The vampire and wolf shifter will protect Ava with their lives—because they belong together as deemed by the Sources. Will their blossoming love wither before they get a chance to stoke the flames, or will it be strong enough to overcome their problems?

~~~~
The world can crumble around us, but we’ve always got each other. Always.
Ava Grant learned the hard way not to trust anyone. Trust equaled opening up to another person and allowing herself to be hurt. She’s done with pain—until she’s summoned by the Sources. Her world is thrown into upheaval. Two men can help her, if she’s willing to let them in. Will she able to open her heart to a vampire and a wolf shifter?
Joachim Stokes and Padraig O’Malley are the best of friends. The attraction between them is palpable, but there’s something missing. When they are tasked with protecting Ava, they realize they’d found what they’ve been missing—her. A bond forms between the three, but some bonds are meant to be broken. With the war heating up, her past won’t stay hidden forever.
Will their blossoming love wither before they get a chance to stoke the flames, or will it be strong enough to overcome their problems?
The door creaked. When Ava shifted her focus from the clothes, Joachim smiled. She liked the wolf shifter from the first moment she’d met him. Quiet and shy, he didn’t command attention like some men, but he grabbed hers.
“Hey, you.” He sat on her bed. “What’s happening? Clothes shopping?”
“Something like that.” She browsed the different dresses and then picked a red and white check pattern. “Close your eyes.”
“Ava. I won’t do anything.” He shrugged. “I’ve been a gentleman so far.”
She had to give him that—he hadn’t pushed her. Ava hesitated. This was a big moment for her. She didn’t undress in front of anyone unless he’d been willing to pay or was Maslow with a gun to her head. She didn’t want Joachim to see the scars.
“Please?”
The shifter grinned and did as she’d asked. He folded his legs up under his powerful body. The muscles in his arms bulged. Her belly tightened and her nipples ached. She liked strong men and wondered what it would be like to wrap herself in his embrace. Of course he’d have to be attracted to her. She doubted he liked girls. He hardly gawked at her in the same ways other men did. She wriggled out of the T-shirt and shoved her tattered jeans to the floor. A part of her wanted to run across the room and jump into his arms. She wanted to be desired. The rest of her knew the score—get dressed and forget the attraction she craved. She unzipped the garment and slipped the soft cotton over her frame. She wasn’t as busty as the original wearer, but she liked the way the dress snugged her ribs and waist and showcased some of her cleavage.
“Okay, you can look.” She strolled up to him. “I need you to zip me.” She turned her back on him. “Please?”
“This fits you well.” He tugged the pull, closing the back of the dress. “I like it.”
“Do you?” She let go of her hair and faced him. “This is part of me being brave.”
“How?”
She nodded to the duffle bag. “My past is in there.” She sat beside him and patted his thigh. Dear Lord, the man had nice legs. She shook her head. “I mean, everything in that bag reminds me of my time with Maslow. He expected his girls to dress like…you know.”
“I do.” He draped his arm around her shoulders. “Sometimes you’ve got to leave the past in the past and never dredge it up again. I’m proud of you.”
Sunday Snoggin' With Best I Ever Had!!
It's time for the Sunday Snog, one of my favorite times of the week. For my snog, I thought I'd feature a snippet from my upcoming short story, a hot little menage called Best I Ever Had. Comes from Turquoise Morning Press on March 11th and I can't wait!!
The objective—keep her safe. No one said anything about falling in love.
All she wanted was a pint of ice cream, not to be a witness to a double murder. Good thing Emma’s got not one, but two, sexy men willing to keep her safe. As long as she can keep her hands to herself.
Sam’s mission? To find the man responsible for the murder. He’s not going to rest until the streets are safe, even if it means having his best friend guard his best girl. It’s the best option, right?
Quint never dreamed he’d be attracted to his best friend’s lover…and his best friend. He’s got to keep his hands to himself all while figuring out what he wants from life, even if love equals Emma and Sam in Quint’s bed.
Is love in the cards or are they going to go up in flames before they get started?
And now for that snog!!
“I said it before and I meant it. I want to lick every inch of you and hear you scream my
name, Em.” He stopped a whisper from her lips. “Only my name.”
“What about Quint?”
Instead of answer, Sam swooped in for a kiss. Emma gasped into his mouth. Her knees
wobbled as he swiped his tongue over hers. Forget the loose top or her fears. She wrapped her
arms around him and ground her pussy against the bulge in his jeans. Sam hiked her up against
his chest and carried her into the bedroom. She broke the kiss and held on with each stride.
Emma collapsed on the bed. Her legs fell open. She never could resist his caress. “Take
me, Sam.”
“My girl still wants me. Halle-fucking-lujah.” Sam groaned. His voice dropped two
octaves to a rough bass that made her womb quiver. “Jesus, I missed you.”
“Missed you, too.” Emma nodded. “Show me.” Her heart thrummed in her ears and her
breath caught in her throat. She wanted him for the rest of her life. She dropped her hand from
her breasts and guided him to her soaked cut off shorts. She should’ve felt exposed. Instead, she
felt complete. “Right here, right now, Sam.”
Sam ripped the t-shirt up over his head, giving Emma teasing glances of the chiseled
muscles of his chest. Her gaze followed the thin trail of crisp mahogany hair that disappeared
below his belt to where the true pleasure lay trapped. Emma moved her knees, her hands sliding
down her torso until she hooked her fingers into her waistband.
“That’s right, baby.” Sam tossed the discarded garments onto the floor. “I want to see all
of you.”
Emma shrugged out of his shirt. The brisk air in the bedroom kissed her dewy skin. She
fumbled with the zipper on her shorts. Sam grasped the frayed edge of her shorts and pulled. The
scream of ripping denim ricocheted through the room. “No bottoms?” Sam crawled along her
body and planted his knees on either side of her hips. He cupped her chin and nibbled her ear.
“You shaved.”
Emma threaded one arm around his neck and spoke against his lips. “I like being bare.”
“I like you bare.” He took both her hands in one of his and arranged her on the bed.
“You’re so wet.” His gaze seared her. “For me.”
“Sam?” Her heart pounded. “Make love to me, Sam. With Quint watching.”
Ten Line Tuesday from Best I Ever Had
I can't wait for this short story to come out. This was the scariest pitch, even if the ladies were all awesome. I'm glad it all worked out. :-) Enjoy!
“I don’t want to be hot,” she muttered. “I don’t want to be in hiding, either.” She turned her back on the sliding doors. “Aren’t you tired of this, Quint? We live together because Sam wants to keep me safe. How crazy is that?”
“Em, it won’t be much longer. Trust Sam. I do.” Quinton Reynolds widened his stance at the front door. “He’s not here, but he does care. We won’t let anyone hurt you.”
“Thanks.” Emma threw her arms around him and rested her head on his chest. She loved Quint, but some days being alone with her roommate-slash-bodyguard sucked. She missed her husband, Sam.
Having a mate can be a pain. Having three…now that’s unheard of…
Gypsy volunteered to become a vampire, but she had no idea just what she’d agreed to do. As a human, she’d had her pick of willing males to warm her bed. As a creature of the night, she’s striking out.
Until she meets Kendall. He knows what she is and doesn’t care. He’s loved her since he met her, but he had no idea just how complicated her life truly was. Her protectors refuse to leave her side. But what if he wants them on his side, too?
Allan and Todd are mates, plain and simple. Gypsy is in their charge. Period. Until they start to see her not as a problem, but a sexy solution complete with an adorable human thrown in for fun.
Can they come together as a foursome or will they destroy everything they’ve built in the name of passion?
Reader Advisory: This book contains scenes of mm sex, anal play, ménages of the mmf, mfm, and mmfm persuasions, as well as lots of biting and spanking. They’re having one hell of a party.
Ten Line Tuesday
Mindy, Arran and Sav haven't left me alone. Instead they give me bits and pieces of their story. It's a mess, but here's a bit they've let me in on. Enjoy!
"Mindy, wait." Garrison trotted to where she stood. "Don't do this."
"Do what?" She stepped backwards to move out of his reach.
"Don't build a wall between us. You're the closest thing I have to a best friend." He touched her cheek, rubbing his thumb over her skin. "I'd be lost without you."
"I'm married to two wonderful men." Instead of the warm, fuzzy feelings she got when Arran or Sav touched her, her stomach churned. She batted Garrison's hand away. "You knew that when we started working together. This--whatever you think it is, can't happen."
"Maybe that's why I'm devastated." The muscles in his jaw worked overtime. "I know what they have and can't seem to hold on to. I know and I'm the one on the outside looking in. Breaks my heart."
Bile rose in her throat. She'd gotten too close to him. Regardless of how Sav and Arran treated her, she took things too far and allowed Garrison to see the bitter part of her life. Well, shit.
Flirty Friday! A Contract!!
I'm excited to say the story for the menage anthology, The Treble Anthology, has been accepted. The cover above is a temp one I created, but still...Total-E-Bound has the best artists and I'm sure what they come up with will be fantastic. I can't wait.
Here's the blurb:
Parkur’s not convinced the split is for good. They were meant to be three. But can he write the music to convince Juniper and Jacoby to give him a second chance? Juniper and Jacoby want the triad intact. Is the love they shared as three enough to erase the destruction in their collective past?
Contains two heroes hell bent on making sweet music with the woman of their dreams, the rediscovery of passion between three people, hot manlove and ménage action, a little spanking, some toy play, and some bondage...oh yes...
What the? Wednesdays...You Know You've Read Too Much MM When...
You know you've read to much MM when... this is a sad but true story. And it was worse once I realized, wow, yeah, I probably do read too much MM.
I was at a particular eatery with the youngling. We stood in line awaiting our turn when I happened to notice the people in front of me. Normally, I don't really care who happens to be standing around me--I'll strike up a conversation with anyone. But this particular time, there were three men (college aged man-children) and one young woman. They were joined by another male of the college-age range.
First thought, Hon, you've got the sweet and innocent look going on. Work it! I mean, she looked like All-American, apple pie, yanno? Then I thought, lucky girl...five guys. Isn't this a Siren Love Xtreme storyline?
Second thought, the one gent in front of me had a hickey the size of an apple on the side of his neck. Here's where the MM comes in. I actually stood and looked at the hickey wondering which was the angle of origin (yes, too many CSI marathon, too) and which one gave it to him.
Then my mind wandered. Which one HAD left the hickey? Of course now, Megan has arrived and is egging me on. She's such a bad influence.
We came to the conclusion, he was sammiched in the middle, her on one side, the brawnier guy on the other and EVERYONE has hickies, they just don't happen to be so visible.
I won't go into our deduction as to HOW the hickies precisely got there, but suffice it to say, Megan's creative thoughts flowed like wine.
So yeah, I've read WAYY TOOO MUCH MM.
How about you?
Monday Moans
There's this man I love. Well, actually, there's two. I know it sounds crazy. I mean, some women can't even find one man to love without care. So I should feel lucky. Right?
And yet... I'm torn.
Good thing I can put the pain into song. My name is Juniper Binder. I sing and play piano and organ for the rock band Razrs Edge. Did I mention I co-write the songs, too? I do.
Are you wondering about the men in my life? I thought you might be. Both men are my bandmates. Well, they were. Jacoby is still in my life. He's my husband. I love him with all my heart. I mean, he's the man who makes me shine and understand what I need. He's the drummer and yeah, he's really good with his hands.
And then there's Parkur. Oh, man. He's the tough one. I was with Parkur first. Now don't get yoru britches in a bunch. I didn't cheat on him with Jacoby. Nothing like that. Parkur and I started Razrs Edge in high school. We needed something to do that was a little more constructive than having sex all day. Yes, we were horny as hell. After school, we took our little two piece band to the bright shiny lights of LA. We got a contract, but it didn't go anywhere. And then we met Jacoby. Funny thing, it was Parkur that cheated on me with Jacoby. I mean, duh, I knew he was gay. Hell, I'd pick out boyfriends for him. For a while there I thought Parkur wouldn't need me--in life or in the band. But when we pooled our resources and went with the mutual attraction, we realized three really was our magic number.
It was bliss.
Now you're wondering why we aren't together. I'm not totally sure what happened, other than Parkur said he wanted to move on. He wanted a wife and a family--not a girlfriend and a boyfriend. That revelation damned near killed me. It was hard as hell on Jacoby, too. Thank God we had each other to lean on. Probably why we decided to get married. We had each other and we had the music. But you ask Jacoby and he'll...probably grunt and grimmace and walk away. On the inside, he's hurting. I'm his wife, yes, but I'm not the only person he wants.
And it hurts.
I want Jacoby to want me and I want Parkur to be there. I want my husband and his gay lover.
How fucked up is that?
*****Sigh***** Now that I've surely bored you to tears... I'll close. Thanks for letting me rant.
Rock on.
Thank You Thursday
I got some great reviews from not only a magazine, but also a reader. Now, I love getting feedback, but this reader was so excited about Tangled Up she contacted me. Yeah, made me beam. Then I got this gem in my email and yeah, I'm still happy dancing.
"I knew I would love Tangled Up. It drew me in.
My emotions varied from pissed off to amused to amazed. Mindy seeing Arran and Sav in town as a couple and she was still wearing is ring?! Sav hating Mindy at one point yet he was the reason Arran left her! Sav automatically assuming Mindy betrayed them. Oh yeah , Mindy MOVED out so Sav could move in This limbo that she lived in for so long. Yeah , I still want to kick Arran in the balls a bit. I always love books that get me involved and yours certainly do that. :-)"
This is a review from Queer Magazine Online:
"Tangled Up includes scenes of lust so hot you need a cold shower, and with strong characters and punchy dialogue, this is a must read for anyone who enjoys m/m/f ménage stories. Written in a contemporary style, I'd also recommend it to anyone who enjoys drama and romance."
I'm really happy and I hope the rest of the readers are, too. What do you think?
