WIP Wednesday!!

trebuchet / 123RF Stock Photo

So what's happening on the WIP front...not much. Okay, that's not totally the truth. I mean, things are happening.

Rhiannon from Savin' Me got her story told. I had no idea she wanted a story and then she started talking. Grin. Love when that happens.

Arran and Mindy have started talking again, too. Apparently, and yes, Toni, this is for you, there's trouble in paradise, but not the trouble one might think. Grin. I won't disclose a lot, but let's just say there's jealousy there. I love torturing my characters.

Summer from Please Remember Me has come back. I had a lot of people asking me about Jude and Drew from When You're With Me and that got Summer talking. I'm excited. Now if Maggie would start talking, I'd be in like Flynn....

Oh well, back to the bat cave!

Friday Flirts ~ When You're With Me

This week for the Firday Flirt, I thought I'd share a quick scene from my upcoming novel, When You're With Me. My novel length works have all followed the little town of Crawford, Ohio, or at least the men and women of Crawford. Right Where I Need to Be started the party off right with Logan, the movie star, and Cass, the down home writer in Crawford. Please Remember Me showed love can crop up at any time or place with Jayden, I-used-to-be-famous, and Sheriff Marlon - down home cop extraordinaire. Over My Head is a little side story that sets the tone for When You're With Me. I couldn't not tell Randy and Astra's story, even if they aren't really from Crawford. How Jude and Drew tie into all of this, well, you'll have to read and find out. So here's the flirt!

A topless dancer plus a cynical cop doesn’t equal a lifetime love...or does it?

There’s more to Jude Nelson than just a sequined thong. She has big dreams of becoming an artist. There’s one tiny wrinkle in her plan-she’ll never forget the bloody image of her friend’s battered body in the dumpster.

Who can a nude dancer turn to for help? Certainly not a hardened undercover cop...

Detective Drew Alwyn is on the case to find out who murdered his good friend and fellow officer. But the moment he sees Jude, he can’t look away. He has to decide which is more important-his dedication to his job or the girl who holds his bruised and battered heart.

Will these two opposites come together to solve the case or will their desire consume them?

Reader Advisory: This story contains scenes of bondage, mentions of drug use by secondary characters, silk, sequins and art supplies used in foreplay, voyeurism and a little spanking for good measure.

And now for the Flirt!!

He continued to stare—this girl was someone rare. He needed to get over his damned shyness and meet her. She was solely responsible for his instant boner. Hell, he’d nearly got off just looking at her. What ripped right through to his soul were her blue eyes. There was a piercing, examining quality in them that resonated deep into his being and sent a jolt of heat straight to his cock. His hands twitched with the overwhelming need to touch and protect her. What would her lips taste like? Would she be as soft as she looked?

Totally out of his withdrawn character, Ramon stopped his waitress and slipped her a five. “I want a private dance.”

The waitress bent down, slid the money into her bodice, and spoke in his ear. “I’ll send a note to the bar. Harry sets it up from there. Who’s the lucky girl?”

Ramon looked directly at the stage and nodded. “Her.” A wicked grin curled his lips. She caught his fancy, twisted it upside down, and turned it into desire with just one look. Everyone else in the room evaporated. I need to meet her. She looks like she could take my mind off my troubles for a little while…

The Cover Faery Dropped By!

The cover faery stopped in and left me a present. When You're With Me is part of the loose Crawford Boys series. Characters from Right and Please Remember Me show up. You can read it separately, but yeah, Logan and Marlon make appearances. So what's When You're With Me about? Glad you asked!
