New Beginnings and Blisse Bunnies!!

It's time for new beginnings! Those wonderful second chances that make life exciting and fun. Plus, Blisse Bunnies are so cute! I'm glad to be part of the hop. Click here to read the other posts and find the rest of the bunnies! Read the excerpt below and make sure you count up the bunnies. Could be one, could be more. But read on.

New beginnings and second chances are both integral to Best I Ever Had. There are three people who've been through a dangerous situation. It's what they do afterwards that is the turning point. Here, read on.

The objective—keep her safe. No one said anything about falling in love.
Available here

All she wanted was a pint of ice cream, not to be a witness to a double murder. Good thing Emma’s got not one, but two, sexy men willing to keep her safe. As long as she can keep her hands to herself.
Sam’s mission? To find the man responsible for the murder. He’s not going to rest until the streets are safe, even if it means having his best friend guard his best girl. It’s the best option, right?
Quint never dreamed he’d be attracted to his best friend’s lover…and his best friend. He’s got to keep his hands to himself all while figuring out what he wants from life, even if love equals Emma and Sam in Quint’s bed.
Is love in the cards or are they going to go up in flames before they get started?
Available here!

Have an excerpt:

Emma shrugged out of his shirt. The brisk air in the bedroom kissed her dewy skin. She fumbled with the zipper on her shorts. Sam grasped the frayed edge of her shorts and pulled. The scream of ripping denim ricocheted through the room. “No bottoms?” Sam crawled along her body and planted his knees on either side of her hips. He cupped her chin and nibbled her ear. “You shaved.”

Emma threaded one arm around his neck and spoke against his lips. “I like being bare.”

“I like you bare.” He took both her hands in one of his and arranged her on the bed. “You’re so wet.” His gaze seared her. “For me.”

“Sam?” Her heart pounded. “Make love to me, Sam. With Quint watching.” She held her breath. She’d known about Sam and Quint’s involvement for quite a while and she liked Quint. More than she should’ve. He’d hovered in her life for the past six months and become a fixture in most things she did. With him out of the room, things felt off. Yes, she loved her husband, but she loved Quint, too.

“I want Quint to watch,” she whispered. “I do.”

“Quint?” Sam dragged his fingers over her pussy lips. “You’re sure?”

“More than ever. He’s your lover, too. Why would I count him out?” The more she talked out what she wanted, the stronger she sounded. Being honest with herself and Sam comforted her.

“Em?” Worry and confusion shone in Sam’s eyes. “When? How? We were cautious.”

“Yes, you were, but even cautious gets people into trouble.” She arched her back, showcasing her breasts. “You started this fire. Don’t let it burn out. Have him come in here or finish me yourself.”

“Quint,” Sam shouted. “Quint?”

The door creaked and footsteps padded on the floor. Quint appeared over Sam’s shoulder. “You rang?”
“Pull up a chair.” Sam kept his gaze fixed on her and rubbed his cheek along her inner thigh. “Enjoy the show.”

After he exchanged glances with her, Quint eased the rest of the way into the room. “Thank you, Jesus.” He sank down in the beat up armchair. One hand palmed his crotch while the other hand gripped the arm of the chair. “About damn time. I have permission?”

“You have mine.” Emma licked her lips. This was real. Him, Sam, all of it. Her breath lodged fast in her throat. Their first time all together and she wouldn’t change a minute of it so far.

“Do you like having him here?” Sam flattened his tongue along her sensitive skin, grazing his teeth over her labia. “Like knowing he’s hard right now? Like me tasting you?”

“Yes, yes, yes,” she managed. Sparks shot from her clit to her lower belly and bounced to her brain. The sensation overload overwhelmed her. “Feels good when you stroke me down there. It tingles.”
“Fuck. So soft. Silky.” Sam palmed her breast and tweaked the nipple until she cried out.

“You’re mine.” He scooted off the bed and pressed her legs open. “Mine.”

“God, that’s hot.” The click of Quint’s zipper caught her attention. “Love this.”

“Our girl is hot as hell.”

The objective—keep her safe. No one said anything about falling in love.

Available here or here!

And now for those ten hot lines!

“Did you hear something?” she asked.
“No one’s here but you and me.” He nodded to the dining room table. “You heard the newspaper. Breeze caught it.” He stood then crossed the room to where she waited. “Going to use that on the patio? You do realize someone will see you sooner or later.”
“I’m not worried about someone seeing me. The balcony walls are high enough. They might hear me, but unless you’re coming out to give me a hand, I’m on my own.”
“You never asked.” Quint touched her cheek. “The three of us could have the best times. All you have to do is say the word.” He brushed his thumb across her bottom lip then strolled back to his position on the couch.
Emma tipped her head and mulled over Quint’s words. He wanted to fool around?

Race Quotes of the Week

This week the circuit moved to California. I tend to dislike the bigger tracks if only because the cars get rather strung out and it's not as...exciting. This week? This ending? Holy crap! Okay, okay... here are the quotes and I'm including my "Doozy of the Week" at the end. Yes, there was a doozy!

“...On the bottom, he looks for grip and drive off the bottom...”
He’s spending a LOT of time on the bottom. Well, we know his preference.

“...Pickin’ them up and layin’ them down...”
Rough play. Nice.

“...So loose I can barely hold on to it...”
A little less baby oil might be a good thing.

“...A rim shot there...”
But he liked it.

“...Tight in the front but aero loose...”
Ooh! He really gets into his play!

And now for the Doozy of the Week:

"...four poles for him..."

Nice.

Enjoy and stay tuned. There's always more where these came from. Grin.

Set Ablaze with Morticia Knight!!!

I want to thank Wendi for allowing me to be at her blog today. I’ve had an awesome week. My new MM firefighter release, Set Ablaze, made the Bestseller list at All Romance today, so I’m very excited about that. It is also doing great at Amazon, and it just came out Monday. The numbers are wonderful, but that isn’t the only reason it makes me happy. This particular release means a lot to me.

My very best friend in the whole universe, and the person I live with, is a gay man. We’ve lived together for almost seven years, and I’ve experienced many of his ups and downs, know his past intimately, and we’ve shared our own trials and tribulations. When I decided to start writing GLBT themed romance, he was thrilled. He has been here with me from the beginning, and is a fantastic support system, as well as a source that I can turn to for accuracy. His experiences, as well as other experiences in my life, helped inform the intense emotional moments in this story.

I won’t get super intense with you today though, so I’ve chosen a racier moment from the book to share. Because love and romance makes all of the trials in life worth it, right? Set Ablaze is set in Mesa, Arizona, and tells the story of Tom, a young firefighter starting over in a new town, and Eric, the older Fire Chief coming out after twenty years of marriage. This is the scene where Tom accidentally walks in on Eric and catches him with his…well I’ll let you read and find out.

From “Set Ablaze”, available now from Total E Bound Publishing

It was ten p.m. when he arrived at the station, and his pulse quickened a little when he saw the light still on in the chief’s office as he pulled in the driveway. If he kept driving past the garage where the engines were kept and parked by the sleeping quarters, the office would be completely obscured from any of the guys on shift—even if they went outside for a smoke. Tom noticed a tan Ford Bronco parked at the end where the office was. That must be the chief’s ride. Exactly what he would have pictured him in.
Tom was about to continue pulling all the way in, when he thought of something. Maybe he could just drop in and thank Eric again for the opportunity. Who knew when else he might be able to see him without anyone else around?
Stupid. It’s late at night, I’m sure he doesn’t want to be bothered.
Tom sat there letting the car idle while he wrestled with his gut instinct—the one that was telling him it was a bad idea. Then a wonderful realisation hit him—he’d promised the chief he would drop off a copy of his most recent physical as he was stuttering and bumbling out of his office earlier. Tom put the car in park, and jumped out. He opened the back lift gate, and rummaged around for the paper he’d brought with him.
Yeah, it was still a little weird, but he could at least say that he’d seen the light on, and thought it would be easiest for him to drop it off on his way in to his shift. His heart thumping in his chest, Tom grabbed the document, parked his car properly, and started to walk towards the office door, surprised to note that his legs actually felt a little shaky.
I must be more tired than I realised, that’s all.
He reached the door to the building, and it was unlocked, so he went ahead and pulled it open. The waiting area and Keri’s office were completely dark, but there was a sliver of light coming from the partially opened door to the chief’s office. He heard a groan.
Oh shit, is he okay?
Tom ran forward and was about to burst into the office when he heard another voice, a younger male one.
“Oh yeah, you like that, don’t you, Mr Anderson? You like it when I squeeze your cock and play with the tip like that, don’t you? You see—you need me. I’m going to show you how much more you need me when I lick your balls and then suck the juice right out of your fucking huge cock. Here I come, baby…”
Tom heard an even louder groan, and Chief Anderson’s voice, “Oh God, Brad, I can’t believe how good that feels. But I…”
“You want me to stop? Is that it? Okay, if you don’t need my tongue doing this to you…”
Tom heard a whimper.
“Or this…”
What is he doing? What is he doing?
Tom was bombarded with a flurry of emotions—surprise, lust, jealousy, curiosity. He didn’t know what to do. God, the chief wasn’t straight after all. But if Tom got caught… He was so curious, but he didn’t dare creep any farther. He should just leave that very second.
The chief moaned some more, and Tom could tell the man was nearing climax. Christ, if he didn’t get out of there soon, he would be too. He’d need to get his boner to go down before he could even head over to start work. What a night! Tom turned around to leave, and bumped his leg against the magazine table. Without thinking, he cried out.
“Who’s there?”

Rites of Spring with Jenna and Drake!

Rites of spring and all about firsts. Grin. My story, One More Night doesn't have a lot of first, but the characters do. Okay, most of them happen before the story, but you have to start somewhere. In the case of Drake and Jenna, they get a first time in the form of a second chance. Sometimes we don't get those second chances we want so badly to have. They do and what they do with it is so sexy. Here's a snippet:

“Drake?”
He dropped his arms and sighed. “Jen, I’m tired. I’m too old to play games, too fucked up to chase you. I don’t think I could if I wanted to. Say what you need to say.” Gritting his teeth, he hoped she hadn’t heard the fucked up part. Scars and mangled limbs aside, he hated being less of a man in her eyes.
“I never imagined things would be this way.” She picked at the hem of her dress and didn’t look at him. “For as much as I wanted to erase the past, you’re the one thing I can’t let go of.” Jenna straightened her shoulders and met his gaze. “I’m struggling to admit what I want, but I know I really do want that second chance. Madame Eve’s idea to put us together on this date wasn’t so crazy after all.”
“You want this one-night stand to keep going?”
“I do.”
His heart skipped a beat. He had her for the moment. Would she be strong enough to accept the changes in his life? Accept him fully? One thought came to mind—hope.

He's doing a first by giving her the second chance and she's taking advantage of a first--accepting who she is and what she needs. It seems like it would be simple--accepting who you are, but for some, it's really hard. That's how it is for Jenna. Her kink might not be as extreme as some kinks, but it can still be hard to understand. I hope you'll come along with Drake, Jenna, and me on this journey!

Here's a little bit more about the book:

One More Night

A 1Night Stand Story

Three years ago, Jenna ran away from what should have been the best night of her life. Letting her fear and shame get in the way of true happiness has haunted her ever since. It’s time to move on and put the past behind her. A date through the 1Night Stand service is the perfect opportunity to start living life again.

When the love of his life slipped through his fingers, Drake hated to let her go. A near-death accident prevented him from going after her. But after three years of recovery and waiting, he’s ready to take back what’s his, and he’ll do whatever it takes to keep her from running again.

Can Madame Eve work a miracle or will love lose out to pride and fear?

Ten Line Tuesday!!

It's time for Ten Line Tuesday and I didn't want this week to pass without mentioning my newest release, Best I Ever Had. You might remember this started out as a free read over at Whipped Cream Reviews. I expanded the book and found some great surprises along the way. Check it out! Here's a little bit about the book:

The objective—keep her safe. No one said anything about falling in love.

All she wanted was a pint of ice cream, not to be a witness to a double murder. Good thing Emma’s got not one, but two, sexy men willing to keep her safe. As long as she can keep her hands to herself.

He’s got to keep his hands to himself all while figuring out what he wants from life, even if love equals Emma and Sam in Quint’s bed.

Is love in the cards or are they going to go up in flames before they get started?

available here!

And now for those ten lines!

“It’s always hotter than hell right before the sun goes down.” Emma Rhodes tugged the hem of her tank top. No amount of shifting would get the air moving between her shirt and her body.

“I don’t want to be hot,” she muttered. “I don’t want to be in hiding, either.” She turned her back on the sliding doors. “Aren’t you tired of this, Quint? We live together because Sam wants to keep me safe. How crazy is that?”

“Em, it won’t be much longer. Trust Sam. I do.” Quinton Reynolds widened his stance at the front door. “He’s not here, but he does care. We won’t let anyone hurt you.”

“Thanks.” Emma threw her arms around him and rested her head on his chest. She loved Quint, but some days being alone with her roommate-slash-bodyguard sucked. She missed her husband, Sam.

“If you don’t behave, I’ll turn you over my knee and spank the sass out of you. Bet Sam would love to watch that,” he said with a wink and released her. “He’d watch and insist I make your ass nice and pink.”

Racing Quotes of the Week

Bristol Baby! There's always a lot of bumping and running...and paint left on the walls. Cut tires and smashed cars. Oh, and lots of goofy things said. Here's my offering for the race quotes of the week.

"...huge advantage to be in front..."
Yes, I can see where it might be. Less mess.

"...trying to do something up front..."
Like...get there? Or turn around so the second person gets a chance? Hmm....

"...that trio there, they are closing in..."
For? Again, you really should clarify. Or give pictures.

"...you can throw a blanket over first through seventh..."
Maybe they planned it that way. You never know. They might be cold.

"...gotta be able to work the bottom..."
Generally helps. Though a little action on top is good, too.

"...going side by side..."
Kinky.

And the last one:
"...has to lift and wait for an opening..."
Don't they all... don't they all....

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for next week from Auto Club Speedway!

Sunday Snog - Saturday Night Special!

So since it's Sunday and it's Snoggin' Time (woo hoo!!!), thought I'd use a kiss from my July novella, Saturday Night Special. Thanks to Victoria Blisse for having the Sunday Snogs. It's so much fun. Now... about that snog...

The book is called Saturday Night Special. Enjoy!!!

Blaine took a step back. Something happened between them, but fuck if he understood what. “Don’t tell me you came here for small talk. You hate making conversation for the sake of wasting time. What’s going on?” He touched her cheek. “You aren’t even smiling. What’s wrong?”

Her shoulders sagged and a tear slipped down her cheek. The old feelings rushed back into his heart. The longing, the need, wanting to make love to her until she screamed. God, he had it bad for her. He gathered her into his arms and stroked her hair. “Tell me who hurt you.”

Mallory stared up at him. “No one hurt me.” She wiped her face with the back of her hand, smearing her mascara. Instead of scrambling for a tissue to fix the damage, she continued staring at him. “I had a plan when I came here. And now it’s all fucked up.”

“Oh?” He brushed a lock of her hair off her forehead. “What was that?”

“This.” She threaded her arms around his neck and bounced on her toes to meet him for a kiss.

The blood rushed from his brain to his groin. He closed his eyes. She still tasted like honey and lemon. He swept his tongue over her lips and moaned when she gave him passage. He tangled his tongue with hers and held her tight to his chest. So soft and strong in his arms. Her light whimpers and the scratch of her nails on his back added to his pleasure. He drifted away, lost in the kiss, drunk on her and in total bliss. If he had more time, he’d throw her over his shoulder and take her into the camper bay of the hauler to have his way with her.

“Thought I’d find you here.”

Blaine opened his eyes. Mallory hadn’t broken the kiss. She mirrored his surprise. She slipped away from him and swiped her tongue across her bottom lip. Blaine held onto her and turned his attention to the interloper.

Sunburn with Rosanna Leo!

I’d like to offer a huge thank you to Wendi for allowing me to appear today. I’m really excited to be here!
I’m here to tell you a bit about my newest paranormal erotic romance  Sunburn, but also to chat a bit about the whole plotter vs. panster dilemma. Have you heard of this? Any author will hear these terms and probably roll her eyes because she identifies with one or the other.
Now, a plotter is what I would dearly love to be. However, my brain is not capable of rational, logical thought. It wanders, and so despite my valiant attempts, I am somewhat of a punster.
A plotter plots out her novel in advance, much like a traveler plots out her route. She likes to know where she’s headed, and what she’ll see when she gets there.
A pantster likes to make it up as she goes along, hopefully enjoying the journey, keeping the plotlines fluid and open.
For the most part, I tend to fall into the latter category although I do like to have an overall idea of how the book will end. When I first put pen to paper, I don’t always know all my characters or conflicts. I know the main ones, but they others “show up” later.
Is this a good thing? Many writers swear by it and hate plotting it out. I am starting to get a little frustrated with being a pantster. There’s more stress involved, and although I’ve always worked well under pressure, sometimes it backfires and you have to do rewrites.
And yet each time I’ve attempted to write out complete plots ahead of time, they change. So I ask, what’s an annoyed pantster to do? Short of throwing my manuscript out the window.
I think the key is to blend the two schools of thought, using elements from both that will help. Plotting, while still remaining spontaneous. Sound good, right?
Sure. I’ll be over here in the corner mulling it over…pulling my hair out as I try to finish this next scene.

It's all good. We love the books, so we'll wait :-)

Here's a little bit about Sunburn:

Patience O’Conner is a travel blogger who lives for her work. Her dedication to her readers brings her to the famed Helios Resort in Mexico, a locale that stuns her with its beauty but at which she suffers from some very strange accidents.

Luckily, hunky resort bartender Apollo Delos is always there in the nick of time, a malcontent guardian angel. Apollo stuns Patience again and again with his life-saving
abilities, to say nothing of his smoldering looks and apparent desire to keep her alive.

Before long, Patience wonders if there is more to the sexy bartender than mixed cocktails and insane first-aid skills. Something strange is happening at Helios and Apollo doesn’t want to talk about it.

Can Patience open herself up to this enigmatic man, even though she is terrified to be vulnerable again? And can Apollo recover from an eternity of hurt and learn to trust once more? They must both decide before Death comes calling.

Sunburn Excerpt:

She approached the booth, only to find the blond bartender manning it. Her eyes almost
popped and she blurted, “You!”
He grinned, but there was still a tightness around his eyes, as if he were sizing her up.
“Hello, Patience.” His strained expression said volumes about what he considered to be
the unsuitability of her name.
She tried to ignore the sucker punch in her gut, the one that hit her as soon as his deep,
velvety voice caressed her eardrums. “Aren’t you supposed to be at the bar?”
His smile grew wider, showing off his perfect white teeth. “I’m everywhere.”
“Clearly.” She forced herself to look away from his gorgeous face, feeling light-headed
because of the suns dancing in her eyes, the suns that seemed to come from him. To
distract herself, she touched a few of the painted bowls on display. Not that it snuffed out
those blasted suns.
He stepped closer. “Do you see anything you like?”
She choked on her saliva and coughed like a victim of the Black Death. He rushed to
calm her, putting his hand on her back, massaging. She recovered upon feeling his touch
and was hit by the bizarre, fleeting notion his touch made her recover. As if he’d healed
her.
Utter nonsense. Yet as much as it was nonsense, her head swam with the bizarre
possibility.
“Better?” he asked quietly, his face serious now.
She stared into the man’s eyes. They were blue, so very blue. “Uh, yeah, thanks.”
Curiosity got the better of her and the question poured out. “What’s your name anyway?”
He breathed in. “Apollo Delos.”
“Oh, wow,” she said, breaking into a grin. “Just like Apolo Anton Ohno! I loved him on
Dancing with the Stars!”
He got a curious look and let out a strange laugh. “Yeah. Just like him.”
