Best I Ever Had ~ Scarred Hearts, Book 1 by @WendiZwaduk #Romance #erotic #mFm #menageromance #shortstory

Best I Ever Had by Wendi Zwaduk

Scarred Hearts, #1

Publisher: Megan Slayer Publications

The objective—keep her safe. No one said anything about falling in love.

All she wanted was a pint of ice cream, not to be a witness to a double murder. Good thing Emma’s got not one, but two, sexy men willing to keep her safe. As long as she can keep her hands to herself.

Sam’s mission? To find the man responsible for the murder. He’s not going to rest until the streets are safe, even if it means having his best friend guard his best girl. It’s the best option, right?

Quint never dreamed he’d be attracted to his best friend’s wife…and his best friend. He’s got to keep his hands to himself all while figuring out what he wants from life, even if love equals Emma and Sam in Quint’s bed.

Is love in the cards or are they going to go up in flames before they get started?

Six months of waiting in hiding hadn’t eased her mind. Living in the gated community helped, but if someone wanted her dead, it would happen. Gates and armed guards didn’t stand a chance against a machine gun or whatever served as Morales’ weapon of choice. He wanted her to keep quiet, no matter what.
No toys or quickies with Quint would erase her pain. “Catch him so it’s all over.” Emma blinked back tears of frustration. “I want my life back.”
She touched the picture of Sam on the counter. Her heart squeezed in her chest. He didn’t have to go to the lengths he’d gone to for her. I won’t risk losing you. She sighed. What if she lost him in the process?
“I miss him, too.” Quint placed his hand on hers.
Emma bumped shoulders with him and wiped her cheeks. “I know. I’m glad you’re here. I’d be stir crazy alone.”
“Won’t be long, now.” He kissed her temple. “Promise.”
The words failed to comfort her. “If I’m not safe in the Leatherwoods, I’m not safe anywhere. Do you hear that, Quint? I’m done.” She shoved the newspaper into the recycle bin and headed to the refrigerator. Emma withdrew a half-empty bottle of rose wine. “If I want to sip a glass of wine on my balcony, then by God, I should be able to.” She nodded to herself and poured a generous amount into a wine goblet. “You can watch for all I care. I want to have a normal life again.”
She balanced the wine glass in her fingers and picked up a lighter for the citronella candles and her book from the table. She shoved the lighter in her back pocket and stuck her book under her free arm. Emma crossed the room and stepped through the sliding doors. The potted pansies fluttered in the slight wind. She dropped the book on the lounger and left the wine glass on the ground beside the chair.
“Seems like a nice time to take in some afternoon sun.” Shielding her eyes with her hand, she glanced around at the neighboring terraces. For a humid late July afternoon, no one seemed to be home and that suited her fine. “Looks like we’re alone, anyway.”
“You try my patience,” Quint growled. He plopped down onto the balcony railing. “Anyone with a good shot could take your ass out right now. Why are you chancing it?”
“I’m not chancing anything with you standing there ready to take the bullet,” Emma snorted. Six months of having someone watching her managed to kill her modesty. Sure, time spent in her bedroom meant time alone. Anywhere else in the apartment gave Quint ample view of what she did. Most of the time his presence didn’t bother her. He was Sam’s best friend. They shared everything—except her. So she enjoyed strolling to the kitchenette every once in a while in the nude? Quint, being the consummate good guy with a foul mouth, never acted on impulse. Sam alluded to wanting a threesome with her and Quint.
Based on Quint’s reactions, she doubted the event would happen—the talk needed to evolve into action.
Whatever.
“I’m going to immerse myself in a book.”

Emma collapsed on the bed. Her legs fell open. She never could resist his caress. “Take me, Sam.”
“My girl still wants me. Halle-fucking-lujah.” Sam groaned. His voice dropped two octaves to a rough bass that made her womb quiver. “Jesus, I missed you.”
“Missed you, too.” Emma nodded. “Show me.” Her heart thrummed in her ears and her breath caught in her throat. She wanted him for the rest of her life. She dropped her hand from her breasts and guided him to her soaked cut off shorts. She should’ve felt exposed. Instead, she felt complete. “Right here, right now, Sam.”
Sam ripped the t-shirt up over his head, giving Emma teasing glances of the chiseled muscles of his chest. Her gaze followed the thin trail of crisp mahogany hair that disappeared below his belt to where the true pleasure lay trapped. Emma moved her knees, her hands sliding down her torso until she hooked her fingers into her waistband.
“That’s right, baby.” Sam tossed the discarded garments onto the floor. “I want to see all of you.”
Emma shrugged out of his shirt. The brisk air in the bedroom kissed her dewy skin. She fumbled with the zipper on her shorts. Sam grasped the frayed edge of her shorts and pulled. The scream of ripping denim ricocheted through the room. “No bottoms?” Sam crawled along her body and planted his knees on either side of her hips. He cupped her chin and nibbled her ear. “You shaved.”
Emma threaded one arm around his neck and spoke against his lips. “I like being bare.”
“I like you bare.” He took both her hands in one of his and arranged her on the bed. “You’re so wet.” His gaze seared her. “For me.”
“Sam?” Her heart pounded. “Make love to me, Sam. With Quint watching.” She held her breath. She’d known about Sam and Quint’s involvement for quite a while and she liked Quint. More than she should’ve. He’d hovered in her life for the past six months and become a fixture in most things she did. With him out of the room, things felt off. Yes, she loved her husband, but she loved Quint, too.
“I want Quint to watch,” she whispered. “I do.”
“Quint?” Sam dragged his fingers over her pussy lips. “You’re sure?”
“More than ever. He’s your lover, too. Why would I count him out?”

Hump Day Humps ~ Best I Ever Had

Get more humps here!
Since it's been a while since I posted one of these, I thought I'd post Best I Ever Had. I got a fab review for this book and well, it deserves sharing.

Here's what Trully had to say:
Want saucy, juicy and a lot of raunchy? This book is the first I have read of its kind. The dynamics of all the relationships are superbly written. Having characters filling in the missing voids of each other while apart is one thing, but when they are together, it is a whole "nother" ball game. One you will see they each play differently. But, will the ball drop? Let us just say plenty of balls will drop, roll, and be fondled and twisted. You will like every moment as the fruit and nuts mix... to make a nice mixture of something tangy and sweet. These characters have some interesting personalities and hot bodies that you can smell as you read each word. This book gets 5 cups, because the steam felt from this novel does not compare to a hot cup of anything! It is direct, clear, and always keeps your attention." ~ Trully, Reviewer for Coffee Time Romance & More

Have an excerpt:

Emma shrugged out of his shirt. The brisk air in the bedroom kissed her dewy skin. She fumbled with the zipper on her shorts. Sam grasped the frayed edge of her shorts and pulled. The scream of ripping denim ricocheted through the room. “No bottoms?” Sam crawled along her body and planted his knees on either side of her hips. “I want Quint to watch,” she whispered. “I do.”

“Quint?” Sam dragged his fingers over her pussy lips. “You’re sure?”

“More than ever. He’s your lover, too. Why would I count him out?” The more she talked out what she wanted, the stronger she sounded. Being honest with herself and Sam comforted her.

“Em?” Worry and confusion shone in Sam’s eyes. “When? How? We were cautious.”

“Yes, you were, but even cautious gets people into trouble.” She arched her back, showcasing her breasts. “You started this fire. Don’t let it burn out. Have him come in here or finish me yourself.”

“Quint,” Sam shouted. “Quint?”

The door creaked and footsteps padded on the floor. Quint appeared over Sam’s shoulder. “You rang?”
“Pull up a chair.” Sam kept his gaze fixed on her and rubbed his cheek along her inner thigh. “Enjoy the show.”

After he exchanged glances with her, Quint eased the rest of the way into the room. “Thank you, Jesus.” He sank down in the beat up armchair. One hand palmed his crotch while the other hand gripped the arm of the chair. “About damn time. I have permission?”

“You have mine.” Emma licked her lips. This was real. Him, Sam, all of it. Her breath lodged fast in her throat. Their first time all together and she wouldn’t change a minute of it so far.

“Do you like having him here?” Sam flattened his tongue along her sensitive skin, grazing his teeth over her labia. “Like knowing he’s hard right now? Like me tasting you?”

“Yes, yes, yes,” she managed. Sparks shot from her clit to her lower belly and bounced to her brain. The sensation overload overwhelmed her. “Feels good when you stroke me down there. It tingles.”
“Fuck. So soft. Silky.” Sam palmed her breast and tweaked the nipple until she cried out.

“You’re mine.” He scooted off the bed and pressed her legs open. “Mine.”

“God, that’s hot.” The click of Quint’s zipper caught her attention. “Love this.”

“Our girl is hot as hell.”

And now for those ten hot lines!

“Did you hear something?” she asked.
“No one’s here but you and me.” He nodded to the dining room table. “You heard the newspaper. Breeze caught it.” He stood then crossed the room to where she waited. “Going to use that on the patio? You do realize someone will see you sooner or later.”
“I’m not worried about someone seeing me. The balcony walls are high enough. They might hear me, but unless you’re coming out to give me a hand, I’m on my own.”
“You never asked.” Quint touched her cheek. “The three of us could have the best times. All you have to do is say the word.” He brushed his thumb across her bottom lip then strolled back to his position on the couch.
Emma tipped her head and mulled over Quint’s words. He wanted to fool around?

Ten Line Tuesday from Best I Ever Had

I can't wait for this short story to come out. This was the scariest pitch, even if the ladies were all awesome. I'm glad it all worked out. :-) Enjoy!

“I don’t want to be hot,” she muttered. “I don’t want to be in hiding, either.” She turned her back on the sliding doors. “Aren’t you tired of this, Quint? We live together because Sam wants to keep me safe. How crazy is that?”

“Em, it won’t be much longer. Trust Sam. I do.” Quinton Reynolds widened his stance at the front door. “He’s not here, but he does care. We won’t let anyone hurt you.”

“Thanks.” Emma threw her arms around him and rested her head on his chest. She loved Quint, but some days being alone with her roommate-slash-bodyguard sucked. She missed her husband, Sam.
