Monday Morning Armchair Quarterback - WEEK FOUR

Okay, so this week wasn't so good for my Bengals. We lost. But hey, it happens.  Anyway, there were some really great quotes this week. Holy cow.
But first, let me mention the Honorable Mentions...those quotes that were not quite right for last week... or came on Monday night.

"Gotta learn to take something off."
Oh really? What are you taking off? Wink, wink.

"Tactfully hang on enough that he can't get off."
Oh my. That's torture and I'm sure he loves it.

Le sigh.

And now for those quotes this week. Some real zingers in this bunch.

"They like to put him in the slot."
Kinky.

"Follows him into the hole."
OOh! Two in one hole. Nice!

"Deep receivers are short."
So? Short can be good...unless they are giving, too.

"Finds a little crease, he can go in."
Now I realize this doesn't sound right, but that's how they said it. Still, guys like to find a crease to go into. They do.

"Wrapped up and down he goes."
I'd hope so. Always think of your partner.

"The ball's just not coming out quick enough."
Maybe don't be in such a hurry? Maybe. Hurrying can be fun.

And now for that Doozy of the Week:

"What a head's up play - extending it out."
Yes, because a little extension is never bad. Snicker.

Thanks for reading. Hopefully your team won and if they didn't, well, there's always next week.
Stay tuned for my picks from Week Five!

All work and no play makes life boring…unless there's a dollop of whipped cream and a studded paddle involved. Then it's all fun.

Roxy loves her job at the Delight Tonight restaurant, but she longs for more. She’d rather find employment using her accounting skills. Her boss, Sean, has mentioned he’s interested in bringing her on as an accountant. Can she keep her wits about her or will she cave in to the blossoming feelings she has for him?

Sean doesn’t date his staff…ever. Except, Roxy makes him rethink his rules. She’s curvy, sexy and one of the few people he trusts. When he’s given the birthday surprise of his life, he knows he wants Roxy in every way.

Will getting her into his bed translate into a love to last forever, or a lust and chocolate-filled disaster?

And now for that Snog!

Talk about a great surprise. Sean picked up a second berry, then dragged it through the whipped cream. He licked the cream off the crimson strawberry but barely tasted the fruit. He focused his attention on the sight of Roxy, his fantasy girl, covered in food. Elias knew what Sean liked and how to come through in the clinch. Sean trailed his fingers down her leg. She shivered and stuffed her hands under her bottom. He couldn’t have imagined a better display for his birthday supper.
“So pretty.” He sat on the chair, then leaned over her and sucked one of the cherries into his mouth. She closed her eyes and her lips parted farther. The Nyotaimori girls weren’t supposed to react to the patrons—not in a traditional setting. But this, this was not traditional by a long shot. Sean dipped his finger in the whipped cream then drew a heart on her sternum.
Her cheeks flooded with colour and she whimpered.
“Talk to me, Roxy.” He dragged the other cherry in the fluffy white cream, then dangled it over her mouth. “First, take a bite.”
She curled her tongue around the cherry before pulling the fruit from the stem. Her brown eyes glittered and she moaned.
“So sexy.” He hooked his finger in the cake, then smeared frosting on her belly. The contrast of the perky blue frosting and her pale skin turned him on. He swiped his tongue through the sugary concoction, cleaning her up. His cock thickened and the blood rushed through his body. If they were in his bedroom, he’d do so much more with her. So much more.
“Don’t stop,” Roxy panted. She arched her back, offering herself to him. “Please?”
Oh hell yes, he’d take things further. He scooted to the head of the table and cupped her jaw in his hand. The sugary confection on his fingers smudged on her cheek. Time to tell her about their shared past and how much he wanted to give their future a try.
“You’re not wearing your red velvet mask.” He pressed a kiss to her lips, then licked her bottom lip. “It’s sexy as hell, but I like you better without it.”
“You remembered,” she whispered.
“I couldn’t forget.” He kissed her again, this time taking total control of the connection. He tangled their tongues and learnt her taste. When she moaned, he slid one arm behind her neck. “I want to play with you. More than anything we could do at Push and so much hotter.”
Her chest heaved. “Play?” The corner of her mouth curled. “I’d love to be yours for the night.”

Monday Morning Armchair Quarterback - WEEK 3

It's time for one of my favorite days of the week. Monday Morning. I love me some football and I love the commentary even more. The announcers have got to think about what they say sometimes.

This week I'm featuring some Honorable Mentions as well as the quotes of the week. Here are some real winners from Week 2:

"They've got it in their package."

The question is what do they have in there?

"Little in motion."

Is that a who or a what?

~~~
And now.... this week's Quotes of the Week:
"Gotta get what he can with his legs."
Yes, leg work is good.
"Spreads to the right hand side."
As opposed to going to the left. It's a matter of comfort.
"Take a peek at what you've got out there."
Is it that big? Holy cow!
"A tight end and two receivers out to the right."
Man, they love that right side! Sounds like a hot time.
"What a nice block."
Generally blocks aren't nice, but hey, it might be worth it.
And now for the doozy of the week.....
"Pressure has been up inside."
Wow... just wow. I'm speechless.
Thanks for reading the quotes. I love listening for these and watching all those nice buns in tight pants. Stay tuned for my picks from Week Four.
Candlelit Magic by Wendi Zwaduk
Even love witches get the blues.
Havan’s magical potions bring couples together and give them the happily ever after of their dreams. Too bad her spells don’t work for her. In Erie View, the townspeople see nothing more than a witch. All she wants is to find that special man to embrace her quirks and love her. Will she be able to accept the blessings of the Goddesses or lose faith in herself?
Neil doesn’t believe in magic. It’s trickery for television and movies. No one creates a spell for people to fall in love. Hell, he doesn’t even believe in love. After a string of crappy dates and dead-end romances, he’s through with relationships. But a chance meeting at the grocery store changes his mind. Havan’s nothing like he expects—but is the blue haired witch enough to make him give romance another shot?
Available here:
And now for that SNOG!!! Yay!
The witch stood beside the car, the light from the street lamp illuminating her hair. She didn’t look at him, but didn’t move. So tiny and lonely next to the big vehicle. His heart broke. He’d been an ass to her and he needed to make things up to her.
“Havan.” Neil stopped beside her. He tugged her into his arms and stroked her hair. She felt so good in his embrace, perfect. “I’m so sorry, Havan. I’m not even sure what I want to say, but I like you.” He kissed the top of her head and closed his eyes. Her various bracelets and earrings jangled like sweet music in his head. He could hold her forever. “I’m sorry I’m being too pushy and pressing too hard. I’m a thirty-five-year-old construction worker who knows shit about dating, but I’m willing to learn. Give me another chance?”
She smoothed one hand up his chest, resting her palm over his heart. “You’re a good man,” she whispered. “You’re trying too hard and crushing me.”
“Because I like you.” He cupped her jaw in one hand and swiped his thumb over her cheek. Her eyes shone with unshed tears and she licked her bottom lip. He liked her more than he understood.
Neil lowered his mouth to hers and tasted her. She moaned beneath him and gripped his jacket, but didn’t pull away. From his head to his toes, his body vibrated. His skin tingled and when he opened his eyes for just a moment, he could’ve sworn she glowed. Did witches glow when they were turned on? He closed his eyes and tangled his tongue with hers. Something powerful passed between them and he never wanted to let her go.
After less than one date and a chance meeting at the shop, he’d fallen more than a little in love with her. Bullshit. Love didn’t happen that fast. But something had changed. The potion? No, he hadn’t drunk it. Had she spoken magical words? He doubted she’d said anything like that. She didn’t seem to believe in herself enough to try something devious.
Still, he refused to deny his attraction to her. He wanted more dates with her and to explore every inch of her delectable body. Now he had to hope she wanted the same thing from him.
Havan melted into his arms. He made bad jokes, but lots of people insulated themselves with insults against what they didn’t understand. Having a witch in town certainly left her open to being the object of ridicule. But he seemed to be different. Neil, despite all his faults, seemed to care. She clutched the sides of his coat and sighed into his kiss. The fever came over her again and she held him tighter. Venus must’ve smiled down on her or predetermined that she belonged to Neil. Couldn’t have been the potion. Could it?
Havan pulled away from him and stared into Neil’s blue eyes. His cheeks were flushed and his lips parted. “Come home with me.”
She had longed to hear him say those words, but doubt crossed her mind. “Did you take the potion?”
“Nope.”
Question: What is Havan worried Neil took?
Put your answer, along with your name and email in the comments and you are entered to win! Good luck and thanks for stopping!
Monday Morning Armchair Quarterback - WEEK 2
It's Monday and time for the Football Quotes of the Week. I thought since it's a new week, I'd create a shiny, new promo sticker. Like? I do.
So what were the crazy, silly, stupid and downright funny quotes? Read on!
"Firing to the right side."
Ah, that's the sweet spot.
"Sense of urgency."
Sounds like a personal problem.
"Cuts him off."
I bet that pissed him off, too.
"Patient in the pocket."
Aww. He's got finesse.
"Sliding around more."
Must mean someone's juicy!
"They don't have the people for the one to one coverage."
So...make it a menage. The more the merrier.
And now for the ever exciting Doozy of the Week:
It's actually a tie. Yep, a tie.
"He gets stronger with each touch."
Sounds so paranormal.
"The ball's coming out quicker."
Only one? Or both?
Stay tuned for my selections from week three. Sure to please. And check out my Honorable Mentions from this week - the ones that didn't quite make the cut, but were too good to leave out.
For the night. She’d given him an opening. Sean stood, then moved the chair out of the way. Time to show her his dirtiest fantasies. “What is your safe word, beautiful?” He flicked the catch on his watch. This night needed to be special. The thick band of leather slid off his wrist and he tucked the timepiece in his pocket. He never showed off his tat on his inner wrist. For her, he would.
“Corsica.” Her cheeks flushed anew. “And I call you Sir?”
“Yes, pet.” He unbuckled his belt and slid it free of the loops. “Hands, pet.” When she raised her arms over her head, he leaned over her again. “Do you wish to use your safe word?”
“No, Sir.” She smiled and clasped her hands together.
“Good.” He wrapped the belt around her wrists then plucked a strawberry from her navel. “Bite.”
Monday Morning Armchair Quarterback
Or would it be armchair announcer? I like announcer better. Grin.
So here are the rundown from Week One... some real doozys in this group. I wonder if the announcers actually think before they speak. Hmmm...
Enjoy!
"Forward progress should happen."
In the best of situations, yes, it should.
"He's fakin' it! He's fakin' it!"
At least he can't say she is. But I ask...how do you know?
"Stopping the motion too early."
That's a real pain in the butt.
"There you go. You just paid for yourself."
Are we talking football or hookers?
"A few things moving in that pocket."
Like? Can we see?
And the doozy....
"You're substituting a lot."
Well... someone has to.
I hope you like the quotes. Be sure to see the best of week two next Monday.
