I am saddened by Davy's passing. I have such fond memories my girlfriends and I going to a Monkees concert. We were in the nosebleed section(couldn't afford better tickets) and at 18 and 19 were probably the oldest ones there(not counting parents). The Beiber fans have nothing on us jumping and squealing with the best of them. I wonder what happened to my program? I guess it is reality check time, we are all mortal and will catch The Last Train to Clarksville or wherever sooner or later.
Yep. Well said. I went to see them at a rib cook off a few years ago. Was only Davy, Mickey and Peter, but it was still great. And yeah, there were more than a few women with a greys in the audience, but hey, Bieber fans don't have anything on Monkees fans. :-)
