St Patrick's Love and Things I Forget To Do

I'm supposed to write about something having to do with St. Patrick's day. Well, when I was a kid, the big thing - and I'm sure this is big everywhere there are kids wanting to pinch - was to pinch the poor kid who forgot to wear green. I tended to forget that it was St. Patty's day and would inevitably forget to wear green. Doesn't mean I don't like the day or wearing green, but I'm telling you if I don't write it down, I won't remember. What about you? Do you remember or do you forget?

Now don't forget to comment about the post and leave your email. I'll be drawing a random winner who will receive one title of their choice from my back list. So yeah, you might want to comment. :-) But make sure the comment is something relevant to the post. Dialogue is fun!

No go comment and continue following the hop!

Check out Carrie-Ann Ryan's blog to see the rest of the stops as well.

Squee! Blog Hopping! Woohoo! Happy St. Paddy’s Day!
I love these hops. What a great way to discover new authors/blogs and visit with old friends. Got a lot of stops to make so I better get hopping. :-}
I'm like you. I have to write it down to remember ANYTHING! But I do were green on St. Paddy's day.
Thanks for being part of the hop and for the chance to win such a fantastic prize! <^_^>

I sometimes remember, and sometimes forget. What I would do on the days I forgot is take a green highlighter and draw a shamrock on my hand...just to avoid the pinch. When I was a kid I might have been prone to lying and saying I was wearing green underewear o.o

Thanks for the chance to win :-)

I obviously forgot because I'm wearing my only green shirt today. I guess I'll just have to not sweat and recycle it tomorrow. Don't want any pinches!

I hated being pinched...the kids learned not to pinch me awfully fast though because I didn't care if they wore green ;) BUT, I have done relatively well since high school and am determined to not let my toddler be the one pinched when she hits school age so we are beginning the habit early of green on the 17th.

Thanks for the post. I too would forget to wear green - didn't ever have a lot of green clothes so would look for a ribbon or something for my hair. What I hate now is that even as an adult some strangers still want to pinch me because I might not have green on. Ughh, it never ends...

Thanks for the giveaway!

We don't celebrate St. Patric Day in my country, so I don't have any memories to share. When I see the TV relations from other countries there are many drinking and singing people wearing funny hats. I think for most it's just an excuse to get drunk. However I like the other symbol of Ireland - clover.
A four-leaf clover brings luck.

Love it!!!St. Patrick's Day is a national holiday at my house. I even stayed home to start cooking. We will be setting up for the parade by 7 am tomorrow morning. When that is done we all go to the in-laws and eat, eat, eat. Play games with the kids. Then the Pub Crawl starts. It is a lot like Christmas. Some member exactly exchange gifts!

There was always the ones who forgot to wear green. Generally my teachers would always have some sort of shamrock to pin to their shirt so that they would not be a temptation to pinch, lol.

I would sometimes forget, but would look for anything green to hold on to like a leaf which in most cases didn't work because I would still get pinched.

When I first started dressing myself as a child I never remembered to wear green, after getting pinched a couple of dozen times each year I decided in middle school to start leaving myself post-it notes to wear green, lol.

I don't do anything special. I will wear green if I remember. Of course I don't usually remember. I don't ever remember being pinched for not wearing green but I will have to remember that in the future. :)

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
It's funny, but my husband is the one who told me about the pinching. I don't remember that as a kid. I actually do not forget the holiday, even though I am not Irish, because it is my sister's birthday! I have friends that remind me also. :)
Thank you for the giveaway and HOP!

This is the first time I ever heard about the pinching (guess that's what happens when you're a Polish kid growing up it an Italian neighborhood!)

As far as memory -- if it's not on a Post It Note, I forget!

We've never celebrated this day in my country. However, we have celebrated "Arbour Day" in which we were required to waer green in support of the environment and plant life. We were never pinched for not doing so, though:)

Enjoy your day!
