Three Weeks to Wed
by Ella Quinn

In the first book of her dazzling new series, bestselling author Ella Quinn introduces the soon-to-be
Earl and Countess of Worthington--lovers who have more in common than they yet know. The future promises to be far from boring…

Lady Grace Carpenter is ready to seize the day--or rather, the night--with the most compelling man she's ever known. Marriage would mean losing guardianship of her beloved siblings, and surely no sane gentleman will take on seven children not his own. But if she can have one anonymous tryst with Mattheus, Earl of Worthington, Grace will be content to live out the rest of her life as a spinster.

Matt had almost given up hope of finding a wife who could engage his mind as well as his body. And now this sensual, intelligent woman is offering herself to him. What could be more perfect? Except that after one wanton night, the mysterious Grace refuses to have anything to do with him. Amid the distractions of the Season he must convince her, one delicious encounter at a time, that no obstacle--or family--is too much for a man who's discovered his heart's desire…

"Oh, the tangled webs we weave…especially when our hearts are involved. Three Weeks to Wed is a delightfully heartwarming escape into the sparkling world of the Regency.  Ella Quinn weaves magic." --Cathy Maxwell, New York Times bestselling author

And now for an Excerpt!

There was much too much to accomplish before dinner for Grace to allow Worthington to disturb her so greatly. She gave herself a shake. Surely their meeting earlier was an aberration.

Grace sallied out to Bond Street followed by Harold to exchange the ribbon. She stepped out of the haberdasher’s and saw Worthington across the street engaged in conversation with another gentleman. For a moment, she stood, frozen to the pavement.

He stopped speaking and turned as if he could sense her presence. The next thing she knew he had stepped purposefully into the busy street. A coach driver shouted, bringing his vehicle to a halt, and blocked her view of him.

This could not be happening. She was not prepared to speak to him. Not yet. “Harold, oh my, look at the time, we must return home immediately.”

She hurriedly turned down a little-used alley leading to Bruton Street.

The footman trotted to catch up to her. “My lady, why are we going this way?”

Grace faced straight ahead. “This was the shortcut, was it not? Ah, see, here is Bruton Street now, so much quicker than the other way.”

She stared straight ahead, not slowing to see if Worthington was following.

After striding swiftly down the pavement to pass a group of ladies, she slowed her pace and continued on calmly down the street until they came to the cross leading back to Berkeley Square.

As soon as she attained her room, Grace took off her hat and fell into a chair. Her heart was pounding, again. She was going to have apoplexy at this rate. How was she to avoid him for the rest of the Season?

Coming Soon ~ Hints of Hot Pink by Cheryl Oblon

I can't wait to get my hands on this book. I loved DIY Dolls, book 1, Sunflower Touches. This one looks awesome. :-) Check it out!
Hints of Hot Pink by Cheryl Oblon
Contemporary, YA
231 pages
When two worlds collide, there will always be fallout. Blending two families with cultural and economic differences is a headache.
We moved to a nicer town, and some of the people from my old neighborhood don’t like that. Then again, I’d prefer distance from a few in my past. A criminal ex of my cousin made a lot of trouble for me and one of my stepsisters.
That was all I needed while I was getting used to my new stepdad and sisters. But Chloe and I were off to a good start. We were actually friends and starting to make plans for our senior year of high school.
Then life comes and tosses crap in my face.
The death of my favorite uncle is bad enough. He was the only stable man in my life before my stepdad. Now, that criminal, or one of his minions, is cyber stalking me. The whole thing is way beyond awkward.
But the worst is my real Dad turning up and unleashing nearly seventeen years’ worth of my pain and pent up rage during my sisters’ quinceaƱera. My bio dad wasn’t reliable or secure like my stepdad. Bio dad stopped coming around when I was seven. Is he after money, attention, or something genuine?
Whatever it is—he’ll have to go through me before he hurts my mom or sisters, again. Good guys are few and far between, but I’d rather wait forever than settle!

WAY TO GO
by Mandy Colton

Way to Go:

Veronica Lane works in the travel industry in her dream job when she experiences a hellish travel day ending in the loss of her job and stranded far from home. To make the situation even worse, she drowns her sorrows in the hotel bar, and wakes the next morning to a big surprise.

Gathering up the remains of her dignity along with her travel bags, she returns to her hometown in Peachtree City, Georgia. A community similar to a progressive Mayberry, except with golf cart paths and carts. A lot of them. Her family is kooky. The parents are sexually free and liberal, her brother is a golf cart cop with more good looks and brawn than brains. Her grandparents, one from each side, live in the same retirement community and maintain a constant battle while entertaining the other senior citizens. The Grandmother on her dad's side is stuck in the 1960’s, and the Grandfather on her mother's side served in WWII and thinks that the Japanese are still trying to kill him.

She calls inquiring about a job in the newspaper, a group escort for a small tour company in Atlanta. She is hired immediately and leaves the next day with her first group to Jamaica. First, she meets a handsome pilot with the charter airline they use, and then there is one unusual group participant that doesn’t seem to belong. He leaves the group for periods of time and when things happen, he uses MacGyver like skills to get them out of the situations. She is aggravated and knows something is fishy and the bad thing is, the man is very charismatic and she’s not just a little attracted to him.

Upon their return, she finds out that the man is friends with her rather unconventional boss and after a second unusual group excursion to Puerto Rico; she knows for sure that the little tour company in Atlanta is not really what it seems on the outside. When the truth is revealed, she finds herself unintentionally dropped into a new career that she can't exactly add to her resume.

Veronica finds herself in uncomfortable and hilarious situations, surrounded by crazy tour participants, family, friends, neighbors, and pets. After a long dry spell, she finds that there is suddenly an overabundance of romance, drama, and intrigue in her life. Her life is now a sometimes very bumpy, yet exciting ride.

Way to Roll

Secure your seat belt and get ready for another bumpy ride.

Veronica Lane never considered her life dull as a single woman working in the travel industry as a sales representative—not until one bad day ends in the loss of her dream job, and desperation leads her to Cavalcade Tours. The fun quickly turns into chaos and eyebrow-raising questions. Disaster leads to a shocking revelation leaving Veronica disgruntled and unsure if she has what it takes to begin a whole new career.

Some time away, deep thought, and her own misadventures have her gathering up the remains of her dignity and returning to her job with its interesting group of colorful and charismatic cohorts...with one big change. She’ll no longer just be a tour escort this time. Milton Porter, the owner of Cavalcade Tours, owns another company with secrets.

With her mind made up, new skills, passport in hand, and her bags packed, Veronica is ready to roll out for new destinations. Things get hairy as she tackles the dual roles her new job demands, dodging wild animals, nasty foes, and sometimes even the new men in her life.

Surrounded by kooky tourists, Veronica’s adventures place her in some dramatic and hilarious situations, and each return home to Peachtree City, Georgia has its own drama with her family of oddballs, nutty bunch of friends, and their pets. Her new life is sometimes bumpy and filled with turbulence, but it stays an intriguing and exciting ride.

And now for an excerpt:

When Nash came back, he was naked, having shed his own wet clothes, and he was carrying a tray full of food.

That made me giggle. I pointed at his man parts. “Ha! A naked waiter. That’s pretty hot. I wanna place my order right now.”

He snickered and sat down in the floor next to the tub with the tray and began spooning me soup. That’s when I got a really good look at him in the light. He was almost blue!

“Nash?”

“Yeah, kitten.”

I giggled again. “You look like a Smurf.”

He laughed. “So do you. We’re working on that.”

He fed me another bite of soup.

“You have to take some bites too,” I said touching his cold face.

He did and then smiled at me, and we continued to eat until the food was gone. He set the tray aside and then warmed up the water, stepping into the tub behind me and wrapped his arms around me.

“We did it, and we’re safe now, right?”

“Yes, we did, and we are safe.”

Feeling warmer, I was really getting drowsy again, thinking about the way he always seemed to come through and save us, keeping me and others around him safe. The sweet way he took care of me. The thoughts were giving me the warm fuzzies again. I picked up the hand on my stomach and grazed his fingers with my lips. Without thinking, I whispered, “Nash, I really love you.”

His body instantly tensed and minutes went by. Then he finally said in a very monotone voice, “Let’s get out of the tub and go to bed.”

I became more alert as we dried off, and when we crawled into the bed, he put his arm around me, but that was it. It was only a double bed and the cover was thin making me feel like the gesture had been made more out of necessity than affection. He never said a word, he never touched me further, and I felt the uncomfortable void that had suddenly grown between us like the Grand Canyon. And there was definitely emotional distance involved, he didn’t desire me anymore. When Nash was this close, he was always aroused. Not so tonight. It was what I’d said in the bathtub. I hadn’t really meant to say those words, meaning that I…that I really… I sighed. Fudge. They’d just sort of tumbled out and were hanging there for those awkward moments, and now something had changed in Nash. Guess I knew a sure fire way now how to repel him. Mentally and physically exhausted, I closed my eyes and quickly fell asleep.

Nash was up early and had already reported to WIC, and uploaded photos, and a map of the militia location. He had called the lady at the front desk about our wet clothes, and she’d been nice enough to stop by the room and take them for laundering. There wasn’t much we could do about our leather boots and jackets, as they were pretty much ruined. Nash gave the nice lady at the motel a generous tip, and thanked her for all she’d done for us when we left. We headed out, stopped quickly for some food, and moved on toward Crater Lake.

Nash had been unusually quiet all morning. He’d been polite, but curt, and avoided eye contact. It had stung the first time I put my arms around him on the bike and he’d gone nearly rigid like he couldn’t bear my touch. I was left with no doubts about how he felt regarding emotional ties, and I really wished that we could just go home now that we’d completed the mission. The rest of this trip was going to be miserably uncomfortable.

We caught up with the group at Crater Lake at the end of their hike. They were heading to a natural hot spring to soak, relax, and have some beers before dinner. Nash went with them, and I told Jemah to wake me to help with dinner and then headed to the coach for a nap. A while later, when I woke up and stepped off the coach, I noticed that the motorcycle was gone. Damn, the company I worked for had connections.

Nash set up his tent and sleeping bag for me that night, but he never joined me. He was up early, had breakfast with other tour members, and at the next coach stop, he disappeared. Although I wasn’t really surprised, it still hurt that he’d left without saying goodbye again.

The next two nights and days passed quickly. It had helped that I was in a mindless fog most of the time. We toured the caves of Lava Beds National Monument, a place where the U.S. Army and the Modoc Indians faced off at Captain Jack’s stronghold, and then Lassen National Park, currently a quiet volcano. The park had enough cracks in the earth and thermal activity to make the average man nervous and excite a volcanologist. Was supposed to be one of the wonders of the world. Made you wonder when it was really going to blow its stack again and hope you didn’t happen to be the dodo standing in the middle of it like we’d been.

Regarding blowing stacks… We had one more moment of excitement during the tour, and it came in a surprising form the last morning of the trip. I hadn’t slept much since Nash had left and was up early, had already showered and even helped in the breakfast line. Nash surprised the heck out of me and walked off the coach during breakfast, turning to give me a slight smile. I couldn’t believe he wasn’t already back in Atlanta. TI

This camp had a nice shower house, and Jemah donned her vintage swim cap again and headed that way after breakfast with her clothes and big scrub brush in hand while the rest of us finished cleaning up.

We had packed up the coach, and I was sitting at a picnic table talking to a few members of the group when we heard a hair-raising, high-pitched shrieking, followed by a sound like a squealing pig on the move. The door slammed open on the bathhouse, and out blasted a dripping wet and au naturel Jemimah, who was moving like the Roadrunner similar to that day after the bear encounter, scrub brush still in hand. We watched her squeal all the way to the coach and hop all three steps at one time like a mad bullfrog. Right before that door slammed shut, we heard a male scream, and Sully’s face appeared, plastered against the door window, looking freaked out with mouth agape. Suddenly, the door opened and he tumbled out onto the ground with a grunt, and then the door slammed shut again behind him. He just sat there on the ground, dazed and blinking, kind of like he was in shock.

After the rest of us had recovered from our own shock at that scene, some of the guys at the picnic table actually formed a plan and donned weapons and gloves to go in the bathhouse like they were expecting to find a killer or rapist like in the slasher flicks. They grabbed a cooking fork, a chopping knife, some big sticks, and a hammer and went to investigate. They came out several minutes later with Jemah’s clothes, howling with laughter. The only thing that they’d found was a tiny little deer mouse with a litter of babies.

Later, when we asked Jemah about it, she swore that it had raised up and tried to attack her like a momma bear with cubs. Poor Sully grumbled that his eyes burned and his butt was bruised for the first fifty miles heading back to Frisco. Nash pretty much stayed clear of me during the trip back

Out Now ~ Sunflower Touches by Cheryl Oblon

I love this book and am so glad I was able to read it already. I hope you'll love it, too.
Here's a little bit about the book. Check it out!!

Sunflower Touches by Cheryl Oblon
YA, Contemporary
253 pages

One more Brady Bunch joke, and I swear I will ugly cry in the corner!
Dad took seven years after Mom died to find the right woman. My stepmom is nice. I have no complaints but one. Like Dad, she has three daughters. If math is your defect, that’s six teenage girls in one house.
At least, we have a new house, but we also have a forced bonding project. It’s not a camping weekend—that’d be lame, but short. We have to share our craft and creative skills as a group to help each other with stuff. That’s what I get for offering to help with decorating this drab house. Even worse, it has to be recorded for the parents.
Add that to school, boys, friends, and our own stuff…when am I supposed to have any fun? I’m glad Dad is happy, but the sister explosion was never in the plan. I’m the oldest. I’m hoping a stepmom will free me from being mini mom. Maybe I’ll find the freedom to pursue my art, spend time with some interesting guys, and enjoy what’s left of high school.

The Honeydripper Affair
by Joanna Kidson

She should never have met up with Ryan, that’s for sure.

You see, Lucy Nevin has got something that people are willing to kill for - she just doesn't know it....yet.

Handing Ryan the notebook threw the killers off her scent for a while but as Lucy uncovers more details about the death of her father, it becomes clear that this ruthless gang of criminals will stop at nothing to get what they want from her.

And then Dan shows up. Is that coincidence or by design? Either way, she’s now sucked into a deadly game between the killers, the armed forces and the government. They all think that Lucy has the code – the code that will give them control of the internet. The scary thing is; if you’ve ever used the internet, this is happening to you right now.

Trouble is - time is running out for Lucy and she needs answers. What exactly is the Honeydripper Affair?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
How about an excerpt? Sure! Here you go:
From Chapter Nine
Danny looked as though he knew this was coming. He leaned forward, resting his elbows on the table.
"Looking back, I should have acted differently, but at the time it seemed like the right thing to do. Everything happened so fast, I honestly thought it was best to get out of your life completely before I ruined it."
"Ruined it? Didn't you think that just leaving might have ruined it too?"
"I figured I was replaceable."
"That sounds like you're doing both of us a disservice."
"Do you remember telling me about how your mother left when you were younger?"
"Yes, I do. It's not a story I share very often," said Lucy, slightly confused.
"How she couldn't handle the way of life, the constant moving, the dangers of your father’s job. Well, that's what the future was looking like."
"But you could have asked me. Maybe I would have been okay with that."
"I had become a target, that means anyone close to me would have become a target too. That wasn't a particularly attractive lifestyle to offer anyone."
"A target?" Lucy asked. "But you work for local government - who's targeting you?"
"Local government is just a useful cover. I work for myself now. Call me an Intelligence Troubleshooter."
"Er...alright," Lucy said, deliberately leaving some space for him to fill.
"I provide information to the Ministry of Defence through a satellite agency."
"So, how does that make you a target?"
"Let's just say I'm a hands-on operator."
"So you're a secret agent," she said bluntly, with a slightly tongue in cheek smile.
"If you like, it's a bit different in the modern world."
"So basically, we've outsourced our spies!"
"Something like that. It's more convenient this way, less difficult questions when things go wrong. Much easier for the government to distance themselves."
"I still don't understand how you become a target?"
"When you're working out in the field you end up pretty close to the opposition. Sometimes it's a physical as well as a mental battle," Daniel explained.
"I didn't think that sort of thing really existed; you know, all that cloak and dagger stuff."
"It's unpredictable, that's for sure."
"I don't get why you didn't tell me all this before."
"It was all kicking off back then, everything was moving so fast. I was quite new to the whole way of life and I just didn't think it was safe to involve you."
"But you're telling me now," Lucy pointed out.
"Now you're involved directly. I've no real choice. It's ironic that the very thing that pushed me away has now pulled me back here."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

How about an Excerpt? Here you go:

JD escorted Gram to the car, and she entered the Italian restaurant on his arm. Casey walked behind the pair. Gram really seemed to enjoy herself, and it was obvious she was getting a kick out of parading around on JD’s arm. Heck, why not? Casey figured it had probably been a long time since Gram had such a good looking man, one who wasn’t gray, pay so much attention to her.

As for the other ogling females, Casey thought that they should get a load of him in his dress blues. That sight would have folks running for the defibrillators to restore the victims’ regular heartbeats. Casey decided she was in the safest spot, behind him and temporarily out of range of his piercing blue eyes. The small parade, led by the hostess, ended at a secluded corner table, which suited Casey just fine. While JD was occupied seating Gram as if he were the reincarnation of Sir Galahad, Casey positioned herself in the corner and tried to fade into the shadows of the dimly lit room.

 She wished she was able to relax and enjoy the evening, but she did not trust him. She was losing the daylong battle to subdue the tormenting ache behind her eyes as well as persistent nausea. Her order of minestrone soup and salad set both of her dinner companions on her case. Nibbling on a breadstick and sipping a warm cup of tea, she ignored them and surveyed the coming and going of diners.

Soup was served, and she felt that she had made an excellent choice: it was not disagreeing with her touchy stomach. She focused on her bowl and avoided eye contact as she listened to JD banter with Gram. Still, she could feel his eyes whenever they traveled her way and lingered. Hearing her name, she raised her eyes to meet two familiar faces.

Andy and Alice greeted Casey and her grandmother, who then introduced Jimmy.

Gram insisted that the couple join them. Casey moved over to the vacant chair next to Gram, leaving two unoccupied. Andy, no fool, seated Alice next to Casey, and placed himself between JD and Alice. Casey’s sense of humor kicked in at the obvious manipulation.

She was digging into the pocket on her sundress for her vibrating cell while the newcomers placed their order. Casey asked Gram if she wanted to speak with Millie.

“You know that I can’t hear on those contraptions. Just ask her what she wants.”

“She says she’ll pick you up at nine in the morning.”

“Tell her that I will be ready.” Gram waved her hand in dismissal.

Casey thought her grandmother’s hearing was getting worse. In addition to her lapses in memory, and her occasional bouts of believing Casey was still a child, Gram seemed to get confused and disorientated more lately. It was worrisome to Casey that getting her grandmother to a doctor’s office depended on her state of mind and mood when it was time to keep the appointment.

“Millie, she'll be ready, but there is a small snag. Gram has company from out of town. Do you have room for one more on the bus tour? Wonderful! I’ll pass on the good news. Oh, don’t worry, you'll like him, all the ladies do.”

“Okay, Gram you’re all set, and you are welcome to bring Jimmy along.” A small triumphant laugh escaped before she could squelch it. She didn’t look at him as she tucked her phone back into her pocket, but she could feel his blue eyes burning holes through her like two powerful lasers.

“Did you just book him a seat on a senior bus tour?” Alice whispered while covertly glancing at JD.

“Yep. Sure did,” she declared, and grinned at him when Alice broke out in a fit of giggles.

To that end, she hires David Wright, a talented landscaper with an unparalleled eye for beauty and an unparalleled talent for distracting her from her goal.

David really needs this job. He needs the contract, the Moore’s name on his portfolio, and the money to pay for his ailing father’s health. Everything he’s worked for is now within his grasp, and he’s going to reach for it with both hands. What he doesn’t need is the diversion, or the temptation, presented by his new boss.

Neither David nor Kate are free to follow their own desires, but they’re powerless to fight their growing attraction. But they come from very different places; perceptions will have to crash, misconceptions will have to collapse, and they will have to face their own personal challenges before they find their space to meet in the middle.

How about an interview with Charmaine? All right!! Let's go!

1. Describe yourself in three words.

OCD, happy, light-hearted

2. Cast your book. Tell us who would play the main characters in a movie and why.

Easy – Ryan Reynolds – have you seen the abs on that guy??!! My hero, David Wright has abs like that being a sweat-drenched landscaper. How could a girl keep her eyes off that kind of appeal?

My heroine, Kate Moore, is like Scarlett Johansson – sass, spice and beneath the girl-next-door looks, a woman who knowns what she wants. Plus she’s pretty sexy as well.

3. What’s your favorite love scene from a movie?

The Notebook will always be my favorite Nicholas Sparks adaptation, but The Longest Ride comes in pretty close. During the sex scene for the film, the couple moves from a room into the shower, and, if you've seen Scott Eastwood, you understand why this particular scene is amazing. Eastwood even admitted that he and his co-star Britt Robertson were completely naked while shooting the scene.

Have you seen Scott Eastwood? Man – he’s up there alongside Ryan Reynolds! Now if we had a mix between the two of them I’d be in seventh heaven.

4. What’s your wildest fantasy?

Being on a dessert island with Ryan Reynolds – have you seen the abs on that guy??!! – Seriously, I’d just like to go somewhere and not be wanted for a day or so. Hmm, maybe have a relaxing spa treatment, and a massage … Ryan – where are you? Seen Scott around, he can join in, too.

5. If you were to lose one of your senses, which would you rather lose and why?

Probably hearing- then I wouldn’t have to listen to the kids arguing or my husband not being able to find anything around the house. Maybe if he started putting things away, he’d know where they were. It really annoys me when people look for things with their voice instead of their eyes.

6. What is the naughtiest thing you did as a kid?

I spilt linseed oil on my father’s really expensive king sized billiard table. Oops. Well, I liked oil painting!

Now for the quickies...they're fast, sexy and fun!

Boxers or Briefs?

Top or Bottom?

Pajamas or nude?

Hairy chests or smooth?

Alpha or Beta?

And now for an excerpt:

His hand lifted to her hair, his fingertips brushed where some of the ends curled. It slipped around a finger and he watched the burnished strands in the light. There was gold and honey and shining browns, gleaming like silk.

She moved her head, just a little, but it was enough for his fingertips to graze her jaw. Silken skin slid beneath his touch. He traced the line of her jaw then his hand cupped her nape, her hair falling gloriously over his forearm.

He waited her for to move away, but her eyes found his and caressed him with a look he couldn’t deny. He bent his head, lips brushing hers. Her mouth yielded and he pressed more firmly against them, taking her lips between his, moulding his mouth to hers.

Slowly, so slowly, her hand settled on his shoulder, a touch so light he barely knew it was there. But he did and the hot coals inside his gut flickered into a flame. He opened his mouth, brushed her lips with the tip of his tongue, tracing the line of her lower lip.

She sank into him, her hand crawling behind his neck as her other hand found his upper arm. He wound his free hand behind her waist, anchoring her against him. Her soft breasts pushed against his chest, her heat infusing through their clothing.

Her mouth opened, tongue caressed tongue, before he plunged into the hot, honeyed centre of her mouth. She met him move for move, tilting her head to deepen the kiss, their mouths, lips, tongues igniting their own private dance.

His brain was clouding with need, insanely intense, as though he were climbing to a peak only she would quench. His senses were attuned to hers, his skin sensitive to her touch, the tangible weight of her body against his.

Then that little niggling voice broke through the misty realms of his mind. The fog cleared, an inner voice nagging him for … something. Some reason he couldn’t quite connect with. There was nothing he wanted more than this woman in his hands to feel, explore, taste. Then the voice became louder, irritating the sensuous web that caressed him.

A reason.

The voice harassed him, badgering away the misty recesses in his brain. Reason. Boss. She was … is … his boss. What, in hell, was he doing!

About the Author:

My first foray into romance was as a fourteen year old where I fell hopelessly and eternally

in love with my hero as only a teenager can. Instead of watching movies and staying up late, I would go to bed at eight thirty and continue my very romantic, very safe, love affair.

Since then, I have fallen in love with many heroes, some less safe than what my teenage brain could possibly imagine. After earning a Fine Art’s Degree, a Diploma of Secondary Education and a Diploma of Marketing, I worked as a Graphic Designer in various advertising agencies as well as in-house marketing roles and am currently involved with digital marketing and everything web in my current position. But I always return to writing.

Although I have travelled, I always return to my home town of Melbourne and live with my husband, two children and two cats in the ferny-greens of the Dandenongs. If I'm not working on my latest romance and falling in love with yet another hero, you’ll find me reading, watching and basically indulging in my addiction to any story on any media type I can get my fingers on.
