There’s one woman who grabs his attention every time. The catch? She’s very much out of his league. Can being himself actually snag him the woman of his dreams?

“Some people are great on paper but crap in real life. That’s what Kevin and I were…are.” She stared toward the ground. “Getting engaged to him was my biggest mistake. He’s a parent and I’m a teacher. Not a good mix. I thought we’d be able to overlook it. He couldn’t. I ended up giving ninety percent and he called his ten in. Sad.”
Adam wanted to pry. He wanted to know everything about the relationship and the break-up so that in case he and Melissa actually tried dating, he’d know what not to do. Instead of speaking, he stayed quiet and listened to the sound of their breathing.
“Look, the guy embarrassed the hell out of me and then acted like he was the jilted party, yet I took him back. No more. I don’t mind joshing among friends, but public embarrassment is not cool.” She finally looked up at him. Her eyes shimmered and the blush across her cheeks swept down her neck. “Gee, this is awkward. All this was supposed to make you feel better. I wasn’t supposed to ramble on.”
Adam reached out, hesitant to touch her. She was his friend and sounded like she needed consoling. What the hell. He snagged her in a hug and stroked her hair. “You helped more than you realize.” He stifled a chuckle. “Chasing Tessa was a pipe dream and I’ve been turning the situation over in my mind. I knew she wasn’t interested, but the game was too much fun to stop. She was my mystery girl—kind of.” He loved the way she felt in his embrace, so small and curvy. The more he talked about Tessa, the more he realized he wanted Melissa. “But now I’m confident it’s time to move on. I’m meant for something else besides chasing.”
Melissa rested her head on his shoulder and didn’t pull away from him. “Mystery isn’t always what it’s cracked up to be, but then again, neither is reality.”
This time he did chuckle. “I got a life lesson out of the experience.” Besides, holding Melissa cemented to him the fact that there was way more to life than chasing a mystery.
“What was the lesson? Don’t push people?” She tipped her head and stared up at him.
“Know your limits.” Adam rubbed her back. God knew the longer she lingered in his arms, the more likely he was to embarrass himself, but he didn’t care. He liked the way she cradled against him. “I’m guessing you could use that lesson, too? If Kevin isn’t working out, then don’t be afraid to cut him loose for good. You’ll feel better.” So would he. Melissa deserved better than Kevin, the pompous jerk.
“You’re right.” She still didn’t pull away. “We should really go back in.”
“Probably.” He wanted to kiss her. Was that pushing things too far?
“We should do this after school,” Melissa murmured.
He paused. Do what? Kiss? Hell, yeah, he wanted to kiss her. But he wasn’t sure if she was truly done with her boyfriend. She stared at him and he fought the urge to squirm. She wanted an answer. Adam nodded. “I’m game.” For running and so much more. The electricity between him and Melissa couldn’t be a fluke.
“I’ll hold you to that.” She wriggled from his grasp. A new sparkle lit in her eyes and she smiled again. Melissa poked him hard in the chest. “Catch me if you can.” She spun on her heel and sprinted away from him.
“You bet.” He started after her, his spirit renewed. “You certainly bet.”

Zelus placed his hands on the lid of the box. They couldn’t cover him. They couldn’t sell him. He was real. His heart hammered. This bastard couldn’t steal him or make money from him. No way.

Finally, he had his heart back. If he screamed, they’d know the curse had been broken, or at least they’d have him sent away from his guard. He’d have to bide his time and wait until someone opened the lid. He wasn’t sticking around for Gus to use him. Even if it took magic or begging his father, he’d get out of Gus’s clutches, then he’d find Camden.

He couldn’t believe his luck. He had finally found the person to break the curse, but now he was stuck in a crate, headed for a store’s window display.

What a time to not have his powers!

He’d wait. There wasn’t much else he could do. Zelus closed his eyes. Camden broke the spell once. With another kiss and a declaration of love, he could destroy the curse forever.

All Zelus had to do was hold on.

I want to belong here. Tyrone Zade shook his head. No, he wanted to belong to someone at Club Desire. He wiped his hands on the legs of his leather pants and blew out a long breath. He’d loved coming to the club each of the four times he’d visited. He knew what he liked and what he wanted to do when he got there. No names or major details—just playing. Most of all, no sex.
He’d adhered to his rules for the last four months and kept his visits to once every four weeks, coinciding with when he’d returned to town between games. Talking to anyone about his job wasn’t an option. He wanted to keep his career as the first baseman for the Red Devils separate from his need to be spanked and tied down. Hell, until he’d spoken to Rocke Houseman, he hadn’t felt confident enough to visit the club in the first place. Once he’d realized people would do what he needed and keep quiet, he’d known he had to go to Club Desire.
Ty straightened his shoulders. He’d paid his admittance for tonight’s special event. According to the signs, the club was throwing a Raining Men party. He’d seen the advertisements for the recurring bash a more than once but had never been in town at the right time. Tonight was perfect for a lot of things, especially meeting his Dom outside of a scene.
He stepped into the main playroom and scoped out the situation. People milled around, watching porn movies being projected onto the walls. On the main floor, three couples were in the midst of sex acts. Doms, some he recognized and others he didn’t, orchestrated a few of the scenes along the edge of the space. He snorted. He wasn’t sure why he’d expected to see a few women. Not tonight. Raining Men must’ve been aimed strictly at gay men.
Standing along the edge of the room was an option, but not a good one. If a Dom spotted him and decided he should be part of a scene, Ty would have to comply. He wasn’t collared by anyone—not yet. He wanted his Dom, Leo, to do it, but they hadn’t spent enough time together for such a situation to take place.
Ty toyed with the black band around his wrist. On the baseball field, he knew just what to do. Get out there and play. But in the club, his confidence melted. Rocke had mentioned settling down, but part of Ty wanted to stay free. Why tie himself down to one guy, especially when he wasn’t ready for the entire baseball league to know he was gay? And what if he couldn’t find someone he wanted to settle down with? Why choose someone who might be only “good enough”? Or had he set his standards too high?
God, he’d crawled too far into his own head again. He was here to have fun. If he ran into Leo, good, but right now, he just wanted to dance and let loose for a little while.
Rocke strolled past him and grinned. “Get out there. You paid the hundred bucks. Get your money’s worth.” He headed over to two men at the bar.
Ty sighed. He’d come to the event to hook up with Leo and he’d never get anywhere standing along the edge. What was wrong with joining a group already together? Or finding someone for the night? Because they weren’t Leo. But Leo probably didn’t see him as anything other than another random sub.
He noticed a group of four men gathered on the couch. Glitter billowed around the room, except for where these guys were knotted together.
“Care to dance?” A man with a harness across his chest and a tiny g-string writhed beside Ty. “You want to. Come on before one of the Doms snaps you up.”
Ty didn’t argue as the guy pulled him into the middle of the room. Throbbing techno music nearly blotted out what the man said, but Ty wasn’t paying attention. He’d noticed one of the individuals on the couch—Leo.

“You control everything,” she blurted. Her cheeks reddened, and she bowed her head. “Sorry. But you do.”

“Actually, you do. When we play, you’re the one in control. You say stop or slow, and I follow. I push you, but you tell me when you’re done. I’ll encourage you to stretch your boundaries, but only because I want to make you fly.” He pushed the cooling coffee to the side. “If you say no, then I respect your decision.”

“You expect me to kneel.” She flattened her palms on the table. “Like that last time.”

“I wanted to show off my beautiful woman. If you’d have said no before we left the private area, I would’ve stayed out of the main room.” He leveled his gaze at her. “I expect a partner. You were my best partner.” He hadn’t taught her very well if she thought she was second rate. When they played again—and they would be—he’d show her what he meant.

“You have one. A partner. I saw the demonstration,” she said. “You replaced me.”

“Slow down.” He hadn’t known she was at the club when he’d done the demonstration or he would’ve plucked her from the audience. “Which demo?”

“There’s more than one?”

“I don’t have a permanent sub, so I’m expected to do demonstrations for visitors, for the videos … for people who want to play the voyeur. That’s part of my job at the club.” Not his favorite part and he couldn’t wait to pass the torch to someone else, but he’d tell her that later. She managed to aggravate him like no other. He wanted to stretch her ass across his lap and spank the sass out of her. Then he wanted to kiss her until she collapsed. He wasn’t one to settle down, but she made him think twice. In her own way, she’d broken him.

“I thought we had something.” She turned her cup around. “Now I understand I was just another client.”

“I never said that. Never thought it,” he said. She’d been special from the start. He loved the way she felt in his arms, the way she moaned during a scene, the flicker in her eyes just before she came…

“Then why replace me? Why not tell me how you felt?” she asked. “Or have you come to this realization now that we’re not at the club?”

“First, I didn’t replace you. I don’t have any one sub I play with. The girls in the video are one and done. No sex, just demonstration and go. I haven’t found anyone who can fill your place. I’ve had a couple offers, but they aren’t you.” They shouldn’t be having this conversation in public, but she needed reassurance. “Would you like to have dinner with me tonight?”

“I don’t know,” Austin called. “I think we need a couple of selfie ones.”
She froze. Selfie ones. Yeah, a personal shot would be good. She handed her phone to him without looking back at him. “Go for it.”
“Thank you.”
She didn’t bother to watch. She’d seen him photograph himself plenty of times. He always managed to take the best shots and never had his hair out of place or his eyes funny. When she tried to take selfies, she looked ridiculous.
“I did a couple.” Austin eased up beside her and draped his arm around her shoulders. “Smile.”
When she glanced up, he snapped a photo.
“Why did you do that?” she asked and reached for the phone.
“Because you’re adorable.” He kissed her temple and took another picture. “And I love to irritate you.” He kept her phone and strolled away from her. “Aura is going to love what you’re doing. They’re lucky we’re doing this.”
“Correction. They asked specifically for you. I got to do this because they had to take me.” She tucked the notebook back in her bag and slid the memory card from her camera. “Want me to take off? You’ve probably got a girlfriend dying to spend the night with you.”
Austin groaned and took the memory card from her hands. He led her across the room to the bed and tugged her down beside him. “You make me sound like I can’t keep my dick in my pants.”
She shrugged, not wanting to argue with him. Austin liked to date and loved to tell her about his dates. “You like all the girls you’re with, then you sleep with them and the relationship falls apart. I don’t know if the shine is gone or your attention span is that small, but you can’t commit.”
“You sound like Serena.”
“I’ve been witness to almost all of your relationships since college.” She stood, but he tugged her back onto the bed. “Austin, stop playing with my head, okay?”
“No.” He grabbed the remote and switched on the television. “How can I stop playing with your head? I invited you to stay the night with me in a hotel room. I never said we had to fuck or that I expected something from you. The idea of the photos was your idea—a great one at that—but I’m just going along. Relax and let me give you a great night.”
She scrubbed both hands over her face again and sighed. Being alone with him wasn’t an awful idea. She’d fallen hard for Austin so many times. At least this time she had photos for later. When he moved on and found the woman of his dreams, she’d have a reminder of the man who owned her heart.
“Well?” He met her gaze and grinned. “What do you think?”
“Sure.” What else did she have to lose?

I want a woman who will drive me crazy in every possible way.

If she loved him in return.

Nathan Waterford slammed the door to his navy blue Blazer and strode across the asphalt into Besta Pizza Around. He smoothed his hand over the lump of bills in his pocket and tucked the insulated pizza bag under his arm.

On a steamy Saturday night in July, he’d rather be in bed with the woman of his dreams, not working to earn a dime he didn’t need. His day job as an estate lawyer paid the bills, but being at the pizza shop got him closer to Courteney, the woman in his heart.

Hell, if he played his cards right, his desires might come to fruition. One day...

Crestline, Ohio wasn’t a teeming metropolis, but Nate and his business partner, Arran Mayes aimed to create the best little restaurant in the quiet farming community. The scent of tomatoes and yeast swirled around Nate, making his stomach rumble. When did I eat last?

Behind the bar, Arran stood drying a beer stein. “Well, you got your wish, my friend.”

As he slapped the silver bag onto the polished wooden bar, Nate glanced at the remaining patrons in the dining room. A couple giggled in the corner booth, while a trio of students wolfed down the last few slices of pizza at the round table under the window. Good times. He remembered being so carefree, before he had to become a man and work for a living.

“And you’re talking about what?” Nate shook his head and leaned on the bar rail. “Get me up to speed.”

Arran sighed and plunked the glass onto the towel. “You missed drama involving your girl.”

His wish? His girl?

Confused, Nate stared at his ruddy-haired friend. If his memory served him, Courteney Bennett belonged to no man. Nate had seriously considered making a play for the saucy little romance writer. From her chocolate-coloured tresses and her consuming mocha eyes, down her curvy body to the tips of her toes, he longed to make her his. He itched to grasp her hips while driving into her from behind. She turned him on like no other.

Thank God the bar covered the tent in his jeans.

“Don’t look at me like you’re surprised.” Rolling his eyes, Arran picked up a wide mouth wine goblet. “As you know, Courteney and Byron split two months ago. Well, he came back to—” he hooked his fingers in the air, “—make things right.” Arran snorted. “His version of making things right meant parading his new girlfriend, Amber something-or-another, right under Court’s nose. The jerk.”

What happens in the club, stays in the club...except on Valentine’s Day.

Being single on the dreaded day of love sucks. Ask Morgan. Three years in a row of sucky dates have made her gun-shy. But a night of clubbing and a chance meeting with the man who features in her naughty fantasies just might turn this girl’s thoughts around. Maybe.

The moment he laid eyes on Morgan, Trip knew she was the woman for him. What better day to make his move than Valentine’s Day? He’s about to find out how hard he’ll have to work to get what he wants—her.

Her eyes widened and she jumped back. “Trip. What the hell are you thinking?”Her nipples pebbled under the flimsy fabric of her halter top, and her breaths accentuated her problem. She licked her lips again, giving them a slick sheen. God, he wanted to taste her.“I said we need to talk.” He rested his hands on the now-empty desk top. “I need a partner.”“This is sexual harassment or something.” She rolled her eyes and cocked her hip. Her gigantic, gold, hoop earrings glinted in the lamp light. “Seriously, what are you thinking?”She wanted to know? Fine. Trip stalked around the table, then pinned her between his body and the wall.
“I’m thinking I can’t stand seeing you sashay around my dance club in those tight little shorts and tank tops and not want to bend you over my knee.”Morgan flattened her palms on his chest, but didn’t shove him away. Her lips opened and closed like she wanted to say something, but no sound came out.“Sue me or whatever, but I want you.” He situated his knee between her thighs. Morgan slipped down onto his leg and rubbed. Tiny moans erupted from her throat. Just as he’d suspected—she wanted him as much as he needed her.“We can’t, Trip,” she whispered. “I work for you. We’re friends, and this will go to hell if we screw around.”“Don’t care.” Rational thought left his mind. No matter the cost, he needed her. Now. Trip buried his face against her neck and breathed in the soft, sandalwood scent of her perfume. “Fuck.”Morgan shivered beneath him and tipped her head back.Perfect invitation. “I want you,” he mumbled against her skin. Each taste, each touch made him realize he couldn’t turn back.“Trip.” She threaded her arms around him. “We can’t do this.”His ire rose. “Morgan, I mean it.” He caged her face in his hands and rested his forehead on hers. “I dream about you. Crave you. I’ve listened to you and know you better than you think. This feels crazy to you, doesn’t it?Giving up control and giving me a chance? I’m not just some guy.”“Prove it.”

A Dallas Fire and Rescue Kindle World Story
Contemporary
Novella
M/F, Anal Sex, Toys

Breaking down was never this freeing.

Rory Speedle charms the world and rocks the stage with his band, Disaster Transport. He’s dealt with ex-girlfriends, overzealous fans and letters from a stalker, but nothing has prepared him for his next concert date. When the tour bus catches fire on the outskirts of Dallas, he loses more than just his instruments. His desire to create music is gone and he believes his hope is next. Then he meets Cady Hollister and everything changes. She inspires him and stokes his desire.

Cady knows the handsome rock and roller won’t be in town long. He’s only at her hotel until the band bus is replaced. Still, he makes her feel like a woman again—sexy, desirable and beautiful. He claims he wants her in his life as more than a passing fancy. Can he convince her to five him a try or will his fame keep them from finding the love they both deserve?

Love could be his salvation, if he’s willing to work for the woman he wants.

©Wendi Zwaduk, 2016, All Rights Reserved
Rory stood in front of the door of room four and eased the key into the lock. The knob didn’t turn. Maybe it was sticky. He tried again, but with no luck. He rested his head against the door and sighed. Shit. He yanked the key free. He’d have to go back downstairs.
“There you are.” The woman from the foyer rushed up to him. “Matt gave you the wrong key. Sorry. He mixed up the one for room five with four. No idea why or how, but here you go.” She brushed her hair from her face and eased the new key into the lock. “We could probably get card readers for the doors, but I can’t afford all of that tech right now.” She twisted the knob and opened the door. “There you go.”
“Thanks.” He headed into the room. Everything was white. White walls, white bedding, white desk and lamp, white couch. “It’s very clean in here.”
“Yeah, sorry. My grandmother liked white.” The girl shrugged. “It’s all vintage, so I can’t see getting rid of the furniture. Except the mattress. It’s new.” She massaged her temples. “Sorry. I get ahead of myself and don’t always say the right thing.”
“It’s fine.” He flopped onto the bed and breathed in the clean scent of the detergent. “I could sleep for a week.”
“Put the hang tag on the door if you don’t want to be disturbed. We don’t have food here, but the Chinese restaurant at the north end of the block delivers and the pizza place next door is good, too. We’ve got the pool on the ground floor and a lounge on the second floor. It’s not stocked right now, since I haven’t had guests in a while, but you’re free to go in there. We’ve got the piano and a stage.”
“A piano?” He rolled over and focused on her. In the better light, he saw her more of her features. He sat up. She stood no more than five-five and probably came up to his shoulder at best. The blue scarf he’d seen wasn’t a scarf, but rather a bright blue swath of her hair. Her blue eyes sparkled from behind dark rimmed glasses. He swept his gaze down her body. She wasn’t like any of the women he dated. Where she was short and buxom, his dates tended to be willowy and tall. The jeans hugged her curves and her tank top strained against her breasts. His mouth watered. He wasn’t one to fall in love at first sight, but she captivated him almost as much as the architecture.
“I’m Cady, by the way. If you call down to the desk, you’ll probably get me.”

FIONA

A faerie on the run with a stolen bear. An attraction neither can deny. Magic is the key when these two hearts collide. Fiona Blake has always been the faerie who’s done the right thing. She's avoided trouble and love her entire life. Now, she's unemployed and on the run--with a stolen bear. By using her magic, she's unbalanced the laws of nature and Fiona is in deep scat. She must fix things before she loses her powers and her heart to a sexy stranger who might get her locked up in faerie prison.

Kash Bruin needed a break from his overbearing, matchmaking father. He never imagined he'd wake up in a cage, naked and kidnapped by a crazy, violet-eyed, beautiful woman who believes she's a faerie. Can a spark of magic bring these two creatures from separate world's together? Or will the truth be too much to bear and tear them apart fur-ever?

CORDELIA

What’s a love faerie supposed to do without her magic?

Cordelia likes to play fast and loose with the rules. So she’s made a few mistakes with magic along the way? No one got hurt…right? The blue-haired faerie, prone to the occasional blue language and dirty jokes, loses her right to create magic after one goof-up too many. But she’s about to find redemption in the form of a merman named Henry and a human named Jinx. Fix them up and she’ll get her right to create magic back. There’s only one problem…Liam.

Liam could be the right man to help Cordelia rise above her troubles…but first she’s got to make him believe she exists. Not impossible, right?

She’d have to face the guy some time. She whipped around and collided with a solid wall of male muscle. He smelled like leather and stood at least eight inches taller than her. She splayed her hands on his chest to steady herself, then backed up. “Sorry.”
“I scared you?”
She met his gaze. Holy fuck. He had blue eyes. “Jinx?”“That’s my brother.” He smiled. “Are you okay? You look lost and a little confused.”A little? “You’re fucking serious? You’re not Jinx?” She swept her gaze over him. Christ. She’d cream her shorts at this rate. He had muscle in all the right places, a chiseled jaw, reddish blond hair and blue eyes. When he smiled, his dimple showed. He smelled good and when he spoke, shivers ran the length of her spine. And here she was with a wet tank top and hard nipples. She was so fucked.“I’m serious.” He laughed and offered his hand. “Jinx—er—my brother, Jeremy, tends to be here. He paints. Why are you looking for him? It’s too late for him to paint tonight.”“Oh. Right.” God. She sounded stupid. “I’ll stop talking now.”“You don’t have to.” He slipped her hand into his and tugged her to the closest bench. “Have a seat, catch your breath and let’s talk. You look flustered. You can’t possibly be a hitwoman or out to find him because of a secret baby.”“Why not?” Being a hitwoman wasn’t on her radar, but anything was possible.“Despite your foul mouth, you’re too sweet.” He nodded to the bench. “Sit. Tell me your name and what’s going on.”She plopped onto the bench and willed her chest to cooperate. She pressed her knees together. Christ, the heat in her body would overwhelm her sooner than later. She wanted to touch him again and feel that sizzle. “My name is Cory…Cordelia.” She shook hands with him. Damn. Firm grip. What would it feel like to have those hands around her waist during sex? Probably heaven… Shit. She had to focus. “I’m actually trying to find Jinx or Jeremy, as you called him, for a friend of mine. A mutual friend told me to get them in contact and put in a good word.” “Is either friend a guy?”
“Yeah. One of them is.” She slid her gaze to him. “Why? Didn’t you know he’s gay?”“I knew.”
“Before we go any farther, what’s your name?” Call her nosy, but she wanted to address him properly when she asked him to bed later.“Liam. It’s short for William. William Darling.” He shook her hand again. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Cordelia.”

Aiden watched Aaron leave Matt’s room and a pang of jealousy hit him. He’d just gotten to know Matt and the connection was real. Was Matt that kind of guy who made everyone feel invited? Was he the type to click easily? Aiden scrubbed the back of his hand across his mouth. Man, he was overthinking things. The situation with Matt was new and fragile. Suck it up and stop expecting something so fast. But could he listen to his own advice? He ducked into Matt’s room and hoped for the best.

“Hi.” Matt sat on the edge of the bed. He’d managed to put his jeans on and wrangled a button-down shirt over his shoulders. “I really don’t like this thing.” He waved his arm in the sling. “Motherfucker, that hurts.”

“Which is why you’re not supposed to.” Aiden helped him finish putting the shirt on. “Don’t do that again without help.”

“Then be my help.” He wriggled his eyebrows. “I don’t want to be snarled up in this sling. I like to move.”

“You’ll be able to move before you know it. It gets easier.” He stood beside the bed and folded his arms. He sounded like a damn greeting card. “You’re waiting on the paperwork?”

“Yeah. I’m glad to get rid of the IV. I hate that stuff. You said saline, but it could’ve had something else mixed in.” Matt shook his head. “When you know addicts, you vow not to be like them. I don’t mind a beer every so often, but never pharmaceuticals. If I can’t have control, I’m not doing it.”

“Makes sense, I suppose, but it wasn’t mixed with anything. You like pain but on your terms.” Aiden notched his chin in the air. “Have you ever considered getting implants? The discs or whatever? They give me the heebie-jeebies just thinking about them.”

“Wow. No.” Matt struggled to his feet, wobbled, then sat back down. “I like the art and the pain, but I’m not into dermal anything. I’m also not used to being upright. Wow.” He leveled his gaze at Aiden. “I can’t stay here. I need to get out.”

Aiden recognized the pleading in Matt’s voice and couldn’t argue. He believed the best healing took place when the patient was the most comfortable—and usually at home. “The attendant will be here in a few with a wheelchair.” He paused. “It shouldn’t be much longer.”

“Are you leaving?” Matt asked.

“Yeah, soon. I’m late for a nap.” He didn’t move. He had to deal with his twinge of jealousy concerning Aaron. “I saw your business partner came back. He’ll take you home, right?”

“Yeah.” Matt toyed with the edge of the sling. “Would…would you be interested in stopping by my place? Say it’s to check on me or because we’re friends and we want to talk. I don’t care. Just come by.”

“Aaron isn’t staying with you?” He’d hate to impose.

“He’d love to be, but I told him no.” Matt tipped his head. “What do you think?”

“I think you’re supposed to have someone staying with you for the first twenty-four hours in case you have complications. You should have Aaron sleep over for a precaution.” He hated arguing and encouraging Matt to be with Aaron.

“Then you come over. We’ll talk more and you can watch me all you want. I’d planned on asking you to take me home so we could get to know each other better.” Matt reached for Aiden. “It’s forward and pushy, but it feels right to ask you.”

“You’re ready for this form of play.” He slapped Roddy hard on the ass with his bare hand. He slid his middle finger between Roddy’s ass cheeks. “Who does this belong to?”

“You, Sir,” Roddy answered. He held his reservations in check. Master Vegas had said the word play. Not love, not romance or desire. Just play. He shouldn’t have hinged his hopes on Master Vegas wanting him in a romantic way.

“You belong to me. Say it again.” Master Vegas punctuated his words with flat-handed spanks on Roddy’s butt. He tapped Roddy’s asshole on the last word.

“You, Sir.” He flexed his hole, ready to allow Master Vegas into his body. The toys and masturbation weren’t enough. He needed a real man.

“Good, pet.” Master Vegas dribbled chilly lube down the crack of Roddy’s butt. He continued tapping Roddy’s hole. “How much do you want me here?”

“I crave you, Sir.” At least he’d been honest. He pressed his face into the warm leather. “Please, Sir? Fuck me.” He wanted his Sir in his ass right now. Needed him. Couldn’t wait another minute.

“You expect a lot.” Master Vegas caressed his middle finger over Roddy’s hole, then eased inside. He pushed past the tight ring of muscle until he buried himself two knuckles deep.

Holy shit. Roddy wanted to thrust. Every instinct told him to ride Master Vegas’ middle finger. Instead, he held back. He wasn’t in control.

“Good, pet. You’re withholding for me. Pleasing me.”

“I love the way you remember and that nice package you’ve got going on.” Anders brushed his nose along Galen’s. He groaned. “According to Kynan and everything I’ve been able to find about us coming to full power, we’re able to walk in the sunshine. I’ve told you that a hundred times. But I don’t want to think about sunshine right now.”
Full power. He stuffed his hands into Ander’s back pockets. Yeah, he and Anders had to get horizontal and soon. “I still don’t believe it. Us in the summer sun.”
“I know.” Anders’s deep voice resonated in Galen’s brain. Anders smoothed his palm along Galen’s chest. “Do you want to give going outside a shot? The sun should set in an hour, so it’s not full-tilt sunshine. Or do you want to stay inside, forget about chancing burning and have scorching sex instead?”
Galen hesitated. Every cell in his body screamed for him to go outside…but sex… He trusted Anders and knew Anders wouldn’t do anything to hurt him, but they were damn vampires. They could die if they stood in the sun. If nothing else, he’d burn…then die. He didn’t want to lose his undead life or his relationship with Anders. If he chanced going outside now…both could happen.
“Gale?” Anders asked. “Hey. I don’t care what we do. I’m perfectly happy to get naked. I’d rather be naked with you.”
Fuck…yeah. But the desire to expand his horizons and boundaries was too strong. “I want to go outside.” He met Anders’s gaze. “I want to walk out there, exist, and fuck.” He pressed his lips together. Goddess. He should’ve kept quiet. Sex outside. Only the shifters did that.
Anders tipped his head, then grinned. “Why didn’t you say so?”
Because he hadn’t realized what he’d wanted until he’d allowed himself to blurt everything out.
“Let’s go.” Anders released him long enough to move away from Galen, then grabbed his hand. “Are you scared?”
“Shitless.” He followed Anders down to the first floor of the mansion, then through the kitchen to the back patio. The sunlight stretched across the grass. The brilliant array of colors nearly blinded Galen. He’d forgotten how pretty the blue of the sky could be. Then there were the rainbows of flowers in the beds. Emerald-green grass stretched out on both sides of the path. He glanced over at Anders, then forced himself to move forward. If he kept walking, he wouldn’t wuss out.
The heat of the mid-summer day wrapped around him. For the first time since recovering from the zombie virus, he felt warm. He stretched his hand out into the path of the sunlight and gritted his teeth. Either he’d fry or he’d be fine. The sunshine illuminated his pale skin, but nothing scorched. No smoke or fire. He met Anders gaze, then charged forward, fully into the sunshine.

Even if Matt saw a future for him and Jacen, the odds aren’t in their favor. But he can hope, right? He’s been head over heels in love with Jacen since the moment they met.

Matt busied himself with straightening the counter space and trying not to watch Jacen. Fuck. How could he not? The man featured in his dreams and had become his favorite spank bank material. He swept his gaze over Jacen. The denim shorts hugged his hips and accentuated the strength in his legs. Jacen rubbed the back of his neck with his fingers and flexed his upper body.
Jesus. Was Jacen trying to turn him on? If so, he’d accomplished his mission. Matt plopped onto the stool and pressed his knees together. Blood rushed to his cock and his mouth watered. Just a few touches. Kisses. He didn’t want much. Really.
“Mother fucker.” Jacen whipped around and held his phone in a white-knuckled grasp as he strode back to the desk. “He’s a piece of shit. Where are those peas?”
Matt offered up the bag. “Whoever it is, I hope you lit into him.” He shut the laptop down, then moved the device to the lower portion of the counter. “Better pick up your key before you forget.” He slid the card across to Jacen. “Have a good night…well, a better one than you’ve had so far.”
“Huh?” Jacen glared at Matt and plunked the bag back onto his bruise. “Are you here all night? I thought Cady hired on people to work the desk so you and her weren’t stuck.”
“She did, but this is my night. I have to earn my keep somehow.” He grinned to hide his displeasure. “I can’t feed my music and running habits without some source of income.”
Jacen tucked his phone into his pocket and lingered at the counter. “Want some company? I came here to work on music, yeah, but that wasn’t the only reason.” He offered up the bag. “I’ve melted this.”
“I’ll stick it back in the freezer. No problem.” He gripped the melting frozen food. “Stick around a moment in case anyone comes in and I’ll put it back.” He left Jacen alone long enough to put the peas in the fridge. He’d probably make them for lunch the next day instead of wasting them. When he returned, Jacen had rounded the counter.
“All good?” Jacen asked.
“I’ve got lunch for tomorrow.” He tensed. “Thanks for holding down the fort.” He expected Jacen to leave, but instead, he crept closer to Matt.
“I didn’t just return for Rory and the music. I came here for you, too.”
“Me?” He frowned. “What?” He had to be hearing Jacen wrong. No way Jacen meant that.
“Uh, yeah. You.”
