. When Meg Ryan discovers that it’s Tom Hanks she’s been emailing. Ahhh. “I wanted it to be you!” And one of my all time favorite songs plays in the background—Somewhere Over the Rainbow.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2cjvwTzhG8g
What’s your wildest fantasy?
I have sooooo many. I’ll give you one. I’d love to be young again and compete on The Voice or one of the other singing shows. I miss performing, although I do sing to my grandchildren.
It was so much fun to write Carolina, who’s a singer. I got to live a little through my own character! Now I’m wishing I had her sing Somewhere Over The Rainbow!
If you were to lose one of your senses, which would you rather lose and why?
This is such a hard question. Not sight—how could I write the books inside my head. Not taste—I love to cook. If I lost my hearing, I would never hear my grandkids laugh, or call Nana, or the birds sing. And I’ve watched one of my critique partners struggle with losing her sense of touch through an auto-immune disorder. When she is nearing her next treatment, she sometimes has to use a cane because she can’t feel the bottom of her feet. Sigh….I guess it would have to be smell, but again that would affect the pleasure of eating and cooking. It’s so hard to imagine not enjoying the scents of Christmas; pine, cookies and candles.
What is the naughtiest thing you did as a kid?
We moved into a new neighborhood when I was six. And for the next five or six years, there was new construction around us. We were told never to go in the houses. So of course, my sisters and I would sneak in. Once I stepped on a nail and it went right through my flip-flop. Since we were doing something forbidden, I never told my parents about it. Thank goodness my tetanus shot must have been up to date!
Quickies, cuz sometimes fast and loose is fun!
Boxers or Briefs? Briefs.
Top or Bottom? Top whenever possible.
Pajamas or nude? PJs
Hairy chests or smooth? Hmmm – smooth!
Alpha or Beta? Can I have a combo? Alpha at night, Beta during the day?
Blurb Blitz ~ Chasing Lacey by January Bain
This post is part of a virtual book tour organized by Goddess Fish Promotions. January Bain will be awarding $25.00 via Paypal to a randomly drawn winner via rafflecopter during the tour. Click on the tour banner to see the other stops on the tour.
Think being a PI is all dull divorce cases? Think again.
Lacey Cameron, private investigator and treasure hunter, takes being headstrong and passionate to a whole new level. It takes exactly one morning in a school teaching young minds for her and her identical twin sister to break the whiteboard pointer in half, throw their keys on the teacher’s desk, and heed the seductive call of wide open spaces and awesome adventures.
William James Thornton III, a renaissance man and warrior poet who defended his country in Iraq and Afghanistan, knows he’s got his hands full trying to get Lacey to see him as more than just a friend. He’s ready to settle down, marry the woman of his dreams, and make his mother a happy grandmother. Hell, he’s got enough treasure in his bank account for two lifetimes.
And then things go from normal craziness to extremely dangerous in a heartbeat as hired killers are sent after Will and Lacey to prevent them from discovering the truth. They stumble on such an unexpected twist to the story that no one in their right mind would believe it or have suspected. If Will can get them out of this mess, he vows to lay all his cards on the table with Lacey. Get her to recognize what they can share as a couple. Passion. Love. And a commitment to blending her wild nature with his own—the perfect spicy blend. Even if it looks like it might just be the death of him.
Read an Excerpt
Then everything changed in a split-second.
The reef hushed. Gone silent.
The brilliantly-hued school of fish abandoned her, skipping town like an old western’s inhabitants during a showdown at high noon, racing for the security of the reef and the bleached bones of the El Infante. Even the sea anemones shut their flower-like structures, closed to business, paled to gray to match the death-like scene.
Why?
Lacey’s heart nearly stopped, skipping a full beat and making her chest bone shudder.
A lidless black eye. Unblinking and cold as sin. And with the audacity to materialize right smack dab in front of her face.
Sneaky freakin’ bull shark.
He’d blindsided her. Swimming up silently in the warm waters off the Florida coastline while her attention was diverted elsewhere, digging for treasure. She sucked in a lungful of air, almost biting her mouthpiece in two.
Breath. In and out. Slowly. She didn’t want to die on a beautiful summer day by increasing the air bubbles in her bloodstream. That would be a stupid rookie mistake and she was no rookie.
The opportunist slid past her shoulder, casually wheeling around to look her over. He was playing with her, his head the massive size of the front end of a 55-gallon oil drum. Nine feet long, if he was an inch. The shadow cast leached all the warmth and light from the day.
She looked around frantically for Lily. Spotted her twin fanning the bottom of the white sandy beach, searching for her own treasure. Damn it. Too far away.
She peered at the Spanish galleon. Out of striking range.
She glanced back at the advancing shark now giving an impressive demonstration of his awesome ivories. Each was shaped like an arrowhead, a perfect isosceles triangle, razor sharp, capable of tearing through flesh and bone like a hot knife through butter. Breathe.
He made a second pass. Fast. Too darn fast. A marvel of evolution. Huge yet agile with lightning-quick reflexes. She looked longingly at the surface where the boat bobbed enticingly in the soft blue haze, its white anchor line curving upwards. She’d been caught out in the open. Sneaky and smart. Or maybe just another opportunist hungry for its next meal. Not going to happen, buster.
Okay. Move slowly. Face him. Prepare.
She reached for her spear gun. Where the heck was it? Not that the gun would stop a monster of this size, but it might possibly buy her time to escape. Of course, she’d nixed the communication devices this morning. With the wreck sunk in shallow waters, they’d seemed pointless. Good call, Lacey.
Blurb Blitz ~ Moments of Disarray by Megan Hart
This post is part of a virtual book tour organized by Goddess Fish Promotions. Megan Hart will be awarding a $10 Amazon or Barnes and Noble GC to a randomly drawn winner via rafflecopter during the tour. Click on the tour banner to see the other stops on the tour.
Alex Kennedy knows he's a rascal. A rogue. An arrogant bastard. He wreaked havoc on his best friend's marriage by falling in love with his best friend's wife, and now he's trying to move on. Sex, drugs, booze, boys, girls and toys. He's hell-bent on forgetting the past and running toward a future he doesn't believe he deserves, only to discover the truth in moments of disarray.
Read an Excerpt:
“Hey, man.” Jamie moved as though he meant to hug Alex, but held back at the last second.
Their hands clasped, grasped. Alex tugged. Jamie moved toward him. They hugged, hard, a bro hug for sure, minus the back-slapping. It softened after a few seconds. Jamie buried his face against Alex’s neck.
Alex held him.
Only that, not wanting to let go, not wanting Jamie to let go, either. Dampness on his neck. Jamie’s tears.
Alex clung tighter, a hand stroking over Jamie’s hair, then cupping the back of his neck. He whispered, “don’t, please. Don’t.”
Jamie pulled away to look at him. “I’m sorry, man--”
“Don’t,” Alex said again. “You don’t have to be sorry. Okay?”
“But it’s my fault everything got so messed up,” Jamie insisted. “I should never have asked you to sleep with her —”
Sleep with her. Like that’s all it had been, something base and somehow shameful, something without meaning. It turned Alex’s stomach to think of his time with Anne like that. Meaningless.
“Don’t,” Alex said sharply. Jamie stopped.
Alex couldn’t tell Jamie that he loved her. Jamie had given his permission for it, his blessing, and now he regretted it. But Alex didn’t and never could, because he could never wish away that love. He could pray for it to go away, not that he believed in any kind of god that would grant that request, but he could never wish that he’d never had it.
Jamie kissed him.
“Sir?” She rested her hands on her hips but held onto the card. “Question.”
Ryder froze, then turned around. His eyes widened. “You’re topless.”
“You told me to disrobe.” She tipped her head. “May I pull my hair back?”
“Of course.” He nodded. “I want you to be comfortable.”
“Good.” She turned her attention to removing the rest of her clothes. Another thought occurred to her. “What about shoes? Do you want me in heels? Boots?”
“Bare is fine.” He held out his hand. “Do you have the elastic—or clips—for your hair?”
“Oh!” She offered up the black band.
He stood behind her and gathered her hair at the crown of her head. “Tell me if this hurts.”
“I get off on the pain,” she said. A laugh bubbled in her throat. At least he’d made her feel comfortable. “You’re fine.”
“Good.”
She bit back a moan. She loved having her hair played with. When a man ran his fingers through the long strands and massaged her scalp, the motions sent her into another orbit. She swayed then righted herself. “Thank you, Sir.”
“You’re welcome.” He stood before her again. His gaze slid up and down her body. “What’s the card?”
“That’s how I get into the office. I usually keep it in my bra, but since I don’t have one on…” She hesitated. “Would you keep it for me? On your person? It’s very important. I don’t like to have it out of my sight.”
“Of course.” He tucked the card into his front pocket. “Won’t leave here until you ask for it.”
“Thank you.” Relief washed over her. She clasped her hands behind her and widened her stance a bit. Did she measure up? Chilly air caressed her body. Electricity zapped her from within.
“You’re pierced.” He tapped her nipple. “What other surprises do you have?”
“I guess you’ll have to find out when we play.”
  Get ready for the storm - it's coming June 14th!
From the scorching plains of Persia to the opulent city of Babylon, Ashley and Alexander continue their sensuous and passionate journey through history. Alexander the Great is now king of Persia and Greece – but his reign will be short. Time-travelling Ashley knows when her husband will die. She’s determined to cheat Fate and save Alexander and her children, even if it brings the gates of time crashing down. Following Alexander on a tour of his new kingdom, she plans her moves and bides her time. She must, however, convince Alexander to abandon his crown and his kingdom.
  Excerpt :
In the month of May, the weather took a turn for the worse. Thunderstorms boomed over the city and there were swarms of hungry mosquitoes at night. Alexander had to oversee religious celebrations, some lasting until very late, and one evening he came back with a slight chill. I didn’t think much of it. Usse gave him some hot tea, and we lay down in bed. Plexis was already asleep, lying in his own bed next to ours. The mosquito netting moved slightly in the breeze. It was much cooler than it had been all week; the rain had cleared the air. During the night, Alexander developed a high fever. The next morning he could hardly move, his muscles cramped and he was drenched in sweat. It was malaria. ‘How do you feel now?’ I asked him for the hundredth time that day, after Usse gave him his medicine. Alexander opened one eye and stared at me. It was his blue eye, I noticed. ‘I would feel better if my head stopped hurting,’ he admitted. ‘The fever is making me thirsty. Do you have any water nearby?’ ‘Of course.’ I poured water from the pitcher into his golden cup and held it for him as he drank. The muscles in his throat worked as the water went down. Then he lay back on the bed with a sigh. ‘Do I die of malaria then?’ he asked. He tried to grin, but his mouth trembled suddenly. I leaned down and kissed him on his lips. They were hot and dry despite the cool drink. ‘Are you afraid?’ ‘I thought I wouldn’t be.’ He took a shaky breath and let it out slowly. ‘But that was when I thought the only thing that counted was my kingdom.’ ‘And now?’ I asked him. ‘I’ve had time to think. When you saved Plexis that’s when things began to change for me. I realized something I hadn’t known before. I want to stay with you. I love you, Ashley of the Sacred Sandals. I have told you that twice before. I should have said it more. Now, with this fever making my bones ache, I will tell you a third time. I want to see the babe you carry. I want to grow old surrounded by my loved ones. I no longer want to die. Does that answer your question? Yes, I am afraid.’ ‘Don’t be afraid. I love you too, Alex.’ ‘So why do you cry?’ He reached a hand to my cheek and brushed tears away. ‘Because I never dared hope that you would let go of your dream.’ My tears fell faster now. Teardrops sparkled on his hands like diamonds. ‘It took me long enough to understand that my dream was an empty one without you and Plexis by my side, and that my future was an illusion. Ashley, don’t cry. Please. I feel as if I’ve woken up from a long nightmare. All the battles and bloodshed, all the good men who died following me, they will lie on my conscious for ever. Only you will be able to ease my mind. You have seen the future, so you can tell me that it was not all futile.’ ‘Of course not, Alexander. Nothing you did was futile.’ ‘It feels that way now,’ he said. His eyes were very bright. I frowned at him. He was starting to sound distinctly un-Alexander-like. I put my hand on his forehead and jerked it back with a muffled cry. He was burning up.
Saving His Roar by Megan Slayer
A Sanctuary Story
Book 9
M/M, Anal Sex
Paranormal, Contemporary
From Resplendence Publishing
Ryan ‘Blaze’ Burden knew his life wasn’t perfect. He’s a stripper at Stiff and a shifter, but he can’t tell anyone about his special ability. The popularity of shifters hasn’t come to Stiff or the town of Sugar Ridge, for that matter. Being a shifter is still frowned upon. Ryan knows he doesn’t fit in, but he does have one bright spot in his life—the mystery man who comes to the club and requests Ryan for private dances. The electricity between them is palpable, but if Ryan makes a move, will the hottie reciprocate?
Delaney Sullivan doesn’t come to Stiff for the ambiance. He’s there for one dancer—Blaze. He senses the shifter within the handsome young man. But Delaney works for the enemy—he’s the campaign manager for the mayor of Sugar Ridge. He doesn’t share the mayor’s desire to outlaw shifters because he’s a panther shifter. Can he get Blaze out of the club? To trust him? Or maybe even to love him?
These opposites certainly attract, but can they find the mutual trust to have a future together?
“You want me.”
“Yes, I do.” He needed to get through to Blaze. Not everyone wanted to use him. “I’d rather you didn’t dance for me.”
“Christ.” Blaze left Delaney’s lap. “I knew it. You’re trying to get me to quit.”
Shit. Yes, he wanted Blaze out of the business, but it wasn’t because he wanted to save all of the strippers.
“I’m not quitting. I make good money here, and I can keep on the down low. No taxes. Yeah, fuck you.” Blaze growled. “I can’t get my paperwork. I’m not allowed because I can’t document where I came from.”
“Why?” Every shifter had been given the right to gain a driver’s license, a job and a passport. Where Blaze had come from wasn’t an issue.
“No. I’m not doing it. I can’t. Look, tell management, but I can’t do this. I’ll take the hit.” Blaze shook his head again. “I can’t.”
Delaney took money from his pocket. He’d tucked a note between the bills, wanting Blaze to see it later. He pushed the cash into Blaze’s hand. “You’re a good man.”
He should say more but didn’t know what to do. He left his chair and ducked out of the private room. Embarrassment washed over him as he walked out of the club. Being there was dangerous. If someone recognized the head of the mayor’s campaign at a strip club, Delaney would lose his job. He made his way through the private exit and disappeared through the tunnel to the parking garage.
His panther craved Blaze. The big cat sensed Blaze’s confusion. Yes, the cash was good, but something about Blaze screamed that the shifter wanted to be a decent man. Delaney sighed and climbed behind the wheel of his car. Hopefully, Blaze would read the note and take him seriously. Maybe, there was a chance they could find common ground or even a friendship. A relationship was probably out of the question. Too bad, the cat didn’t care. Delaney wished his panther would settle down. There wouldn’t be any claiming tonight, and the panther would have to wait.
