Monday Morning Armchair Quarterback - WEEK 3

It's time for one of my favorite days of the week. Monday Morning. I love me some football and I love the commentary even more. The announcers have got to think about what they say sometimes.

This week I'm featuring some Honorable Mentions as well as the quotes of the week. Here are some real winners from Week 2:

"They've got it in their package."

The question is what do they have in there?

"Little in motion."

Is that a who or a what?

~~~
And now.... this week's Quotes of the Week:
"Gotta get what he can with his legs."
Yes, leg work is good.
"Spreads to the right hand side."
As opposed to going to the left. It's a matter of comfort.
"Take a peek at what you've got out there."
Is it that big? Holy cow!
"A tight end and two receivers out to the right."
Man, they love that right side! Sounds like a hot time.
"What a nice block."
Generally blocks aren't nice, but hey, it might be worth it.
And now for the doozy of the week.....
"Pressure has been up inside."
Wow... just wow. I'm speechless.
Thanks for reading the quotes. I love listening for these and watching all those nice buns in tight pants. Stay tuned for my picks from Week Four.
100th Sunday Snog with Candlelit Magic
100 Sunday Snogs. How much better can you get? Here's mine from Candlelit Magic. Love this book. Hope you do, too. And if you answer the question at the end of the post, include your name and email, you're in the running for either a prize pack (US only) or a pdf from my backlist (INT).
Candlelit Magic by Wendi Zwaduk
Contemporary, Paranormal, Erotic, M/F
Novella
Total-E-Bound
Even love witches get the blues.
Havan’s magical potions bring couples together and give them the happily ever after of their dreams. Too bad her spells don’t work for her. In Erie View, the townspeople see nothing more than a witch. All she wants is to find that special man to embrace her quirks and love her. Will she be able to accept the blessings of the Goddesses or lose faith in herself?
Neil doesn’t believe in magic. It’s trickery for television and movies. No one creates a spell for people to fall in love. Hell, he doesn’t even believe in love. After a string of crappy dates and dead-end romances, he’s through with relationships. But a chance meeting at the grocery store changes his mind. Havan’s nothing like he expects—but is the blue haired witch enough to make him give romance another shot?
Available here:
And now for that SNOG!!! Yay!
The witch stood beside the car, the light from the street lamp illuminating her hair. She didn’t look at him, but didn’t move. So tiny and lonely next to the big vehicle. His heart broke. He’d been an ass to her and he needed to make things up to her.
“Havan.” Neil stopped beside her. He tugged her into his arms and stroked her hair. She felt so good in his embrace, perfect. “I’m so sorry, Havan. I’m not even sure what I want to say, but I like you.” He kissed the top of her head and closed his eyes. Her various bracelets and earrings jangled like sweet music in his head. He could hold her forever. “I’m sorry I’m being too pushy and pressing too hard. I’m a thirty-five-year-old construction worker who knows shit about dating, but I’m willing to learn. Give me another chance?”
She smoothed one hand up his chest, resting her palm over his heart. “You’re a good man,” she whispered. “You’re trying too hard and crushing me.”
“Because I like you.” He cupped her jaw in one hand and swiped his thumb over her cheek. Her eyes shone with unshed tears and she licked her bottom lip. He liked her more than he understood.
Neil lowered his mouth to hers and tasted her. She moaned beneath him and gripped his jacket, but didn’t pull away. From his head to his toes, his body vibrated. His skin tingled and when he opened his eyes for just a moment, he could’ve sworn she glowed. Did witches glow when they were turned on? He closed his eyes and tangled his tongue with hers. Something powerful passed between them and he never wanted to let her go.
After less than one date and a chance meeting at the shop, he’d fallen more than a little in love with her. Bullshit. Love didn’t happen that fast. But something had changed. The potion? No, he hadn’t drunk it. Had she spoken magical words? He doubted she’d said anything like that. She didn’t seem to believe in herself enough to try something devious.
Still, he refused to deny his attraction to her. He wanted more dates with her and to explore every inch of her delectable body. Now he had to hope she wanted the same thing from him.
Havan melted into his arms. He made bad jokes, but lots of people insulated themselves with insults against what they didn’t understand. Having a witch in town certainly left her open to being the object of ridicule. But he seemed to be different. Neil, despite all his faults, seemed to care. She clutched the sides of his coat and sighed into his kiss. The fever came over her again and she held him tighter. Venus must’ve smiled down on her or predetermined that she belonged to Neil. Couldn’t have been the potion. Could it?
Havan pulled away from him and stared into Neil’s blue eyes. His cheeks were flushed and his lips parted. “Come home with me.”
She had longed to hear him say those words, but doubt crossed her mind. “Did you take the potion?”
“Nope.”
Question: What is Havan worried Neil took?
Put your answer, along with your name and email in the comments and you are entered to win! Good luck and thanks for stopping!
Monday Morning Armchair Quarterback - WEEK 2
It's Monday and time for the Football Quotes of the Week. I thought since it's a new week, I'd create a shiny, new promo sticker. Like? I do.
So what were the crazy, silly, stupid and downright funny quotes? Read on!
"Firing to the right side."
Ah, that's the sweet spot.
"Sense of urgency."
Sounds like a personal problem.
"Cuts him off."
I bet that pissed him off, too.
"Patient in the pocket."
Aww. He's got finesse.
"Sliding around more."
Must mean someone's juicy!
"They don't have the people for the one to one coverage."
So...make it a menage. The more the merrier.
And now for the ever exciting Doozy of the Week:
It's actually a tie. Yep, a tie.
"He gets stronger with each touch."
Sounds so paranormal.
"The ball's coming out quicker."
Only one? Or both?
Stay tuned for my selections from week three. Sure to please. And check out my Honorable Mentions from this week - the ones that didn't quite make the cut, but were too good to leave out.
EXCERPT:
He couldn’t have imagined a better display for his birthday supper.
“So pretty.” He sat on the chair, then leaned over her and sucked one of the cherries into his mouth. She closed her eyes and her lips parted farther. The Nyotaimori girls weren’t supposed to react to the patrons—not in a traditional setting. But this, this was not traditional by a long shot. Sean dipped his finger in the whipped cream then drew a heart on her sternum.
Her cheeks flooded with colour and she whimpered.
“Talk to me, Roxy.” He dragged the other cherry in the fluffy white cream, then dangled it over her mouth. “First, take a bite.”
She curled her tongue around the cherry before pulling the fruit from the stem. Her brown eyes glittered and she moaned.
“So sexy.” He hooked his finger in the cake, then smeared frosting on her belly. The contrast of the perky blue frosting and her pale skin turned him on. He swiped his tongue through the sugary concoction, cleaning her up. His cock thickened and the blood rushed through his body. If they were in his bedroom, he’d do so much more with her. So much more.
“Don’t stop,” Roxy panted. She arched her back, offering herself to him. “Please?”
Oh hell yes, he’d take things further. He scooted to the head of the table and cupped her jaw in his hand. The sugary confection on his fingers smudged on her cheek. Time to tell her about their shared past and how much he wanted to give their future a try.
“You’re not wearing your red velvet mask.” He pressed a kiss to her lips, then licked her bottom lip. “It’s sexy as hell, but I like you better without it.”
“You remembered,” she whispered.
“I couldn’t forget.” He kissed her again, this time taking total control of the connection. He tangled their tongues and learnt her taste. When she moaned, he slid one arm behind her neck. “I want to play with you. More than anything we could do at Push and so much hotter.”
Her chest heaved. “Play?” The corner of her mouth curled. “I’d love to be yours for the night.”
For the night. She’d given him an opening. Sean stood, then moved the chair out of the way. Time to show her his dirtiest fantasies. “What is your safe word, beautiful?” He flicked the catch on his watch. This night needed to be special. The thick band of leather slid off his wrist and he tucked the timepiece in his pocket. He never showed off his tat on his inner wrist. For her, he would.
“Corsica.” Her cheeks flushed anew. “And I call you Sir?”
“Yes, pet.” He unbuckled his belt and slid it free of the loops. “Hands, pet.” When she raised her arms over her head, he leaned over her again. “Do you wish to use your safe word?”
“No, Sir.” She smiled and clasped her hands together.
“Good.” He wrapped the belt around her wrists then plucked a strawberry from her navel. “Bite.”
Monday Morning Armchair Quarterback
Or would it be armchair announcer? I like announcer better. Grin.
So here are the rundown from Week One... some real doozys in this group. I wonder if the announcers actually think before they speak. Hmmm...
Enjoy!
"Forward progress should happen."
In the best of situations, yes, it should.
"He's fakin' it! He's fakin' it!"
At least he can't say she is. But I ask...how do you know?
"Stopping the motion too early."
That's a real pain in the butt.
"There you go. You just paid for yourself."
Are we talking football or hookers?
"A few things moving in that pocket."
Like? Can we see?
And the doozy....
"You're substituting a lot."
Well... someone has to.
I hope you like the quotes. Be sure to see the best of week two next Monday.
Sunday Snoggin with Learning How to Bend
Read the other snogs here!!
Time for a Sunday Snog!!! How about one from one from the vault? Here's one from Learning How to Bend. I still love this story.
Learning How to Bend
Crestline, Ohio series – Book 1
Total-E-Bound
M/F, M/F/M, Ménage, Anal Sex, Voyeurism, Multiple Partners
Their marriage is about to fall apart, but not if she can help it and he's willing to bend.
Abby Donovan imagined nothing could change her simple life as a librarian. Her loving husband Seth, a mechanic in the Air National Guard, is scheduled to return from a short deployment in Iraq. Before he gets home, a letter arrives. It seems Seth is asking for a divorce. She must decide whether to walk away without a fight or to wait and confront him with the thing he's always dreamed of - a ménage à trois. But all is not as it seems.
Seth Donovan wanted an idyllic life to go along with his career in the military. Then he sees the atrocities of war firsthand. A conversation with a colleague ends up as fodder for the rumour mill and so much more. Seth never wanted a divorce. He wants his wife. Will she accept him despite the rumours and advances from another man? Or can their relationship withstand the turmoil of war?
Available here:
And now for that snog!
Hell, she’d yearned to touch Nate from the day she met him at Seth’s college graduation. Starting with his big feet and sculpted calves to his bronzed shoulders and piercing green eyes, she’d felt drawn like a moth to a flame. But being a happily married woman meant no contact with another man, including her husband’s friend. With both men involved, she could be a vixen and explore her limits. Seth always did mention he’d love to try a ménage a trois, especially with Nate. Why not now?
She handed the six-foot tall, sandy-haired hunk the bills. “Here you are.” Knowing Seth watched from behind, Abby wrapped her arms around Nate’s muscle-corded neck. “And this is your tip.” She pressed her lips to his.
“Are you certain Seth’s cool with it? He’s squirming.” Nate stepped back and stole a glance at Seth. His voice wavered a bit. “I know we talked about it, man, but that was before you married Abby. I gotta tell ya, I’m in.”
Abby looked at Seth. Her brows rose a fraction of an inch. Seth and Nate discussed her, or rather sex with her. She should’ve felt insulted, but instead a burst of raw desire and longing rushed straight between her thighs. Her lips parted. Was she in accord with the situation? She wanted Nate, yes, but she also needed Seth as much as she had the first time they made love. “What do you think, Seth?”
The fire of possession burned in Seth’s eyes. He dipped his head, making her heart rate race into warp speed.
Nate’s jaw muscle clenched and unclenched. “Oh yeah, Seth wants it. He’s coming unglued. Yeah.”
Abby’s voice dropped to an octave she didn’t recognise as her own. “I am interested in both of you.”
As if it were second nature or something they’d done before, Nate lowered his lips to hers in a deep kiss. She leaned into him, melting at his touch and exploring his mouth with her tongue. He tasted like cola and mint gum and smelled sweet, like warm pizza dough. She longed to see the expression on Seth’s face and pictured it in her mind. He loved to watch couples on television engage in sexual activities. The idea of him watching her made the act with Nate so much hotter.
   Nate’s hands skimmed over her shoulders and her collarbone down to the sensitive peaks of her breasts. She gasped. Not quite like Seth, but not bad either. His calloused fingers moved down her stomach and smoothed along the crack of her ass, sending tingles through her system at warp speed.
Abby hooked her fingers into the waistband of Nate’s jeans, pulling his shirt free so she could explore his rock-hard stomach with her hands and lips. I’m so far out of my comfort zone… but I like it.
“Honey, Seth’s sportin’ a tent.”
She opened her eyes to take in the look of pleasure on Nate’s face. “So let’s give him a show. I want him so hot he can’t keep away.”
“Yeah.” Nate panted. “I forgot he likes to watch.”
“He does, and I want to titillate him.”
Love Struck and So Sexy!
 Time to get love struck!
I thought for my part of the hop, I'd give away a copy of One More Night, my sexy pilot story from Decadent Publishing. Here's a little bit about the book. Stay tuned, there's a quiz at the end and answering and including your name and email gets you in the hat for the pdf of One More Night!
Keep Reading!
One More Night by Wendi Zwaduk
1Night Stand Series
Contemporary, Short Story
M/F, Anal Sex
From Decadent Publishing
Fear can blind. Will love show the way in the dark? All it takes is one more night...
Three years ago, Jenna ran away from what should have been the best night of her life. Letting her fear and shame get in the way of true happiness has haunted her ever since. It’s time to move on and put the past behind her. A date through the 1Night Stand service is the perfect opportunity to start living life again.
 When the love of his life slipped through his fingers, Drake hated to let her go. A near-death accident prevented him from going after her. But after three years of recovery and waiting, he’s ready to take back what’s his, and he’ll do whatever it takes to keep her from running again.
Can Madame Eve work a miracle or will love lose out to pride and fear?
Available here:
Decadent Publishing:
EXCERPT:
“Hello, Jenna.”
Holy shit, he is my date. A lump formed in her throat and she stared at the man at the bottom of the stairs. Drake Martin. The bane of her existence and the only man she’d never been able to get out of her mind.
She tripped down the final step and lurched forward. Instead of hitting the ground, she sagged into his arms and bit back a cry before righting herself. So much for confidence and poise. Few situations handed her curveballs the way being with him did.
With one clumsy move on her part and his answering grin, he managed to wipe out the aplomb she’d fought so hard to learn. “Steps are still your downfall, aren’t they?” He brushed a curl from her eyes. “I forgot how beautiful you are.”
He’d shaken something deep down inside her. The part of her she thought she’d buried when she walked away from him—the bad girl who let go of her past and craved his sensual punishment. “How did…?” Damn it. She hadn’t meant to sound clueless. “I mean, hi.”
“Hello, sweetheart. How did what?” His brows rose. “How did you end up here? That’s my fault.” Drake shrugged and the corner of his mouth curled into a half smile. “The airport has memories for us. I thought it was fitting.”
“Actually, I wanted to know how Madame Eve knew to have the plane bring me here—to you.” Her chest heaved and she took a few long breaths to calm down. “I haven’t told anyone.”
He inched closer to her, enough that his breath skittered on her skin. His eyes darkened. “I told her.”
Being around him was too dangerous. He knew things about her that no one else knew, especially where to cut the deepest. Even with all she’s learned since they’d been apart, trusting him still scared her. But damn, she wanted to fall into his arms. And not by accident.
Throwing her hands in the air, she shook her head. “Well, I’m here.”
QUESTION TIME!
So who did Jenna meet up with for her 1Night Stand? Leave your answer, your name and email in the comments and I'll pick a winner. Since this is a pdf, this is an international prize. Grin. Good luck!!
Smut Alfresco and Saturday Night Special!
I thought since the theme is outdoors and hot love, I'd share a snippet from my newest release, Saturday Night Special. I love racing and romance and this book has both! Oh and some fem dom for fun! I'll have a question at the bottom of the excerpt, so check it out. There's a copy of Best I Ever Had up for grabs as well as the big August Alfresco prize listed below.
Saturday Night Special by Wendi Zwaduk
Contemporary, M/F, Racing, BDSM, Fem Dom, Toys, Spanking
Novella
From Turquoise Morning Press
Available here:
She makes his motor run.
Blaine Haeferle drives fast and lives on the edge. He’s not afraid to risk it all for the win—unless his heart is in the mix. He loved once, but things ended in disaster. Can he accept the woman who holds his heart, despite all their jagged past?
Mallory Sweet never intended to leave Blaine without a word. But one night changed everything for her. Instead of facing her past, she ran. Is coming to terms with her past the key to winning the love of her life back?
Anything can happen on a Saturday night under the lights.
And now here's the excerpt!
With Kellen on the back of the machine, Blaine sped through the pits to the track. The surface seemed fine, if not a little dry. He couldn’t concentrate. His mind kept wandering back to Mallory.
“I don’t know, Kell—her being here has me fucked up.” Blaine gripped the handlebars. “I can’t wrap my mind around her coming back.”
“No shit,” Kellen replied. “If they keep watering the surface, the track will get tacky but I’m pretty sure it’ll be bone dry by lap twenty.”
“Yeah, the grip is up on the top shelf.”
“Cool. I can adjust for that.” Kellen gripped Blaine’s shoulders. “About your woman situation…you’re here to do a job not tag a piece of ass. Don’t hit me and don’t throw me off the back of this thing. She used to be a sweet girl and I can’t imagine what she’s been through.”
“But?”
“But you’re here to race so we can afford new parts for the Friday night car and buy a new front nose piece for the Saturday car. The Saturday Night Special pays well and you know it. Figure out things with her afterward. She’ll be here. If I have to barricade the damn hauler and enlist the badass twins, I’ll keep her there. Hell, I might even have them escort Susie out while they’re at it. She’s not helping at all. I swear she’s been screwing around.”
“I haven’t fucked her, so I have no idea.”
“Good. Don’t. Let’s head back to the pits. It appears they’re doing the fireworks now instead of after the race. Gives me a little more time to adjust on the car and you time to work your shit out.”
“You know you can be a real asshole when you want to, but you’re right.”
“I aim to please or at least kick your ass into winning. Head back to the pits, hot shoe.”
Blaine processed Kell’s words. If the powers that be changed the order of the program, he’d have time to talk to Mallory. Whatever she had to say, he’d be pissed. But they had a few minutes—plenty of time to make a sexy memory before he found out exactly what she had to say. Blood rushed through his body and centered in his cock. Yeah, he needed to make at least one more white-hot memory with her. Blaine pulled to a stop behind the hauler. No Mallory.
Quint nodded to the hauler truck. “She’s in there.”
“Thanks.” Blaine headed through the side door and climbed the stairs to the cabin area of the hauler truck. Mallory hugged herself and sat on the edge of the couch.
“Hey.” She didn’t move, just watched him. “Blaine. I came back here because it was more private. I’m sorry if I encroached.”
            “Don’t want to talk.” Blaine locked the door and crossed the short expanse to her. She shot out of her seat and opened her mouth to protest. He smothered her answer with a kiss. Lust and desire slammed into his brain. As much as he’d told himself he didn’t love her, he knew better. She flowed through his soul. Mallory clutched at his shirt and pressed her body to his. This, her soft body underneath him, this is what he needed. Craved.
QUESTION: Who is Blaine hoping for find when he returns to the race car hauler?
“Don’t want to talk.” Blaine locked the door and crossed the short expanse to her. She shot out of her seat and opened her mouth to protest. He smothered her answer with a kiss. This, her soft body underneath him, this is what he needed. Craved. He angled her to the couch and dropped down between her knees. He broke the kiss and shoved her skirt up past her hips. She gasped and braced her feet. The heels of her shoes clicked on the hardwood floor.
“Good girl.” He grabbed the thin elastic of her panties and yanked. The scent of her whirled around him. Her cream glistened in the light. His mouth watered. He parted her thighs and buried his face in her pussy. All his unresolved feelings for her, the love, the devotion, the need welled to the surface. He never expected to see her again, much less have another chance to taste her kiss.
“Oh.” The word came out in a moan. She threaded her fingers into his hair. “Wow.”
Blaine suckled on her clit and without looking down, removed her shoes. He trailed his fingers up and down her leg, bracing her calf on his shoulder. God, he loved touching her. He committed each of her whimpers and sighs to memory.
She murmured his name and pulled on his hair. “Feels so good.”
He chuckled and laved his tongue over her labia. Like tasting honey sweetened silk. Blaine parted her pussy lips with his fingers and grazed his teeth over her clit. She bent her knee over his shoulder and pulled him in tighter. Mallory ground her hips against his face.
Not done yet. He inserted one finger into her channel. She gripped him, holding his finger within her. Holy fuck. If her pussy grabbed at his finger, he could hardly fathom her clenching around his cock. He suppressed a shiver. Soon.
“Fuck. Just fuck.” Mallory quivered and scraped her nails over his scalp. Blaine pumped his finger in her cunt. He loved the burn from her fingertips. Loved when she took the lead. Hell, whoever happened to be leading, he wanted claim her as his own.
“Blaine.” She bucked off the couch and wrapped her legs around his head. Her cream slid down his chin and hand. He licked his lips and eased her legs back open in order to withdraw his finger.
“Whoa.”
