Tuesday in Toronto ~ A Guest Post with Giselle Renarde, Author of “Saturday on a Tuesday”

Thanks to Wendi for welcoming me as a guest! In case you don’t know me, my name is Giselle Renarde and I’m a contributor to a great anthology called Smut in the City. Smut in the City is full of erotic stories about (you guessed it!) encounters in “the city.”

Which city, you ask?

Some authors were inspired to write about the romance of cities they’d visited, but I’m not much of a traveller so I wrote about the city I live in. I wrote about Toronto. More than that, I wrote about people who live here, doing what many of them do: working long hours in glass towers.

Yes, I wrote about office workers. Why? Because when I think about the city, it’s business that comes to mind. Ducks’ feet kicking wildly and never quite managing to maintain slick operations.

My story “Saturday on a Tuesday” opens on overworked, underappreciated, middle-aged Gemma sitting in her office at eight in the evening, staring at the CN Tower. Until she gets up for another cup of coffee, she has no idea someone else is still at work.

Here, have an excerpt:

With her coffee cup in hand, Liddy slumped into one of the lunchroom chairs. “I can’t stand the thought of going home to an empty apartment.”

“I could come with you,” Gemma offered.

Liddy rolled her eyes and laughed, like she thought it was a joke. She took a sip of her coffee, and then stared into the mug in silence. “Can I tell you a secret?” “Absolutely!” Gemma abandoned the counter without a coffee. She didn’t need one anymore. She was electrified by the possibilities.

Biting her lip, Liddy traced the outlines of her plain white mug with one finger. She heaved a sigh. “My girlfriend left me. I had a girlfriend and… now she’s gone.” Gemma’s pussy throbbed in time with her racing heart. “I didn’t know you had a penchant for women.”

“Nobody knows.” Liddy bowed her head and her long hair feathered the sides of her coffee cup. “That was the problem, according to Sarah. She called me a Saturday Night Lesbian.”

“Oh yes,” Gemma agreed. “A woman who’s crazy for pussy on Saturday nights, but acts like she’s straight the rest of the week.”

Liddy’s eyes seemed so sad, but she smiled sweetly. “I’d never heard it before. Sarah had to tell me what it meant, and I was so hurt. She thought I was ashamed of myself, and ashamed of her.”

“Are you ashamed?”

***

Every Tuesday in Toronto can’t be full of hot, kinky lesbian bondage and office sex… but this one sure is!

Cheers,

Giselle

Within the Crumbling Walls ~ Lucy Felthouse

I've found that the longer I've been writing, the more I find inspiration in the strangest places. And sometimes the inspiration doesn't strike me until much later. My story in Smut in the City is a perfect example of this.

I went to Rome in May 2012 for the first time. I fully expected to come home with some ideas for stories, and given I needed to get my story written for Smut in the City when I got back, then that was perfect. What I wasn't expecting, however, was for the inspiration to come from the Colosseum. It's an absolutely awe-inspiring place, but it's so busy and crowded that getting up to anything sexy would grant you a large audience of onlookers and possibly some time spent in an Italian jail.

But, would you believe, a metal barrier and a sign gave me an idea. The whole structure is ancient and crumbling, but there's a particular part of it which is fenced off from the public as it is apparently more dangerous than the rest. And it's here that I set the sex scene from my story. My horny characters slipped past the warning barrier and had some kinky fun with thousands of people just feet away from them.

And voila, Within the Crumbling Walls was born. Now, I know my ideas are sparked by unusual things, but I think a metal barrier has got to be the strangest.

Within the Crumbling Walls
By Lucy Felthouse
Exiting the Colosseo Metro station, Libby shot a grin at her boyfriend, Ciaran. “I don’t think we’ll have any trouble finding it, do you?”
“Hmm?” Ciaran frowned, then turned his gaze in the direction that Libby was pointing. He gave a sheepish smile. “No, I don’t think we will. Shall we put the map away?”
Libby nodded, and Ciaran spun round so she should take the map and load it into his backpack. Zipping it back up, she patted it twice to signal she was done. Ciaran turned and held out his hand. She took it, and together they took their lives in their hands crossing the busy Roman road and walked to the Colosseum.
Despite the early hour, the queue was already considerable, and the couple exchanged a wry look. But then Libby remembered something. “Hey, don’t look so glum babe. We can skip the queue, remember?”
Ciaran frowned. “We can?”
Pulling a small credit card shaped and sized item from her pocket, she replied, “Yes! Our Roma cards mean we can get in quicker. That was one of the selling points the rep kept going on about when she was trying to flog them to us.”
Ciaran slapped his forehead theatrically, then retrieved his own card from his pocket. “Of course!” He used his not inconsiderable height to peer over the heads of the group in front of him. “Okay, I see it. There’s a separate line for Roma Pass holders, and it’s moving tons quicker. Hurrah!”
He made his way through the crowd, using a combination of touches on people’s backs and the words “excuse me.” Libby followed quickly in his wake. Soon they were at the back of the very short and swiftly-moving queue. People passed through, showing their cards to a very stern-looking Italian man, who nodded and pointed them towards another line.
This time they scanned their cards through some kind of barcode reader, and finally, they were in. Within the crumbling walls of the ancient Colosseum, probably the most famous landmark in Rome. Looking around, Libby could see why.
Photos and videos didn’t do it justice. She wasn’t sure if Colosseum translated to colossal or not, but it was certainly the most apt word to describe the place. It really was huge—and they hadn’t even seen the best part yet. Following Ciaran from the ticket booth area—which was literally within the great walls—they passed out into the open area in the middle. Libby gasped. It was amazing.
They were at ground level, with two or three levels above—she wasn’t sure which—and of course, the one below. Where the gladiators, warriors and fierce creatures would have been kept before being forced to fight in the arena.
Realising Ciaran was gaping at the sight before them too, she encouraged him forward. “Come on, we’re kind of in the way here.” Looking left, she saw an area which was fenced off and held warning signs urging the public not to enter. Libby snorted. The whole place was falling to pieces, how could they possibly deem one section more dangerous than another?
Shaking her head, she turned her attention to the right and saw an area which would allow them a better view of the arena floor. She grabbed Ciaran’s hand and pulled him with her.
Leaning on a barrier and looking out, Libby saw that arena “floor” was not an accurate description. At one end of the enormous structure, a wooden base had been erected, but the rest of the oval was open, displaying what lay beneath. It looked like a labyrinth, and suddenly she became aware of an English-speaking tour guide telling his group the history of the place. She eavesdropped for a while, then fell to thinking how lucky she was to have been born in this day and age. She’d never know anyone who’d be thrown to their deaths in such a place—or be forced to watch them killed in such a brutal manner.

Smut in the City with Tamsin Flowers!

Hi,

First off, I want to say a huge thank you to Wendi for inviting me onto her blog – it’s always a pleasure to visit other writer’s blogs and I hope she’ll soon make a return visit to mine.

Wendi and I both have stories in Smut in the City, a fabulous anthology brought together by Victoria Blisse and Luce Felthouse – and as you might have guessed, all the stories have an urban theme. Wendi’s story takes place in Cleveland in a sleek apartment overlooking the city. Mine is practically the opposite: the action takes place in London, below the streets in the London underground system.

Most Londoners would admit to a love-hate relationship with the Tube, as it’s affectionately known. It can speed you round the city in moments when the streets are a tangle of traffic jams. But rush hour on the Underground? It can be hell. Hot trains crowded with bodies, no chance of a seat, no air conditioning, and then you get stuck in a tunnel...

My story, however, takes place late at night when the trains are virtually empty. My heroine takes up the challenge, set by her friend, of finding and seducing someone during one lap of the Circle Line. So if you’re feeling a little fed up with your daily commute to work and furious with the New Year fare increases, read the excerpt below for a different take on London’s transport system. It’s not perfect but it can be fun if you let it...

Excerpt from Underground Encounter

As the train pulled out of the station, the boy’s eyes locked mine in a lingering gaze. I ran my tongue around the edge of my lips; those brown eyes were making me hungry. I’d found my target and from the way he was looking at me, I had a feeling that maybe things would work out. If he didn’t try and get out at the next stop...

His eyes slid down to the V-shape made by the collar of my coat, to the tiny crack of cleavage it showed. Self-consciously I put a hand to my neck, pulling at one side of the collar as I scratched an imaginary itch on my shoulder. His stare was unremitting, his eyes two limpid brown pools that were starting to play havoc with my breathing. I slowly looked away but my heart carried on pounding, almost loud enough for me to hear, and it was more than I could do to avert my eyes for long. His wide mouth, even unsmiling, drew my gaze back to his face.

Suddenly he leant forward with his elbows on his knees.

‘What’s your name?’ he asked softly.

His breath smelt pleasantly of alcohol and as I spoke I could see his tongue was stained dark from drinking red wine.

I leant forwards too, letting my coat fall open. His eyes dropped down to my breasts, sculpted to perfection in a black lace bustier Tina had leant me.

I put a finger across my lips.

‘Shhhhh...’

He nodded and swooped across to sit in the seat next to mine. Our eyes locked and I could feel sexual tension thickening the air between us. I looked around our end of the carriage: an elderly couple were sitting a few seats away from us and beyond them a pale, thin man, with receding hair, even though he didn’t look very old. None of them seemed to be taking any notice of us.

I put my hand on the boy’s thigh and was rewarded with a sharp intake of breath. His lips were moist and a sheen of sweat made his forehead glisten. Deep in my pussy a familiar flutter told me what was expected of me: I had to get part of this boy inside part of me. Soon.

The train stopped sharply and the doors opened.

A middle-aged woman with short grey hair got on and came and sat in the seat opposite us, the one my boy had just vacated.

I decided not to take any notice of her; after all, that was the whole point of the challenge, to see how far you could get in a public railway carriage. But as the train pulled away, the boy gave her a nervous glance. I wondered how old he was, even though it was something I wouldn’t ask in a million years.

To calm his nerves and my own, I let my hand slip further up his thigh, towards his groin, and at the same time I leaned across and kissed him softly on the lips. His hand immediately went to my shoulder to keep me there as he prolonged the kiss. His mouth encircled mine and I then felt his tongue gently, slowly, probing, inching its way between my lips. I felt a surge of heat between my legs and as I applied pressure to his warm thigh I heard a small, low groan deep in his throat. My tongue met his briefly and then I let my teeth catch his lower lip. His hand slipped from my shoulder to my rib cage, applying the gentlest of pressure through my coat to the side of my breast.

A loud, wholly unrealistic coughing from across the carriage distracted me from what I was doing and I felt the boy’s muscles go tense under my hand. I looked around to find the woman opposite glaring at me with a look of utter disdain.

Kate Hill is on the Hot Seat!

Today my friend Kate Hill is here and talking about her latest release, Black Cat. I can't wait to read the book. I also can't wait to get this interview started! Welcome Kate! Describe yourself in three words.

Stubborn. Forthright. Unconventional.

I love it! Cast your book.  Tell us who would play the main characters in a movie and why.

I’d prefer unknown actors if my books were made into movies. For Edmond someone soft spoken with blue eyes and strong features would work. He should be around average height, maybe a bit shorter, but someone with a lot of magnetism. For Tobias I’d want someone with a slender build who moves gracefully and has an androgynous appearance. His green eyes should be his strongest feature and he’d have to master a human version of “catitude.”

That's awesome. Unknowns would work great. I'd love to see the movie. :-) What’s your favorite love scene from a movie?

The love scenes in Role/Play are superb. They’re both hot and romantic.

Yes! What’s your wildest fantasy?

That’s a difficult one. All my fantasies end up in my books. It would probably involve something supernatural. Maybe an alien.

I'm not keen on aliens, unless they look like Gerard Butler. Grin. If you were to lose one of your senses, which would you rather lose and why?

My sense of humor? I don’t think I could choose for myself which physical sense I’d rather lose.

OOh! Good one. I love my sense of humor... What is the naughtiest thing you did as a kid?

Dirty magazines and dirty books. I guess I was always meant to write erotica.

Snicker. And it's soo much fun! And now for those wild and crazy questions... The Quickies!

Boxers or Briefs?
Boxers

Top or Bottom?
Versatile

Pajamas or nude?
Underwear

Hairy chests or smooth?
For men, I generally prefer hairy, although smooth can be nice too.

Alpha or Beta?
Alpha

And now a little about Kate's latest work!

The Guardian's Heart by Michel Prince and a Review!

THE GUARDIAN'S HEART By Michel Prince

Case Thomas is always in control whether its on the basketball court, the lab where he works, or in his love life. He thinks he has everything all figured out. All that changes when his parents pass away during his last year of college and Case is thrown into fatherhood when he becomes temporary guardian to two adorable twin toddlers. Weeks later, exhausted and running out of time, Case must decide if he's ready to become a father to these children, or give them up and move on with what's left of his life. Then he meets Gabbie Vaulst.

Gabbie is amazing with the kids, owns her own business, and has all the right curves in all the right places. She can tell Case is attracted to her, but does he really love her or is he just settling for a surrogate Mom who can wrangle his new kids? Knowing that she's falling in love with him, she chooses to push him away until his world straightens out. Can Case prove to Gabbie, and himself, that his feelings are real? Or is this sudden family too much for both of them to handle?

The odds, as well as members of their past who've come out of the woodwork, are against them, but when kids are involved, all bets are off.
Don't forget to comment! Michel will be awarding a heart necklace to a randomly drawn commenter during the tour! How cool! And if you want to follow the tour, click here!

And now for an excerpt:

A little part of her was praying for a kiss as his fingers wrapped around her loose hair, tucking it behind her ear. Gabbie began to tremble and licked her lips as Case took another step closer to her. Case leaned in when Charlie pulled on his pants.

“Up Ace. Up.”

“I just got cock blocked by a two year old.”

“I wouldn’t call it a full-on block.”

“You wouldn’t?”

“No.”

“This isn’t one sided?”

“Up…Bee,” Claire ordered.

“We need to leave now to get her to the doctor on time.”

“Life or death, huh?”

“It could be.”

Gabbie bent down to pick up Claire and saw a bulge in Case’s pants.

“You need a minute?”

“Yes please.”

Flattered at Case’s reaction to her, she took Charlie’s hand, snagged Case’s keys from his finger and walked out to get the kids in the car. Once locked in their car seats, Case came to the car.

“You want to follow in your car?”

“I walked. I live around the corner. Just let me turn on the security system and we’re off.”

When Gabbie came back outside she could hear Case talking to the kids because Claire’s window wasn’t closed.

“All I’m saying is cut me a little slack. You know how long it’s been since a girl…made me feel good. If I’m close to Gabbie…find a toy.”

“Bee’s a toy?” Claire asked with her hands turned palm up in confusion. “Bee not a toy?”

“I didn’t say Gabbie’s a toy I said…never mind.”

Now for that Review!
I'm as jaded as they come when the topic is romance reviews. I've read far and wide and few books grab me.

Then came this one.

I admit it. Kids in romance novels, especially those that are hotter in nature turns me off. Why? Kids are the product (in many cases) of the hot events, but I don't really want to know they are there. Let the hotness occur without kids.

This book is different.

Case, while flawed, is human and I could completely feel for him. He's in WAY over his head and well, he'd like love, too. I'm a mom and there are days when I don't feel sexy or appreciated. He gets that and I gleaned that from his actions. Great stuff. But I totally understood where Gabbie came from. Gee, the guy has kids and zeros in on her. I could see where she might have thought he had ulterior motives. If you haven't guessed, yeah, I was totally immersed in this book.

I liked the way Gabbie and Case played off each other and I wanted to see them get their just happy ever after. I laughed, cried, and wanted more. Yes, this is a book I won't forget. I just won't go into a lot of details and spoil it for you. What are you waiting for? Grab a copy! It's worth it.

Football Quote of the Week on Wednesday

Courtesy of: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File%3ADave_Zastudil_large.jpg

It's playoff time and bowl game time, so there won't be many football quotes left to get for a while. I've got another three weeks or so and I've got a handful saved up. Should get us through the middle of February...when NASCAR starts up!! YAY!

So here are the football quotes of the week:

"He squeezed it in there in the eight hole, but it worked..."

My... I didn't know there was an eight hole....

"...looked wide right, then stuffed it up the middle..."

My question, why did he have to look? Isn't it a man thing to just KNOW where to stuff it? Callin' 'em like I see 'em.

"...A good move by a veteran running back and he sticks it in..."

Another sticking and stuffing... geez. Someone will have a sore body part soon.

And the last one... this one is for the Roll Tide crowd. My OSU didn't make it to a Bowl Game because of their own... questionable decision. The Golden Flashes made it to the GoDaddy Bowl, but didn't win. Oh well. Hey, they got there, yanno? So here's the last one direct from Brent Musberger.

"...he's one who can take it deep...just ask the Georgia Bulldogs..."

Um... wow. Okay. I've got a dirty mind, but that... taken out of context... is just really bad. Good thing he was talking about running the ball after it was caught.

Well, enjoy! We don't have much time left before the quotes turn into NASCAR, and trust me, there's a whole cornucopia there. Enjoy!

Ten Line Tuesday!!

This is from a shifter story I've already submitted. I love the story and hope you (as well as the editors) do, too. Grin. It's tentatively titled, Dual Threat. Enjoy!!

“It’s crazy.” She fumbled with her buckle. “I don’t know what you two have planned, but I’m scared and excited.”

Evan left the door open, but didn’t leave. “Why? Afraid we’ll bite?”

“I’m not worried about the biting.” She chuckled. “You’re tigers. Biting has to factor in somewhere.”

“Then what is it?”

“Our friendship. I know what I want to do tonight and once we cross that threshold, there’s no going back. Are we sure we want to take whatever we’ve got between us to the next level?”

“Lines are meant to be crossed.”

Monday Moans ~ Miss Me Baby

arekmalang / 123RF Stock Photo

I love my Ghost Explorers and the subsequent story, Miss Me Baby. The book came out in October. Missed it? Want a taste test? Why not? Grin. Here's a little bit from Miss Me Baby.

Miss Me Baby
Total-E-Bound
Contemporary, Paranormal
M/F, spanking
Novella
Available here Say you’ll haunt me, since I’ll never stop loving you.

Felicity Black never quite understood love. She worked her assets to get what she wanted and didn’t care who got in the way. Until she met John. He saw past her superficial self to the woman inside. Death separated her from John before she could tell him how she truly felt. Now she’s got her chance...just not in the way she expected.

John wanted Felicity to haunt him. She had been the only woman to stir not only his heart but his soul as well. But the woman claiming to be his lost love can’t be her... Felicity was dead. He has to decide whether to trust his gut or walk away from a new start.

Can a second chance at a first impression lead to love or a lifetime of heartbreak?

Reader Advisory: This story contains an out-of-body experience, voyeurism, spanking, rough sex, masturbation, and a chance for love to strike twice.

“You’re wearing too much now, Sweets.”

Felicity snapped her fingers. The thin tank and jeans she’d been wearing disappeared, leaving her in nothing but a thong. “You were saying?”

John yanked her tight against him and raked his nails down her chest. Felicity shivered and leaned into his touch. She moved his palm to her breast.

“Pinch it.”

John rolled her nipple between his index finger and thumb. Felicity moaned and caressed the bulge in his pants. She rolled her hips and shifted her damp pussy over his thigh. “John, fuck me.” She clenched her teeth and tilted her head back. “So good. Harder. Mark me. Fuck.”

Holy hell. If she kept up grinding on him and talking dirty, he’d come in his pants. He glanced around the space they were in. Four walls and a bed. Perfect…if he had any idea where the room was located. He mentally shrugged and walked to the bed with her in his arms.

“Lay down.”

Felicity gave him a sideways smile and dipped her head once as she sat down on the edge of the mattress. John grabbed the thin band of elastic on her thong and pulled. The flimsy fabric gave way, leaving her bare. Felicity cupped her breasts and opened her legs.

“Beautiful.” He worked the button on his pants. Seeing her glistening pussy and smelling the sweet scent of her arousal got to him every time. He struggled with the zipper. “Fuck.”

New Years and Sexy Hot Fun!

The new year means lots of naughtiness. It's always fun to be naughty. I've been told I'm on the permanent naughty list. Works for me. I have more fun that way. How've I been naughty this year? I wrote a couple of BDSM stories that I love and got to do lots of exploring to learn about what I wrote about.

For this next year, I plan to stay naughty. My goals are to finish at least three short stories featuring more BDSM. I plan on submitting to a couple of new to me publishing houses and not giving up. Seems simple, but sometimes simple is the hardest thing to do. Grin. I'll give it my naughty best.

Now for you for this year, there are a lot of prizes up for grabs. Including:

$100 gift card to EdenFantasys
