After walking away from him years ago, will she have the strength do it again - and will he let her?
As an operative for the Triumvirate, Jaecar was used to hunting Rogues and investigating crimes against his kind. When a murder of one of the Three rocks the entire community, he finds himself face to face with Verina, the woman who'd chosen her ambitions over him years before.
Rina had worked her entire life for one thing, to become a member of the Triumvirate. Now, the very event that secured her position within the Three brought the man she'd loved - and left - back into her life.
When it becomes clear that Rina, and the other members of the Triumvirate, are in danger, Jaecar's mission is to keep Rina safe and catch a murderer. He is determined not to fall under her spell again, knowing she will always choose her career, but can he deny the feelings he still has for her?
Is being in the Triumvirate enough to fill the emptiness Rina has felt ever since walking away from Jaecar? Especially after being in his arms again?
As I said above, I loved Jae in the first story. He made me laugh with his tendency to be right there when he wasn't always wanted. And I have to admit, I kinda wanted to see him get it on with Sarah and Fen. A girl can dream. But what I will say is Ms. Jarman totally upped the ante with this story. Not only do I want to know what will happen next, but I want to know who gets paired up next. Yeah, I'm that involved.
The writing flowed well and I felt like I was right there in their heads as Jae and Rina sifted through their feelings for each other. This book made for a great little escape. I happily turned pages dying to see what would happen next and how Jae and Rina would deal. I absolutely loved Silas (I'm hoping he gets his story very soon...wink, wink) The poor kid, though don't let him hear you say that, cracked me up with his eagerness and, yeah, he was green. I loved it.
If you want a story guaranteed to pull you in from page one, then you need to read Have Me, Hold Me. It's a winner.

You are such a sweetheart! I'm so glad you enjoyed Have Me, Hold Me.
I will tell you that yes, Silas is getting his own story. That kid is firmly entrenched in my mind now. Those secondary characters are sneaky that way. :)
Hugs!
YAY! I'm so glad to get to see Silas again. Love him!!!
