Monday Moans

I thought I'd stop by today for a short post. I'm in between races and have a moment of free time. I'm a crew chief co the Blitz Racing teams. My good friend Tucker races for us, too. Its a good place to be. Great people. Great resources. Ok, there is one person there... I don't know. I care about her, but I'm married to the race team... I am my job. I don't think she gets that. Then again, I don't always get it. I'm scared to tell her I care ave scare to tell her my secrets. I have some ghosts in my... past that I don't think she'd approve if right off. Sucks. I think I love her. I mean I can't see life without her, I'm just not how to keep her in my life.... Enough for now.

Ok, so I totally dropped the ball on this post. Yup. I got so excited by the thrills of Easter - yes, I love my Cadbury Eggs - I kinda forgot the post. Hey, was with the family, eating chocolate, and hiding eggs...yanno...Easter fun. But at least I posted a bunny?

Ok, two days of Tasty Tuesday to make up for it. And I promise not to forget again. Really. :-)

Monday Moans ~ What I'd Say...

I'm doing the blog today and I have to say, it's a toughie. I'm not really one for talking, but I'm a public figure. Sucks. I'm very private.

Ok, so Wendi says I have to talk about me...Fine. My name is Parkur. I'm a Leo. Middle name's Leo, too. I hate snow, but I live in Cleveland, Ohio. Not the brightest move, but it works. My recording studio is there.

I just got back from a tour and I'm lonely. I know, there's lots of people on the road. One issue. They aren't ... well, they aren't the two people I love.

I put the picture on the post because it reminds me of how I feel. I'm locked in their webs and really don't want free. Oh well.

I gotta go. Ask me to sing to a crowd of 20k and I can do it no problem. Ask me to write in prose about my feelings. Ain't gonna happen. And no, I won't share lyrics either.

I've got this secret...there's this woman I'm infatuated with. Have been for years. Seventeen to be exact. I can't get her out of my mind. I've never even kissed her, but damn...those legs, those eyes, and then there's her smile. I know she knows I exist, but isn't that a kick in the ass...she's not at all interested in me.

Oh, Wendi just informed me I should tell you who the hell I am. **Shrugs** The name's Tanner Connolly. I own my own construction business, Connolly Inc. We got the job to demolish the Mason Senior High School. Pity since it's a pretty building, all swirlys and flowers and stuff. But, it's falling apart. There's this awesome auditorium inside--box seats lining the room and a killer balcony. Actually, yeah, it's a killer since the floor is weak in spots and missing in others. I used to sit and watch all those boring musicals the drama kids put on just so I could see her.

Wondering who the 'her' in question is? Macy Shibley. She sat behind me in English class. Listened to my endless reasons why she NEEDED to listen to Pearl Jam and how football was the lifeblood of every man. Ok, so I was a jock. It happens. But I loved spending time with Mace. Granted we only ever spent time alone when football season wasn't in season and when the assholes I hung out with were busy doing whatever it was they did with their girlfriends. Hey, I never said I had the coolest friends.

Except Mace. She managed to stay in my brain for seventeen years now. But the fifteen year reunion is coming up. It's my chance to make the honey haired vixen mine.

If she'll have me. Yeah, I"m still working on my game plan.

Thoughts? Suggestions? I'm open to any advice.

Monday Moans ~ RACE TIME!!!

Wendi let me have the blog again because well, racing started this weekend. Yup. Irwindale had the Toyota All Star Showdown and in Daytona they had the Rolex 24. Now, I love me some Chevy muscle, and when I saw the new Camaro race car...yeah, I drooled worse than a sex-starved man in a nudie bar.

I mean, look at it.

Dayum. It screams 'look at me, love me'

I do.

But its also near my most and least favorite times of the year. Favorite? Nascar season starts in about three weeks. I miss screaming around the track at 150+ mph.
Least favorite? Valentine's day. Why? Because the woman I love doesn't want a whole lot to do with me. It's my own damn fault. You probably remember me and Megan. She's one in a million. Hopefully my contract situation will be worked out soon and I can get back on track.

Hopefully.

Friday Flirts - Last Post of 2010...

No it's not the last post of my blogging career. (I hope you aren't sad about that.)

But it is the last blog post of 2010 for me. Sniffle, sniffle.

So for my final post (of '10), I'm going to leave you with a yummy pic and a little update.

Update: I started working on the NASCAR novella I wrote over five years ago. Same characters, but slightly enhanced plot. If you've read Monday Moans, you've met the driver and the owner (hero and heroine). I'm really excited to get moving on this story and hope to sub it in early 2011.

I gave my high school reunion story to my CP and should get that back soon. I have no idea if it's even near submission ready. Guess I'll find out. But it's a favorite (aren't they all), so I'll give it my best when I get it back.

I'm going to finish my menage story this coming month. I've put my mind to it.

What the Wednesdays - Christmas Cookies!!!!

My what the Wednesday is about Christmas Cookies. You're probably wondering why I'd complain about something wonderful, like cookies. I'm confused about it, too. I love Christmas cookies. Can't wait for the season because--duh--there are cookies.

Sprinkles, colored frosting, chocolate. Yeah, there's lots to sample and even better places to eat cookies off of. Don't give me that look. I know you've considered licking the sprinkles off someone's chest after eating cookies. And if you haven't--you should try. It's fun.

My what the? is the subsequent guilt. Duh. We have all these wonderful commercials reminding the public at large to restrict our diets and watch what we eat. I agree to an extent. Eat everything, but in moderation. Makes perfect sense. I adhere to this theory. But man oh man, does there have to be so many yummy cookies to try? Boggles the mind.

Oh well. Never let it be said I didn't eat, drink, be merry. (And if you ask Sandy Sullivan just how merry I can be, I'll lie. Yes, I'll fib right through my teeth.)

Here's to a Happy New Year full of cookies and good cheer. Sorry, didn't mean to get crumbs all over everything. No, I lied. I'll be in the corner licking the crumbs...off him.
