What the? Wednesdays - Silly Catch Lines

I went on vacation. Yup, sure did. You wondered why the posts were a tad...thin? Hey, I can't come up with lots of witty things in advance. Sorry. Anyway, while I was on vacation, I saw a couple hilarious catch phrases and or silly signs.

"Work 'n' Woody"

Yes, my perverted mind so didn't take that as the little push car for the race cars. Nope. It was a-pushin' but not cars.

"Slick Woody's Corn Hole"

Come on. It's a corn hole business, but man oh man, my brain read something totally different into it. And if you aren't sure, corn hole is that game with two boards, elevated a bit with a hole in the middle of said board to throw corn filled bags (aka bean bags with corn) in them. Like horse shoes, kinda...

Just sounds...wrong...but I guess they have good food.

Reminded me of "Zack and Miri Make a Porno". I have friend named Gary and Kevin and since I haven't heard a whole heckuva lot from Kevin....they could be on a world tour.

Friday Flirts! A New Contract!

Remember the Ghost story I talked about? Heck, Ryan stopped by already to chatter about it (he loves to chatter). Well, with a little love, care, and lots of polish, I sent it in. I gave up talking about what I've subbed because, well, I hate redacting and I hate getting my own hopes up. So even tho I let him chatter, I really didn't say I'd subbed it.

My editor loved my concept and the story and contracted it! Careless Whisper will come out late February 2011. Cool, ain't it? I'm stoked. Squee!

Monday Moans

Wendi was part of a halloween hunt, and a guest blog, and pimped Megan and Kealie's stuff, as well as pimping Menagerie stuff (did you read that story...whew!) Then there's the excitement of halloween, cuz yanno, halloween is a lot of work and play.

So she's letting me talk...well, write. Anywho...the name's Rhett. Rhett Ione. I'm in the Air Force and my blood runs red, white, and blue. Or jet fuel. Either works. Give me a curvy woman--blondes are my poison--or a gun metal grey beaut, yanno, the kind that have props, jet engines, and mega fire power.

Want to know more about me? I love tats, but know when to keep them contained. Hey, I won't lie, I like women. Tall, short, curvy, blonde, brunette...ok, blondes are my poison, like I said, but guys can look.

Why am I here? Wendi invited me. Her book, You'll Think of Me comes out on November 22 and, you guessed it, I'm in the book. I love both Cade and Mel (not in that way, he'd kick my ass--for seeing him in that way and because if Cade thought I wanted to be with Mel in that way, I'd lose my nads. Hey, Cade's my boy, but his last deployment to Iraq was anything but fun. Yeah, I worry about him. But I know Mel is the one woman who is strong enough to deal with him and love him the way he needs.

Man...I hate when I get deep. Makes me all depressed. Damn.

Ok, I'm going back to doing something involving juggies and beer.
