I Wanna Rock and Roll All Nite....

Okay, so that's sort of a silly title for the post, but it's about where I went this past weekend.

You guessed it. I went to the place rock built. It did. Really. Why? We wouldn't have a Rock Hall without Rock. Okay, so it's a little controversial because it's not all rock. Some of the acts are country and some are hip hop, but who cares? I don't.

I saw Johnny Cash's tour bus, John Lennon's glasses, Jimi Hendrix's couch and Janis Joplin's Porsche. Saw a huge exhibit on the Grateful Dead and a small one on Rick Nelson.

I wanted to watch the induction movies, but DH wanted to 'keep going'. Shrug. I've seen them, but it's still fun.

Dropped the Ball...But I Read a Book!

I usually have a Sunday Snog and a Suit Up Sunday Post up today. Usually.
Except life got out of hand (imagine that) and I'm still getting caught up. I wrote a little (very little) and totally forgot to set up posts. Yeah, crazy.

The allergies are acting up. The child has poison ivy on his PALMS. We attended a wedding (which was fun) and had a vacation. Got to see family we haven't seen in forever. Went to a dog-n-suds (haven't been to one of those in a long time) Got to see more racing. Dodged the poison ivy on the child. But I'm pooped. Holy cow. I swear going away requires a set period of recoup afterwards.

But I had some time where writing wasn't going to happen - too many eyes watching that really don't appreciate my having blue hair, much less writing 'those dirty books' - to I read. Yep, that's why the book cover is up there. I read Lesley-Ann Jones' book, Mercury. If you haven't figured out by now, I love Freddie. Wish he hadn't passed, even though he succeeded in doing what many have tried - he went out on top and has become a legend - not flaming out with a crash and burn. Started the book Friday and have 1/3 left. Love it. Why? It's not the end-all, be-all on Freddie. No one, short of Freddie himself could tell that, and even he'd be cagey about it. But it's intersting. There's more than just a bio here. It's like being there at the same time. I liked it. Hope to finish it tonight. :-)
