Zelus placed his hands on the lid of the box. They couldn’t cover him. They couldn’t sell him. He was real. His heart hammered. This bastard couldn’t steal him or make money from him. No way.

Finally, he had his heart back. If he screamed, they’d know the curse had been broken, or at least they’d have him sent away from his guard. He’d have to bide his time and wait until someone opened the lid. He wasn’t sticking around for Gus to use him. Even if it took magic or begging his father, he’d get out of Gus’s clutches, then he’d find Camden.

He couldn’t believe his luck. He had finally found the person to break the curse, but now he was stuck in a crate, headed for a store’s window display.

What a time to not have his powers!

He’d wait. There wasn’t much else he could do. Zelus closed his eyes. Camden broke the spell once. With another kiss and a declaration of love, he could destroy the curse forever.

All Zelus had to do was hold on.

Lily ~ A Forever Wicked story by @MeganSlayer #PNR #Menageromance #menage #magic #bdsm

2nd Ed. Lily (Forever Wicked) by Megan Slayer

Cover art: Marteeka Karland
Page Count: 44 (Novella)

John and Michael never forgot how much they cared about their sub, Tiger Lily. She's the one for them and they love playing with her. Now they're ready to offer her their collar. No more waiting, they're ready.
But is she?
Tiger Lily wants both her masters, but she's convinced they want a toy, not a full time sub. She decides to test them and makes them prove their devotion to her. It's a risky game of swapped control, but if things work out the way she plans, they'll all end up satisfied.

“Sit.” He turned on his heel. As Tiger Lily dropped to her knees on the floor, Peter shielded Wendy from her gaze. Something clinked and words were whispered between them. Shadows moved across the floor as Wendy left the room.
Moments passed and seemed like hours while Tiger Lily waited. She wished she’d kept her mouth shut and her aggravation to herself.
“Okay.” Footsteps padded on the floor beside her. Peter’s boots came into view and he squatted in front of her. “Michael and John will be here later. You’re going to have to be patient. I understand you’re hurting. They’ve been gone a while and played with another sub the last time they were here. I get it. But what happened is between the three of you. You’re going to have to tell them what you want. Change the contract, write up a new one, I don’t care, but leave me out of it.”
“Sir.” Tiger Lily couldn’t keep the pain out of her voice.
“Yes?”
“I wanted you to choose me.” There. She’d said it. She loved Michael and John, but since they were younger she’d wished Peter would’ve chosen her over Wendy. Tiger Lily needed him. Didn’t she?
“Lily, my heart chose Wendy a long time ago. I’ve done things for her I never thought I’d do. I love Wendy.” He curled his fingers under her chin. “But John and Michael love you. They helped another Dom, yes, but they love you.”
“Then why don’t they tell me?” Tears streaked down her cheeks. She balled her fists. “I have no idea how they feel. I’m a toy to them, not a person.”
“Then ask them where you stand.” Peter stood and folded his arms. Wendy crept into the room and put her arm around Tiger Lily.
“Those two… sometimes you need to be specific with them. They think they know what’s going on. John’s so smart and Michael’s heart is so big, but they miss things. They love you, I’m sure, just as I’m certain you love them.” She brushed Tiger Lily’s hair from her face. “Make them earn your love.”
Sometimes she didn’t care for Wendy very much. Other times, Tiger Lily liked having another sub to get what she was going through. She knew her men, but now she truly understood them. Yes, they’d helped train another sub, but they still cared about her. Now she needed to show them exactly what she wanted, too.
“Thank you, Sir. Thank you, Wendy.” Tiger Lily nodded. She knew exactly what to do -- make her men beg.

Welcome to Okanogan Valley
Dominic let out a long, deep breath as he passed the sign welcoming him back to his hometown.
Despite his inherent instinct to remain solitary, it was time to return home.
Not exactly excited to be back but knowing it was unavoidable, he drew back on the throttle and accelerated down the open road. The tall trees and dense forest rushed by as he pushed on, his back aching some from being on his Honda Shadow for the last three days.
Five years since he’d been here and yet the route was just as familiar as if he’d ridden it yesterday.
The years had gone by slowly, yet also fast. Time hadn’t healed all his wounds from his father’s untimely death, but the twenty-seven-year-old young man Dominic once was had grown into a man. And he’d finally accepted that he was destined to be Alpha of the pride.
Though it was his rightful spot, he needed to ascertain the direction the vulnerable pride had taken, and whether or not his cousin would step aside without qualm.
The motorcycle lurched as he changed gears. Thinking of Kenneth right now was not the best avenue to take. He’d heard what his cousin had been up to recently, and the urge to wrap his hands around the little shit’s throat was strong.
He’d left the pride in Kenneth’s capable hands—so he thought—and all he’d done was take advantage of his position.
Being a class-A asshole did not breed a great leader.
Dominic didn’t know who he was more pissed off at—himself for asking Kenneth to help him out or Kenneth for being a fuck-up. The new awareness that he should have been more diligent of keeping tabs on the pride gnawed at his nerves.
Winding down the empty road, he couldn’t help admiring the beauty of the mountains around him.
The exquisite sight of the large, beautiful hills and valleys crawled into his heart, wrapping around his soul, and reminding him of all he’d left behind. The rich lands belonged to his family, to the pride, and had for many generations.
His father loved mountains, probably even more so than Dominic did. Thanks to years of exploration and adventure, Dominic knew every inch of the lands of his homeland.
His father, Drago, was the first Alpha ever in the pride of panthers. Although they tend to be a solitary animal, his father had rallied that they band together in the fashion of other cats and create a unified pride. In this day and age, his father had campaigned, we are too vulnerable alone. We need to unify and protect our kind from looming extinction.
Glancing down at his watch, he punched the motorcycle faster in order to make it in time. Today was a very important moment for him and his remaining family.
He was home for good. And come hell or high water, he’d make everything right again.
Dominic wanted to guide and counsel the pride in the same reverent manner his father had, but back then he hadn’t been prepared for his father’s death. He’d needed time on his own to grow and learn. To understand the true ways of the world and respect the pride’s new way of life.
Cresting the last hill, the local community hall came into view. Energy surged through his body at seeing the familiar building and surrounding businesses. He hadn’t truly realized how much he’d missed home until now.
Pulling into a parking spot, he shut down his bike and lifted his arms over his head. Stretching to the left and right, his muscles strained and twisted as he worked out the kinks of the last few days. Unbuckling his helmet, he pushed it up and off, and shook out his hair. He should probably consider a haircut soon, being as the curls bounced against his neck and itched over his ears.
He’d pulled off the highways regularly to clean up and catch a few hours of sleep in motels on the way. There hadn’t been much time for him to do a complete clean up so he’d have to do.
His cell phone vibrated in his front pocket. Withdrawing it, he checked the caller ID and immediately answered.
“Hey, everything okay?”
“Yeah,” his contact replied on the other end. “Confirming our meet later tonight. Still a go?”
“Fucking right. My cousin won’t know what hit him. You get me in and I’ll take care of the rest.” He clenched his fist around the handle bar. “I’d like to kill the prick right now.” Rage nearly choked him. Damn Kenneth for everything.
“Rein it in, buddy.”
“I’m trying. Taking every ounce of willpower I have not to bust this shit wide open the minute I walk in there.”
“You can handle this. Gotta run, am staying out of sight. See you later.”
The call ended. Dominic drew in deep breaths and tried to clear his mind. He’d been trained in one of the most lethal professions out there. Adding his panther to the mix, his anger was boiling heavily. But he couldn’t go into the hall guns blazing. Not when there was so much at stake. The element of surprise was on his side.
Unzipping his leather jacket, he stood and lifted his right leg over the bike, stomping his feet on the cement and getting the circulation moving again. Glancing around the quiet, deserted streets, he breathed in the sweet scent of the lands around him. Dust, wheat from the neighboring fields a mile away, the burned coffee that no doubt came from the Lap It Up Diner down the street, and the sugary richness from the Dairy Barn Ice Cream Parlor on the other side.
Cocking his head, two additional scents caught him unaware. One wrapped him with joy and protection, his heart filling with happiness with the knowledge that his mother was nearby. He had only communicated with her through e-mail and when he’d asked her to come out West to see him for a few days. Today was her special day. He hoped she’d be as pleased to see him back home as he was to be here.
The other scent, however, set his nerves on edge and his breathing ragged. The only other woman who filled his heart with both happiness and uneasiness. She was out of his league, had always been, even though there were few places they’d gone over the years where they weren’t together.
She was his childhood friend, confidante, and also the woman he’d wanted to someday spend forever with. They’d kept their relationship under wraps in the past, but Dominic planned to change that as soon as he could.

Nat has always known he’s a beta. No question. He’s drawn to Syd and wants to find out if their existence at the Sanctuary should be more than platonic. When he and Syd are called upon to bring back more lions from the petting zoo, he not only sees Syd’s true potential, but realizes his true feelings for the fellow shifter.

“I’m not happy about this, but I’ll leave you alone. Get your rest, and I’ll check on you later, okay?” Nat trailed his fingers down Syd’s chest. “You worry me.”
“Sorry,” Syd mumbled. He hadn’t meant to be a bother. He waited for the other lion shifter to leave the room then he flopped onto the bed. He unzipped and eased his still rock-hard dick from his jeans. Jacking off wouldn’t make him feel better. Using his dildo wouldn’t work, either. He needed the touch of the man he crushed on to make everything level again. Except, he’d just caused Nat to leave him alone.
Syd wrapped his fingers around his cock and stroked. Just like downstairs, he wouldn’t need much in order to come. He stretched one leg out on the bed and draped the other leg over the side. He planted his foot on the floor.
As he jerked himself off, he pictured Nat with him. Nat knelt on the bed between Syd’s knees. Fire blazed in his eyes and his cheeks were stained red. His blond hair stuck up in odd tangles.
“Love watching you do that,” Nat said in the fantasy. “It’s sexy when you jerk off.”
“Love when you watch me,” Syd murmured. He closed his eyes and arched his back. With one hand on his dick, he used his other hand to stroke his balls. The fever in his veins engulfed him. He couldn’t think straight. The only thing that mattered was finding release. He puffed and grunted.
“I want to see you come. All over me, Syd. Decorate me.” Nat, now nude, perched between Syd’s knees. He plucked his nipple and licked his lips. “Come on.”
Syd nodded.  His breaths turned ragged, and his mind fuzzed. The orgasm built low in his body and spread throughout his groin. He parted his lips. “Nat. Fucking hell, I’m coming.” Something deep within him snapped, and he sagged against the bed. A rope of cum stretched across his belly, staining his shirt. The warmth seeped through to his skin. He panted, and when he opened his eyes, the room spun. Damn.
“Syd?” Nat raced into the bedroom and stopped. “I thought I heard my name…” He didn’t finish his sentence.

Syd tipped his head. He knew Nat was in the room, but anything he wanted to say was gone. He’d been found out. Well, shit.

“Now there’s our girl.”
Kitty’s attention pricked. She knew that voice. Vic. She glanced up at the doorway. Vic and Gale stood watching her.
“Why do you look so sad, hon?” Vic crossed the room first and offered his hand. “The bastard tried something, didn’t he?”
She drank in Vic’s presence. The tight T-shirt clung to his muscled frame. Although he was in his human form, the power of the wolf showed through. His salt-and-pepper hair glimmered in the light. His blue eyes sparkled as he knelt beside her. She loved how he contrasted Gale’s tall frame.
“I’m okay.” She brushed her hair away from her face and allowed him to pull her to her feet. “He was pushy, but I handled it.” She turned over his wrist. “Ah, you’re here for sex and feeding.”
“Are you pleased?” Gale uncrossed his ankles and left the doorway. He didn’t just walk over to her. He stalked across the room. His gray eyes glowed and a lock of his sandy brown hair slipped over his forehead. His clothes hung on his lanky frame. He embodied the strength and sexuality of a vampire, but without the jackass attitude.
“I am.” She slid her hand into his. “I’ve been waiting on you both. It’s not as fun here without you.”
“Oh?” Vic closed the door and engaged the lock. “I’m honored.”
“You should be,” she replied. She shouldn’t have been snappy with them, but after the nasty vampire, her nerves were shot.
“He fed from you.” Gale caressed her arm. “Left big ass puncture wounds, too. Didn’t he bother to close them?”
“II didn’t look.” She glanced at her wrist. Bright red blood dripped down her arm. Well, shit.
Gale scooped her into his arms. “The bastard.” He carried her to the bed, then plunked her onto his lap. In one slick move, he licked the wounds shut and stopped the bleeding. “He had no right to do this to you.”
“It’s my job,” she managed. Her vision blurred a bit. How much blood had the vampire taken?
“Sleep, little one.” Gale stretched her out on the bed, then cuddled beside her.
Vic slipped between her and the wall. “Recharge. We’re not going anywhere.”
“No?” Her eyelids grew heavy and she fought to stay awake. “Don’t let me die.”
“We won’t,” Gale murmured. He tore into his wrist, allowing a rivulet of blood to dribble onto her lips. “Take some of mine and sleep.”

Dylan.
He shouldn’t say anything. Should keep on walking.
“Hi there. Do you come here often?” Hell. Of all the things he could’ve said, Chase picked one of the worst pick-up lines…ever.
Dylan’s eyes narrowed. “Do Iwe’ve met, haven’t we?”
“I’m sorry. I’m horrible at manners sometimes.” Chase offered his hand. “I’m Chase. We met at the Riley party.” He dropped his voice to a whisper. “I’m Mind Bender.”
“Oh!” Dylan’s eyes widened. “I hadn’t recognized you…but I bet that was the point.” His cheeks burned bright red and the color spread down his neck. “Can I say that was a good show, or will I get you into trouble?”
“Won’t get me into trouble. I appreciate the kind words.” Chase nodded to the cart. “I needed to get a few things. Care to walk with me, or are you nearly done?”
“I’m trying to get my shopping done while Nathan’s at swim camp.” Dylan gripped the cart. “The kid is a fish.”
“He’s your only child?” Chase pulled up beside Dylan and walked the rest of the way down the frozen food aisle.
“Just one. My partner and I couldn’t decide on another one.” Dylan’s blush deepened. “It’s a long story.”
“But I bet it’s a good one.” Chase missed being able to converse with other adults. The people at the store were okay, but they weren’t Dylan. The spark from the party hadn’t been in his imagination. He and Dylan seemed to be able to talk quite well.
“The story has its good parts, but there are bad parts, too.” Dylan stopped. “How much more do you have to buy?”
“Truth be told, I’m done.” Chase grinned. “I didn’t need much.”
“If you’re done, do you want to grab a cup of coffee? The little shop allows carts. I’ve only got a few more things to get.” Dylan flexed his fingers on the cart handle. The indentation of a wedding ring was evident, but not deep. Divorced? Split up? Chase wanted to know and yet, he didn’t want to ask.
“I’d like that,” Chase said. “I’ll pay for my things while you finish, then meet you at the coffee shop in, what, ten minutes?”
“Sounds good.”
Paying for his items didn’t take the entire ten minutes. For once, the lines at the store moved quickly. Chase tucked his change into his wallet. He couldn’t remember the last time he’d gotten through the line in less than fifteen minutes. He pushed the cart to the coffee shop. Most of the tables were empty and one of the booths was free. He pushed the cart behind the booth and plopped onto the wooden seat.

His skin prickled. Being around Dylan heightened his senses. What was it about the dad that kept him on the edge? He eased his phone from his pocket and switched the ringer to silent. If anyone needed him that bad, they could wait. As he sat there, the salt shaker began to levitate. Oh fuck. He grabbed the glass container and held it to the table top. No, no, no. His powers weren't allowed to go haywire. They weren't.

He was dead. Had to be. Hagan stared into the darkness surrounding him. He’d been out in the sunshine for too long—nasty business for a vampire. Sunlight ensured death. He shouldn’t have been in the daylight at all. He should’ve stayed in the cave…but he had to keep Ava alive. If she didn’t make it, then no one would know the true extent of what Maslow had done. Someone had to change the tide of the war.

He wondered if she’d made it out. He hadn’t seen her when he went back to the cave. He’d damn near burned to a crisp in the sun. His hands and arms were practically black and peeling. So much for trying to help. But when had he crawled back into the cave? The last he knew, he was still outside in the sunshine.

Hagan groaned. So this is what death felt like…a charred steak left in blackness. It wasn’t as if he was going to head to heaven. Nope. Vampires weren’t on par with angels. He’d be lucky if he received passage to hell. At least there, he’d see his other vampire friends. He hadn’t done a thing to earn him an audience with the Sources.

“Do you know where you are?” a thin male voice asked.

He froze, although he wasn’t sure if movement was possible in the vast vacuum of darkness.

“I’m lost and confused,” he confessed. “Where am I?”

“You’ve been found. Sit,” the male said.

Hagan still wasn’t sure who was talking or where to sit. He glanced around at nothingness. As he looked, the darkness faded and he noticed an outcropping of rocks. The stones arranged almost like a chair. Huh. He’d seen rocks like that before, but only one place and it was while he’d passed through… He’d heard about stones and darkness where the Sources held court, but surely, they weren’t talking to him. Was he in the presence of the oldest beings in the world? The Sources?

“Yes, Vampire. You are where you believe yourself to be.” A light appeared, illuminating a figure clad in a crimson robe. Dust swirled in the light, obscuring the individual’s face.

“Sir.” Hagan dropped to his knees and bowed his head. He was really in the cave of the Sources. No freaking way. The Sources only called the most important Supers into their presence. He wasn’t important.
“Speak the words on your mind,” the male Source said.

“I don’t know why I’m here.” Hagan didn’t look up. “I should be dead. I was in the sunshine. Did I save Ava? Is she my mate? What’s going on with the war?” Good Goddess, he had a lot of word vomit in his head.

“Ah. The vampire of many questions.”

“Will you tell me?” He had no right to be so demanding, but they had told him to speak.

“You’ve been summoned.”

“And saved? Or am I dying?”

“Your journey is not at the end.”

The Source talked in so many stupid riddles. Hagan bit back a growl. “Then what am I to do?”

“Continue on.”

“How?” he blurted. He didn’t even know where he was going or how he was supposed to get there.

“Trust your heart and your calling. The war is still not won and can be lost on good intentions.”

His calling? Lost on good intentions? Why in the name of the Goddess did they have to be so cryptic? “I’m confused.” He couldn’t see much more than the Source’s robe. They could reveal themselves to him. It wasn’t as if he’d live to tell anyone about what he’d seen. He hated not knowing what was going on or seeing the face of the person talking to him.

“As expected, you are confused. Your journey is long and hard. You will return to the Earth. Find your mate and continue on your way. Trust.” The being snapped his fingers. “Go.”

The Source would have to sound like a mystical sci-fi character from the movies—all enigmatic and bizarre.

***
When the rest of the world fails, we’ve got each other.
Always.
Creighton Leigh likes to play by his own rules—until he’s tasked with defending the other Supers. Not a problem. He’s called by the Sources, the mystical beings in charge of the universe, to find his mate. There’s only one problem—he’s convinced he’s already got her in his arms.
Will he be able to embrace the will of the Sources while following his heart?
Vanessa Skye loves her tiger shifter. He’s everything she’s ever wanted in a man. But her will and the will of the Sources isn’t the same. They have other ideas for her man.
Sometimes accepting the future means letting go, but she’s not leaving him without a fight.

“Come here, tiger, and learn your fate,” Creighton mumbled to himself. “You’ve been tasked with defending the Supers,” he continued. He knew his job. He’d been defending his friends as long as he could remember. But meeting with the Sources? He wasn’t sure what they wanted. The Sources, the oldest beings in the universe, had called on him. When the Sources summoned a Super, he or she was to drop everything and show up. He or she would learn their fate and accept what the Sources planned. As far as he was concerned, he knew his fate—protecting his human, Vanessa, from the rogue Hunters.

He stared at the rock walls of the cave of the Sources. Who lived in such a rustic place? Sure, he was a tiger and the animal preferred the outside, but bland black and gray walls with no illumination? Come on. He needed a way to see where he was going, energy...something not here. His shoes clunked on the hard packed earth as he strode to the bit of brightness at the end of the cave. He noticed shadows moving in the faint glow. The Sources? He’d found them? Cool.

The words, I’m here, lingered on his tongue. Shouting to the ancient beings wasn’t bright. He’d wait for them to address him. The closer he got to the light, the slower he moved. A feeling of dread washed over him. This wasn’t going to be some nice, happy meeting. Nope. His tiger groaned. This wasn’t going to be pleasant at all.

“Come closer,” the Leader said. He leaned forward enough for Creighton to see his scraggly white beard, but not his face. The hood obscured the Leader’s face. The being pointed a long, bony finger at Creighton. “Do you know why you are here?"

“I’m here to learn my fate and to thank you for summoning me.” Creighton suppressed a smile. Never let it be said he had no manners. “I’m Defending the Supers, like you’ve asked.” He wondered what exactly the Leader was sitting on. Air? A rock chair? He couldn’t tell. Not knowing added to his growing alarm. Would they whisk him away to fight another part of the war and force him to leave his friends? Crazy thoughts, but then again, he wasn’t sure what to expect.

“You’re a cocky tiger.” The Leader turned over his palm. A flash of light emulated from the center of his hand. “You have been called upon because of the war. It has grown much worse than anticipated and is out of control. You need to be doing more than simply defending.”

Creighton nodded and tuned his thoughts to fight mode. “We cannot tell the rogue Hunters from the main group. The Defenders are trying their best, but without information, we feel we’re all working blind.”

“You are,” another Source said. This one sounded female. “The supernatural races depend on you.”

“Wait.” Creighton disobeyed the cardinal rule of the Sources and stepped closer to the ancient beings. “Me? Our merry band of misfits is a solid unit. You can’t mean that I am the only one who can stop this. You just told Kynan he was the one to end the war. This cannot wholly be on my head.” Good Goddess, he understood tactical maneuvers and reconnaissance, but playing with emotions and understanding the enemy weren’t his strong points.

The Source cackled. “You will grow in numbers.”

“Great.” He liked the sound of the group getting larger. Maybe they’d find some more vampires and a couple more shifters to balance them out. Or they’d be given the opportunity to have children. He wanted to make lots of children with Vanessa. “We can use all the help we can get, but you said to grow in numbers. Is having children right now a good idea?”

“Not so fast, tiger. Do you enjoy being in your human form?”
“Yes, very much.” But he didn’t like the tone change in the Sources. “Why?” More of his surroundings came into view. Black and brown streaked on the walls along with something else—figures. He tipped his head. He should’ve been listening, but the images grabbed his attention. Some of the folk art type figures looked like animals.

“To keep the human form from being locked away forever, you must find your mate. It is time you accepted that part of your fate as well,” the Source said, pulling his attention back to the situation.

“I believe I’ve found her.” Now they were getting somewhere. He’d known all along his fate lay with Vanessa and that she was his true mate. He thought about her in his dreams. Even if she turned him down, he knew where his heart belonged—with his Pasha, Vanessa.

“You believe? Tiger, there is much more to finding a mate besides belief.”
