Monday Moans! The End of the Race Season

It's the end of the season. The end of an era. The turning of the page. The championship has been won and the celebration started. What am I talking about?

Race season is over.

The teams have packed up the car for the final time, unless the driver is in the Chase. Then they get to go to Las Vegas. The rest? Well, it's time to head home and figure out what to do for next year.

It's the end of an era. My driver is going to another stable. Clint Bowyer, my Cheerio driver of the 33 RCR Chevy will be driving a Toyota for Michael Waltrip Racing. I'll cheer the man, but it breaks my heart. At least he didn't Rusty Wallace on me and retire.

The turning of the page. I'm a super NASCAR fan. But it will be tough not to see the 33 on the track. Kevin Harvick Inc is no longer and Ron Hornaday won't be with KHI. Sigh.

But I can say my truck series driver won the championship, so that's fantastic. Austin Dillon, you're aces in my book and I'm looking forward to cheering for you in the Nationwide series.

So even thought there's not much race-wise going on for me, I'm looking forward to Daytona. 2012 can't come fast enough.

Since I'm a Carl Edwards fan, it was a heartbreaking end to a great season. Each year brings more changes!

I'm a booger. I watched the end, but since I was getting tired, I set up the post before I knew who won. I would've been happy to see either driver win. I liked the Alan Kulwicki parallel to Stewart, but then again, i liked Kulwicki, so :D
