Sunday Snoggin' ~ Love Remembers

Time for a scorching hot kiss! Thanks to Blisse Kiss for having the Sunday Snogs. Love them! Today is the Blisse Kiss by the Sea event and even though I don't have a sea faring story, or even one set BY the sea but that's okay. I love posting the snogs and couldn't skip a week! Grin. So which snog am I featuring today? Glad you asked.

I'm featuring Love Remembers. It's not a sea story, but the heroine does cross a stream to get to the hero. Close enough. Check out the other snogs, but read mine first.

available here!

Now about that snog!

“I can love whomever I choose.”

Love? Had she heard him correctly…again? She sucked in a ragged breath. “Gregorius…”

“You are a freed woman in my home.” He rubbed his nose along her cheek. “Yes, the laws state you must be a citizen in order for us to marry, but rules are meant to be broken.”

More tears pricked behind her eyes. “Please do not offer me things I cannot have.”

All her dreams seemed possible…and yet, once Visius learned of her whereabouts, nothing good would come of his actions. “You do not want me as a pallake.”

He placed a kiss to the very corner of her mouth, teasing her. “Ah, your spark, your fire should wound me. Instead, it draws me in.” Taking her hand in his, he nipped each finger then laved his tongue over the soft bites. “Time be damned, I find myself addicted to you all over again, Aspasia.” His kisses trailed down her bare arm. “You have filled my dreams and my fantasies since the moment I saw you in your father’s stall.” His erection stabbed against her thigh. “You may have all of me. I am yours.”

He tilted her chin to crush his mouth over hers. She mewled, wanting him everywhere.

Sunday Snoggin' with Love Remembers

I love a snog where there's rekindled love. Grin. Love Remembers features just such a Sunday Snog. So here's a little bit about the book, where you can get a copy and well, the SNOG!! YAY!

Available at Total-E-Bound.

And here is the snog, because you know you want it!

“I nearly went mad without you.” Gregorius unhooked the pin holding her chiton in place and kissed her bare shoulder. “Atticus knew about you and me. He helped search for the past twelve years to find you. He followed the gossip at the market. I owe him dearly.”

“Gregorius, your brother will see us. And what about Marellus?” She clutched his biceps. The idea that they might be caught bothered her and sent her desires up another notch.

“I sent Marellus to the fountain with Claudius, her favourite guard. Darius cannot hear us in the house. But I do not care about them.” He slid her hair off her neck and placed nips along the sensitive skin. “I care about the woman in my arms.” A groan rumbled low in his throat. “You serviced me at the Symposium, but you are also the only one to gain my love and trust. You knew me as a child and a man. My beloved, you are in my soul.”

“I cannot be your wife.” She wanted to be. Goddess, she wanted every last bit of him as her own, but the laws of Athens dictated that he must marry the daughter of a citizen, not a lowly daughter of a metic—a tradesman.

“I will take no other.” Once he had tugged his tunic up over his head and tossed it on the seat of the bench, he pulled her higher on his thighs. “Let me show you.”

Her folds rubbed his length, sending shivers through her body. “I want you so much, but I am afraid.”

“Nothing to fear, my love. You have me.” He cupped her face and feathered a kiss onto her lips.

Monday Moans ~ Love Remembers

I've got lots going on today. Not only am I visiting a couple places, but it's release day. Talk about a great day!

Where am I?

Manic Minute Monday over at Maria-Claire Payne's site. I've got a great picture of Greek art that will certainly turn up the heat! Check it out!

I'm also hanging out with my good friend Virg Nelson. Yup. Found another saucy picture of Greek sculpture for the post. You'll want to check it out!

Why am I talking about Greek Art? What does Greek Art, erotic art at that, have to do with my newest release? Glad you asked! My new release, Love Remembers, takes place in Ancient Greece. Read on for more as well as the Monday Moan!!

If he wants to keep Aspasia once he finds her, Gregorius will need to prove that his Love Remembers.

A veteran of the war in Koroneia, Gregorius wants only one woman for his bed. She made his heart sing the moment he first saw her in the markets, and for the past seven years he’s hunted far and wide for her. Once he finds her, he’ll prove his love never forgot her.

Aspasia isn’t the mirthful girl from the markets any longer. Circumstances beyond her control forced her into service to Gregorius’ bitterest enemy. When she at last finds herself in Gregorius’ arms, can she let go of the past in order to have the future she deserves? Only if love remembers...

Reader Advisory: This book contains a hero bent on finding his first love and a heroine determined to let him have his wicked way...in the garden, on the benches, in the olive grove...

Here's a taste of Love Remembers!

"I will have you chained to my bed for the rest of your days!"

Revulsion and disgust surged through her veins. Aspasia bit back the nasty response on her tongue. No need to provoke her master.

A shout resonated from another chamber in the sprawling home.

"I will be back for you in a moment." The master gestured to the guard with the flip of his hand. "You may play with her until I return."

Aspasia locked gazes with her guard, Atticus. He folded his thick, muscle-corded arms. His expression remained blank. When the master’s footsteps no longer echoed on the stone floor, Atticus moved into action and wrapped his meaty fingers around her arm. "Get into the hallway."

Frightened by his brusque tone, Aspasia complied. She gathered her torn chiton and covered her nudity. Never one to act against wishes, she prayed to whichever God listened to make the sexual encounter quick and painless. Being with Visius humiliated her to her core, but, as a slave, her complicity was demanded or she risked the whip…again.

"Come on. Before he returns." Atticus’ gruff voice sent chills down her spine. "He deserves the wrath of Zeus for his actions."

Her heart hammered within her chest. Atticus rarely spoke. Could he be acting against orders? Ice slid through her veins. Did he want her as his own slave? She bit back a sob. Too many times the people she trusted used her kindness as leverage to gain favour with Visius. Though not conventionally handsome—with hooded eyes, a square jaw, and a body honed for battle—she liked Atticus. Had they met outside Visius’ gate, she might have loved him.

At the end of the corridor, Atticus opened a small wooden door. Moonlight streamed across the tiled floor. "Go."

For the first time in months, she found her voice. "Where? I have nowhere to go."

A sparkle twinkled in his dark eyes for a moment. The corner of his mouth kinked into a faint smile. "Head west until you see a creek. Do not stop. Just run. You will be safe."

Knowing she had no alternative, she kissed his massive hand then surged through the doorway. The cool night air prickled her skin, but she refused to stop. At the entry gates, she pushed any thoughts of her captor and his strict rules from her mind. Gravel crunched under her bare feet, but she ignored the pain. Freedom numbed the pricks and stabs from the sharp rocks.

Friday Flirts ~ Love Remembers!

I thought for the Flirt this week, I'd post a snippet from my upcoming short story, Love Remembers. It's a historical set in Ancient Greece and well, since I love the Ancients especially when they are behaving badly... here's a taste!

Freedom numbed the pricks and stabs from the sharp rocks.
Would she see Atticus again?
Would she find Gregorius?
Dipping her head to keep from getting caught in the olive tree branches, she pushed the memory of her first love from her mind. He couldn’t possibly still think of her. Gregorius, the second son of Senator Tallus, had more appropriate women to devote his time to. Her heart clenched within her chest. No matter how hard she tried to forget, the taste of Gregorius’ kiss lingered, even seven years on.
Her legs ached. Her spirits sank. Where was the creek? Her eyes had adjusted to the dim light, aiding her in the escape. Would Visius come looking for her? He was probably sitting on his horse trying to decide which way she had run…if he wasn’t watching with laughter on his lips…
No. She refused to be his pleasure slave any longer.
With a burst of speed, she continued on. The sound of running water met her ears—a melodic sound, like plucking the strings of a lyre. The creek. Tears burned behind her eyelids. The creek.
Her joy turned to fleeting frustration as she tripped on something. A bare tree root? A trap?
Aspasia toppled to the ground and the last thing she saw was the dark figure in the distance. Please, Gods, let it not be Visius.

Friday Flirts!

I got a fantastic cover this week for Somewhere I Belong, out soon from Liquid Silver Books. I'm stoked because I think the cover says exactly what I wanted to convey about the story. Here's the blurb:

Sullavan Tanner walked away from Jarvis, Ohio, afraid to give his heart to the woman in his heart. He lived the rock and roll lifestyle, but never quite made it to the big time. Fifteen years later, he’s back and ready to claim what’s his—if she’ll accept his help.

Marley Lockwood’s done asking for help. The family farm is more than she can handle, but if she can survive a cancer scare, the loss of her parents, the abandonment by her first love, and a messy divorce, she can handle anything.

Until Sully shows up.

Although she’s not interested in rekindling the love affair, she’s not above accepting Sully’s hands on the farm. What’s the worst that could happen? They get the farm out of the red and into the black? That’s her plan. They actually fall in love? The past says it won’t work, so she’s not hedging her bets.

Too bad Sully’s not giving up this time.

Cool, eh? I'm happy.

I also sold my Greek historical to Total-E-Bound. This book isn't a beacon that I'm going to change to writing historicals. I have an idea for the brother in the story, but this is a chance to try my hand at something new. And yes, I did a LOT of research. What's the title? Love Remembers.

I also contracted a story for the Heart Attack Collection at Total-E-Bound. A while back, like 5 years ago, and yes, Ang, it's what you critted so many times, I wrote a story about a stripper. The original story was called No Strings, but that's been used a LOT. So I reworked the story and gave it a shiny new title, When You're With Me (out in March). But there's a story that happens prior to it that when I was asked to participate in the HA Collection, I had to write. So the HA Collection novella, is entitled, Over My Head and it comes out in February.

So yeah, lots of Snoopy dancing. I'm working on a couple other WIPs and am trying to get the next racing story written. The goal is to get Gypsy and Felicity's stories (the vampire novella and the ghost novella) done so they can possibly come out around Halloween of '12. Fingers crossed.

Back on Monday and This Week...Jaxx Steele stops by to talk about his new work, Care Package. Come on back for that!

Flirty Friday

It's Flirty Friday. I'm sitting and watching the same Queen documentary again. Yes, again. Hey, that Freddie Mercury is charismatic. And even with the moustache, he can really work the mini skirt.

Ok, so flirts...

I got my vid for Ever Fallen In Love yesterday and yes, I love it.

Cool, huh? Goddess Fish does the best work. Lurve them. Really, I do. Want to know more about Ever Fallen In Love? Here's the blurb:

Tucker lost the love of his life once, but this time, he’s not taking no for an answer.

Once a driver, always a driver...

Racing consumes Tucker Poston’s life. Until he sees her again. Megan Rodney. She’s the one person to come between him and his ride. She’s the only woman to understand him. The only woman he’s ever loved. Circumstances tore their love apart. Now he’s determined to show her the contents of his soul, even if it means losing his heart.

Being a driver doesn’t warm his lonely nights. Too bad she’s not interested.

Megan’s not about to fall for his smooth lines and slick image. She’s got a good life as a team owner for a stock car team. Still, memories of their love affair burn bright in her mind. What’s a girl to do when the man of her dreams, the man who pushed her away, wants a second chance at forever?

Contains a little spanking, anal play, and domination shared between former lovers, but no one’s complaining. For good measure, there’s the sizzling use of a Camaro hood for outdoor pleasure.

Available now for preorder and releases on August 15th!!!

So what else is on the docket?

I've been working with Megan to get her most recent sub done. It went out last night so fingers crossed.

I've got the stripper story, When You're With Me, almost done. One more scene to finish. The rest has been by CP so....we'll see.

I'm waiting to hear from CP on the Greek I gave a second chance to. I hope it's in decent shape.

Megan got a challenge, so I'm going to help crit and work with her to get that one done.

And I will look at Gypsy's story...wander past, think about it, look at it again, and probably keep strolling...I am so bad.

I'm still on the fence about my ghost story. I ended with a cliff hanger of sorts. It doesn't seem to have found it's niche and I am wondering if I should continue the two book series. Thoughts?

Let me know. I am listening.

Friday Flirts....on Saturday!!!

Ok, so the TEB sale is over...I know, I'm sad, too. I mean, who doesn't want to get stuff on sale? Anyway, I hope you got in on the fun and nabbed a few books you didn't have otherwise. I should've written a Friday Flirt yesterday, but I got a little excited. I mean, it was a sale!

So...what's happening...

I've gone back and revisited a few of my older WIPs. Yep, I've got some stories that are literally sitting on the hard drive...sitting. So, I happened to be talking to my CP about them. One of them said, you wrote a stripper story...why haven't I seen it? and the other CP says, yeah, and why am I not critting it? It's done. It should not be sitting. They both had a point. I mean, stripper is a side story to the Right and PRM books. 9k more and it'll be the same length. I sent it to CP. She gave me some food for thought and I'm working on that. In case you're wondering, Stripper is tentatively titled When You're With Me and is about Detective Drew Alwyn and Jude Nelson. I've been kicking it around for over three years, so yeah, it's been around a while.

The other WIP that I got back out is one that's from Ancient Greece. Now, this one I snipped a bit out and used for a short on Whipped Cream. It's titled Addicted. Will I keep that title? Dunno. But it's a nice and short story with lots of heat. We'll see what the CP thinks of that one. So far I've been told it grabbed her from page one. Shrugs.

I've got news to share but I'll wait til Monday since it's Saturday and I want to be certain before I share.

Still waiting to hear about a couple of subs, so we'll keep our fingers crossed.

Happy Saturday, stay cool, since it's blazing hot here in oHIo, and happy writing.

So he's done....

He? He who?

OH, you want to know which he I refer to. Hee hee.

I'm talking about my Greek. Yes, I finished the first draft of his story. It was sorta hard because I didn't use contractions because I have no idea how Ancient Greeks talked and though I'd suppose they used contractions, it didn't sound right. Then again, I never really thought stories set in say, Ancient Rome sound right when the antagonist uses the word F**k. Did they actually use that word? If someone can prove they did, I'll amend my statement.

Anyway, so the first draft of my Greek is done. The challenge in him was not only to keep away from the contractions, but to actually write a historical. I've been infatuated with Ancient Greece since college when I took a whole bunch of Greek Art classes. Thankfully that group of folks bathed and used razors. You'd be surprised who in history chose to forgo baths and hygiene. ::Shudder::

But I need to get back to him and fill his story out with world building and some more of the five senses.

Then I'll try to tackle the idea for the follow-up vampire story and the next story in my Besta Pizza series. Oh yeah, I can't turn off my brain even when I want to.

But I'm off for now. I need to get a couple of other things done.

Toodles.

Random Thoughts

Well, I actually came to the end of one of my WIPs. Yep, I finished one I had on the back burner for a bit. It's an erotica piece and goes after my erotica piece contracted with Total E Bound. Will they like it? I hope, but it still needs some edits and to see the CP, but hey, it's written and, to me, that's half the battle.

At the same time, I have a contemporary WIP that's with the CP. We're half way through it and I think it's got a good chance of being contracted somewhere, but I'm not tooting my own horn. I just really like the story and have a soft spot for farmers.

So, now it's back to the vampire story. He's been neglected for a while and well, he's not complaining about where he's at... but I'm sure he'd like to get his HEA.

And there's a pesky Ancient Greece story floating around in my head that would love to be told. Ah, but I need time to do that. Someday.

So that's all for now.

Toodles.
